Because there is so little room for expression otherwise, a lot of people love cinema because they find it a way of expressing themselves.

Looking At The Many People
Looking at the many people.
Looking at the many people,
Waiting to live a life they like.
The many people...
In a luxurized hype.
Looking at the people,
Waiting for a life they like.
The many people.
Looking at the many people.
Embittered and lamenting.
Looking at the many people.
Living venting and resenting.
Looking at the many people.
Condescending and offending.
Looking at the many people.
Expressing their sad sentiments...
And in their minds they're losing sense.
Looking at the many people.
Looking at the many people.
Waiting for a life they like.
The many people.

Looking at the many people.

I was never polluted by the world of cinema. I didn't even have a TV until I was 16. My expression is a reflection of the world I have seen, and in that world everyone was barefoot in bathing suits, following the order of the sea, the natural order of sunrise and sunset. I never went to the cinematheque. I didn't know much about the masters of world cinema.

Without Expression
Written by: Terry Reid 1968
Have you ever ridden horses through a rainstorm?
Or a lion through a busy street bazarre?
There are many things I'd love to turn you on to
But somehow I feel they're safer where they are
Yes, there's a man I know
With no expression
He's got none at all
Yes, there's a man that I know
With no expression, darling
He's got none at all
Well, some people are inbound with infatuation
And some others spill depression as the law
From one's mother getting at no imagination
So beware then, maybe sin is at your door
Yes, there's a man that I know
With no expression
He's got none at all
Yes, there's a man I know
With no expression
He's got none at all
But you may never, never
See this man laughing
Come to think of it,
I've never seen him cry
But he might be sitting
And you hear him singing
And by and by he'll stop and sigh
Before his voice would even begin to speak
And he'd just cry
Yes, There's a man I know
With no expression, darling
He's got none at all
Yes, There's a man that I know
With no expression
He's got none at all
Have you ever, ever ridden horses through a rainstorm?
Or a lion through a busy street bazarre?
There are many things I'd love to turn you on to
But somehow I feel they're safer where they are
Yes, There's a man that I know
With no expression
He's got none at all
There's a man that I know
With no expression
He's got none at all

Dear World
I often forget that you think
differently from me, whereas
I respect & value all opinions
I forget that everybody has a
unique personality, sees life in
a different light
Sometimes when I express pain
or delight in hoping a reader might
get an inkling of how it felt, yet no-
one seems to feel the same way, I
feel bad - thinking I have failed
Afterwards I remember writing is
important as a way of expressing
feelings, NOT a way to impress
anyone; true expression of true
feeling should not become a
popularity contest
It is the reader's prerogative to
feel and react as they do, cool
people find such emotional
expression strange while I am
confused by their calm way of
dealing with things
But I LIKE their Saturnine self-
sufficiency and apologise for
not always respecting quiet
detachment - I very much
approve of it, just forgetting
how big the difference is
Reality is better than dreams
because reality is wider; every
dream is limited, collapsing the
infinite possibilities of reality
into small expression
I prefer escaping the self-centred
melodrama of dreams in reality
enabling us to recreate dreams
and rework visions everlastingly

Whether it's people walking off 'The View' when Bill O'Reilly makes a statement about radical Islam or Juan Williams being fired for expressing his opinion, over-reaching political correctness is chipping away at the fundamental American freedoms of speech and expression.

No leader sets out to become a leader. People set out to live their lives, expressing themselves fully. When that expression is of value, they become leaders. So the point is not to become a leader. The point is to become yourself, to use yourself completely

Poem about Poetry - Telling it as it is
people who have problem
expressing themselves
keep the gold mine there
and find the tools
extract the gold ounce by ounce
let us see all its glitter and shine
without any being thrown over
people who have no problem
expressing themselves
keep the gold mine there
and let us see the gold and all its glitter
ounce by ounce without any
being glossed over

Rilke's Fear Of Dogs
had less to do
with any harm
they might inflict
than with the sad
look in their eyes
expressing a need
for love he felt
he couldn't meet.
And so he looked
away from them.
He was too busy
for such obligations,
waiting instead
for angels to speak,
looking up at heaven
with an expression
they couldn't help
responding to,
try as they might
to avoid his gaze.

Man With No Expression
There's a man I know with no expression no not none at all
Have you ever ridden horses through a rainstorm
or led a lion through a busy street bazaar
There are many things I'd like to turn you on to
but somehow I feel you're safer where you are
If you're looking for examples to refer to
take a look around yourself I'm sure you'll find
there are many things to make your life much brighter
and I'd bet there's many more inside your mind
There's a man I know with no expression no not none at all
There's a man I know with no expression no not none at all
But I've never seen this man laughing
and come to think of it I've never seen him cry
But I might by sitting hear him singing
By and by he'll stop and sigh
he'll feel a breeze and then begin to freeze
as he thinks goodbye
Have you ever ridden horses through a rainstorm
or led a lion through a busy street bazaar
There are many things I'd like to turn you on to
but somehow I feel you're safer where you are
There's a man I know with no expression no not none at all
There's a man with no expression
man with no expression
man with no expression

Find expression for a sorrow and it will become dear to you. Find expression for a joy, and you will intensify its ecstasy.
When I Look at the World
When you look at the world
What is it that you see
People find all kinds of things
That bring them to their knees
I see an expression
So clear and so true
That it changes the atmosphere
When you walk into the room
So I try to be like you
Try to feel it like you do
But without you it's no use
I can't see what you see
When I look at the world
When the night is someone else's
And you're trying to get some sleep
When your thoughts are too expensive
To ever want to keep
When there's all kinds of chaos
And everyone is walking lame
You don't even blink now do you
Or even look away
So I try to be like you
Try to feel it like you do
But without you it's no use
I can't see what you see
When I look at the world
I can't wait any longer
I can't wait 'til I'm stronger
Can't wait any longer
To see what you see
When I look at the world
I'm in the waiting room
I can't see for the smoke
I think of you and your holy book
When the rest of us choke
Tell me

I really love sort of classical cinema where people were telling stories with very little dialogue, and people were using the camera in a really interesting way.

For At Least Two Or Three Weeks A Month
I feel there is nothing upsetting.
Nothing at all...
With those devoted to self love.
And committed to pretentions.
I find people like that,
To be great conversationalists.
Even if they do it...
With every chance to talk about themselves.
I find nothing wrong with that at all.
And when such social affairs are over,
So blessed I feel...
Not to live under the same roof,
With anyone like that...
I could not avoid to escape,
If I chose to move from room to room.
Just the thought of them being that close,
Would make me always find excuses to leave...
For at least two or three weeks a month to rejuvenate.

Variations of Love
The universe has
Germinated from love.
Yet to define
We find it
Pretty tuff.
Some people find love
Juicey and sweet,
That's why they grab it,
And never try to quit.
To someone
Love means sour,
Some people find it
As untouchable tower.
Some people define love
Tasteless and bitter,
They just sleep lazy
Like lotus eater.
Some people define love
As combinations of all,
Either manage them smoothly
Or, let it fall.
Some people for love
Ready to die,
To get love
some people
Even don't try.
For love some people
Even become fool,
Some people for success
Use it as effective tool.
Love to me is
Like the invisible air,
That can be felt
And drags her near.
