With A Roaring Sound Waves Crash

With a roaring sound waves crash
under Waenhuiskrans,
and they cave there
when gigantic tongues of spray
like white stars break mightily
drenching everything with deep water
like white stars,
like white stars
just before the red dawn comes.

With a roaring sound waves crash
deep out of the dark sea,
like a pack of hungry wolves
that does not give up territory
the water keeps hammering
where it knocks against hard rock,
the water keeps hammering.
the water keeps hammering
until it flows through the cave itself.

With a roaring sound waves crash,
hit battering blows
with endless power
into the folds of the rock
and caught you and I stand
where we see a spectacle
and caught

mightily the sea sweeps past.

One Hundred Ripples

One hundred ripples I mark today
One hundred steps along my way

One hundred steps lead to the pond
One hundred trees there do surround

One hundred birds nesting among the trees
One hundred bees filling the air with these

One hundred bees buzzing about in the air
One hundred flowers are pollinating there

One hundred flowers provide the aromas sweet
For one hundred bouquets given to lovers as treat

One hundred lovers walk the winding pathway
One hundred times to find romance there each day

One hundred times they will reach to explore
One hundred pebbles found along the pond shore

One hundred pebbles carry wishes through the air
One hundred ripples on surface creating there

One hundred ripples then spreading out will begin
One hundred waves soon lapping at the shore again

One hundred waves providing the means for
One hundred more pebbles to reach the shore

One hundred pebbles scatter along the pathway

They told me that I couldnt come back here again
Took me for some kind of fool
Said I was doing things that never should be done
But I dont care about their rules
As if I cared bout the little minds
In the little heads of the herd
Theres nothing you could dream
Would be more absurd

Glint of gumtrees in the dawn,
so million coloured: bush wind-borne
magpie-music, rising, falling;
and voices of the stockmen calling.

Bellowing of cattle: stamping,
impatient of the place of camping:
bark of dogs, and the crack-crack-crack
of stockwhips as we take the track.

Neighing of night-rested mounts…
This is a day that really counts:

Hammer Friend, Hammer Loud

building workers
hammering
with tremendous thrust
to dust the roof
of old construction

long time
unbearable sound
of repeated hammering
puzzled my nerves
but when I observed
the accurate task...
got excited
