You need a teaching coach who understands the game of basketball, not just some guy coming on the court talking about Xs and Os.

Do They Play Basketball In Heaven?
your friend who died two days ago
finally gave you the answer
yes, they play basketball in heaven
in a heavenly basketball court
and all games there are set
tomorrow you shall be
playing with them.

I played baseball, and that's pretty much it. Basketball came late, this was, basketball was the sport that I tried to master, I kind of mastered baseball, so basketball was one of those things where I wanted to master this game, so that's why I probably play it the way I do.

I'm a bit surprised that the Raiders turned to Art Shell to be their new head coach, not because Shell isn't a good head coach - he had success before as the Raiders' head coach - but because he's been away from the game so long and the game has changed a lot in those years.

Trouble In The Gym
The gym is a place nobody wants to be,
you have the coach yelling at you,
the ropes get loose when you're climbing and you fall off,
people are shoving you down during inline hockey,
nobody calls a foul when you get run over in basketball,
you argue with the coach,
you have to take your shirt off in shirts versus skins football,
you look really skinny when you can't bear to look at anybody who's a skin,
the obstacle course is rather a torture device,
and you get beat down in track and field.
Don't you just want to avoid this torture?
Now, what we are not talking about, what you're really coming to, is what compromises one makes so that the listener understands somewhat of what you're doing, what you're trying to express.

I coach my daughter's softball and basketball team. We go to all the school functions. We go out to eat at night and take the kids to the movies. We try to be as normal as we can.

The basketball coach cut me within two days, so I was back in the pool. I was the first one in the wall after the first 25 yards, but the last one out because I didn't have a flip turn.

So you're dealing with a coach, and you're dealing with a guy who's actually experienced NBA basketball from a player's perspective and actually goes about it that way.

Sudden Death
Sudden Death
The deceased was seventeen years old-
An enlarged heart, the coroner claims.
A basketball player on the court.
his team trailing in the game.
Their perfect season was at risk
when he shot and made a “Three”
He then collapsed upon the court
midst shouts of victory.
Hearts are unromantic things
That race and slow by turns.
They simply pump
While we run and jump
And prance about life’s stage.
We take for granted our own hearts
As we wander through our days.
Our faithful friend who never sleeps
So we can laugh and play
And when hearts fail we feel the pain
Of songs now left unsung.
That’s why we’re haunted by the tales
of Athletes dying young.

I had never picked up a basketball before. I went through a grueling audition process. It was almost as if I was learning to walk. It would be like teaching somebody to dance ballet for a role.

Itll Be Me
(john farrar/hank marvin)
Whos gonna shoe your pretty feet
Whos gonna hold your hand
Whos gonna take you out tonight
To listen to the band
Wholl be the one you love to love
Whos gonna make you glow
Whos gonna show you off tonight
When she takes you to the show
Itll be me
Babe, itll be me
Coming for thee
Babe, coming for thee
In case theres any doubt
Heres what Im talkin about
Itll be me
Babe, itll be me
Whos gonna meet you in the morn
Court you through the day
Whos gonna be there by your side
When you rock the night away
Itll be me
Babe, itll be me
Coming for thee
Babe, coming for thee
In case theres any doubt
Heres what Im talking about
Itll be me
Babe, itll be me
Coming for thee
Babe, coming for thee
In case theres any doubt
Heres what Im talking Im talking about me
Babe, itll be me
Itll be me, babe

Fundamental Of Liar Chapter CXVIII: I’m Just Talking To Myself
I’m not talking to you
I’m not talking to anyone
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not grumbling
I’m not cursing
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not insane
I’m not in trance
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not mocking
I’m not threatening
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not sharing secret
I’m not hiding something
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not mad
I’m not in rage
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not jealous
I’m not envious
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not afraid
I’m not in pessimism thought
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not whining
I’m not complaining
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not depressed
I’m not in foul mood
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not blaming
I’m not accusing
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not in denial
I’m not in confusion
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not informing
I’m not warning
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not against you
I’m not rebelling
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not help you
I’m not assist you
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not running some plot
I’m not in a mischief plan
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not in great grudge
I’m not in revenge mind
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not suspicious
I’m not curious
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not saying sorry
I’m not saying thank you
I’m just talking to myself

Every little kid that steps on the court or the field has aspirations to go pro. I think being a pro basketball player is the best job. The thing I had to realize was that I can't do every dream that I have.

I've done a lot of basketball drills, not a whole lot of competitive stuff. I have basically been in the gym everyday working on my game, working on the time off that I've had from the game, just getting myself prepared mentally and physically for the season.

March On Down The Line
Lover out my way
Ill stand up to anything
Move on out this heartbeat
The sun is over
A new day, a new way
Im coming out this time
A new name, lets play the game
And march on down the line
Ive got lots to share
About the way I feel inside
Round and round this place
Like a shotgun fire
A new day, a new way
Im coming out this time
A new name, lets play the game
And march on down the line
(a-ha lets play the game)
A new day, a new way
Im coming out this time
A new name, lets play the game
And march on down the line
Now the fight is won
Stand attendant and tall again
God is on our side
Dance on up to heaven
A new day, a new way
Im coming out this time
A new name, lets play the game
And march on down the line
(a-ha lets play the game)
A new day, a new way
Im coming out this time
A new name, lets play the game
And march on down the line
A new day, a new way
Im coming out this time
A new name, lets play the game
And march on down the line

Sight Seeing.
Walking around the Arc de Triomphe
Looking up at the names carved in the
Walls wondering if you’d see any names
Of distant relatives carved up there
Amongst the brave and fallen knowing
The coach would be waiting soon and
Wanting to see more and take in the
Atmosphere of the place trying to avoid
The other foreigners with their cameras
And tourist garb and glasses wishing to
Capture with your eyes images for your
Minds to feed on and remember when
You lie in bed and talk with the lights
Out and seeing now the coach driver and
Guide waving their arms you know it’s
Time for you and your lady to go back to
The coach and sit and wait for the next
City sight and the coming of a Paris night.
