Women are the only exploited group in history to have been idealized into powerlessness.

The Vested Interests
The institution exploited me.
The employer exploited me.
The doctors too exploited me
The lawyer is not of exception.
Spoilt by the vested interests,
I went worse than a prostitute.

The History Teacher
Woman!
Where exactly
Did you put me
In the women's history?
Am I History?
Or a part of it?
And for how long you are lacking me in;
Between
Your History,
Women's History, and
Your archives?
Does time make sense to you
As a History teacher or
As a History professor?
Cause', History, buying time, and rejuvenation
Are for emperors.
Are you making me
An emperor?
Or a Faeroe?
If so,
How precise your are?
And if you can't feel my present presence
how possibility could you feel me through your archives?

I Live Off You
I live off you
And you live off me
And the whole world
Lives off of everybody
See we gotta be exploited
See we gotta be exploited
By somebody by somebody
By somebody
The cat eats the rat
While the pimp beats the whore
As she just screams out
For more and more
See we gotta be exploited
See we gotta be exploited
By somebody by somebody
By somebody

aaa1 you are, she is, I am She was (conversations in my head)
You are,
She is
The most beautiful memory
And you are
She is, the reason the words won’t come
You are the dream I let go
She was more than I can tell you
You are less than you believe yourself to be
She is two sides of the same story and more than she knows
You gave me just enough, just enough
She stole my respect without me realising
You had to have it your way
She knew my weakness, exploited it
You had the most perfect lips
I still see my finger tracing their arch
Your lips, your lips in bedroom shade
Let me tell you I miss her lips
You have no idea what you did to me, no idea
It still hurts, still hurts, still hurts
Your memory refuses to die, you won’t go away
She is my history, my beautiful, wonderful, painful history
That is what you are, history,
Painful history

When a person identifies himself with a group his critical faculties are diminished and his passions enhanced by a kind of emotive resonance. The individual is not a killer, the group is, and by identifying with it, the individual becomes one. This is the infernal dialect reflected in man's history.

I don't see women and think of them as competition or with judgment. Women really move me. I feel connected to all kinds of women. I am angry because I think we've been mistreated throughout history in different countries, including America. I admire women.

Better than anything else in our culture, it enables fathers and sons to speak on a level playing field while building up from within a personal history of shared experience - a group history - that may be tapped into at will in years to come.

Women in Beijing in one September
Women by the thousands
come marching by
to mark history among nations.
Never again should women
be sold, battered and raped.
Never again should girl
fetuses in the mother`s womb
be doomed to death.
Never again should the women`s
spirit be extinquished.
Can a gathering of women
among nations make up a change?
The marching of women
prompts attention -
a human bomb to announce
that women`s issues are
crucial to our world`s survival.

Subliminal or Not That is The Q
Are women wild by choice...?
Or by a subliminal push...
So I ask in a different way...
Are women exploited...
Because that is there choice...?
Or is sublimunal that voice...
Bear with me ladies...
Don't beam up just yet...
Just think about that...
Look at the teenage female...
Today...
Is her mother...
The reason for the things...
She say...
Why so young...
When they run away...
Did her mother tell her...
she was old enough or...
She is ready for rice...
Remember she has been watching...
T.V. all of your life...

So what is the gender of your computer?
The men's group decided that 'computer' should
> definitely be of the feminine gender ('la computadora') , because:
>
> 1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic;
> 2. The native language they use to communicate with
> other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else;
> 3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long
> term memory for possible later retrieval; and
> 4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find
> yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.
> (THIS GETS BETTER!)
> The women's group, however, concluded that computers
> should be Masculine el computador') , because:
> 1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on;
>
> 2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves;
>
> 3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time
> they ARE the problem; and
>
> 4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited
> a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.
The women won.

Strong Women
My family is a family
Of strong women
Of that there is no doubt
These women
Have withstood
The challenges of their times.
All of life’s trials
The worst of the worst
History has not been kind
Deaths, rapes and murders
They have had to live with daily
Live with on their minds.
Unexpected circumstance
Have tested my ancestral women
And they somehow survived
And somehow they managed to live on
Sometimes all alone
And to go on and to thrive.
And now in the Halls of History
They can stand up and be counted
Among those women
Among the best of the best
Those who are still considered to be
Strong Women.

Without women
Today a daughter and a princess
Tomorrow a mother or a mistress
Up! Up! Up! Women
Stop! Stop! Stop! Women
Perhaps true, perhaps true
Women are amazing creatures
Moulded with dazzling features
Women are an object of mystery
Have their own place in history
Women are great
They make the best dates
Except when they turn up very late
Without women
What will become of us?
No more noises on the bus
No one to make all the fuss
Without women
What will become of men?
Who will teach them,
How to behave and learn?
Women are the spicy ingredient of romance
Women are the juicy parent of importance
Women are a heavenly treasure
The epitome of human pleasure
Up! Up! Up! Women
Stop! Stop! Stop! Women
Perhaps true, perhaps true
Without women
Would this earth have survived?
Without women
Imagine how many will feel deprived
Women are simply delicious
Beware they can be serious
Especially when suspicious
And turn to Mrs Vicious
Women are priceless
Without women
Life will be without spice
Simply lifeless

Our dreams of bringing the whole of human history under the control of the human will are ironically refuted by the fact that no group of idealists can easily move the pattern of history toward the desired goal of peace and justice. The recalcitrant forces in the historical drama have a power and persistence beyond our reckoning.

History is full of stories, full of triumph and tragedy and battles won and lost. It is the people who speak to me, the men and women who once lived and loved and dreamed and grieved, just as we do. Though some may have had crowns on their heads or blood on their hands, in the end they were not so different from you and me, and therein lies their fascination. I suppose I am still a believer in the now unfashionable "heroic" school, which says that history is shaped by individual men and women and the choices that they make, by deeds glorious and terrible.

No other group in America has so had their identity socialized out of existence as have black women... When black people are talked about the focus tends to be on black men; and when women are talked about the focus tends to be on white women.

Black History Month
In January...
There they are making history.
In February...
There they are making history.
In March...
There they are making history.
In April...
There they are making history.
In May...
There they are making history.
In June...
There they are making history.
In July...
There they are making history.
In August...
There they are making history.
In September...
There they are making history.
In October...
There they are making history.
In November...
There they are making history.
In December...
There they are making history.
But...
It's nice to know
The shortest month of the year
Was chosen to celebrate
The great deeds of African-Americans!
However...
It is those LEAP YEARS,
That really have the blacks jumping for joy!
