Our libraries are valuable centers of education, learning and enrichment for people of all ages. In recent years, libraries have taken on an increasingly important role. today's libraries are about much more than books.
Schools and libraries are the twin cornerstones of a civilized society. Libraries are only good if people use them, like books only exist when someone reads them.

We're competing with everything: the beach, the mall, bookstores. Libraries are in a transition right now, caught between two forces, the old ways and technology. Libraries are under a lot of pressure to provide both.

Fear is always there
Some people say they fear nothing,
I say so myself.
But that is wrong,
that cannot be true.
When people say they fear nothing,
it makes me think.
Fear is always there,
as a part of our lives.
I say I fear nothing,
I say I can handle all,
But that is wrong,
I know that is not true.
Of course, we all fear death,
I fear death,
But that is not my worst fear.
I fear I lose all,
I fear I lose my friends,
I fear I lose my family.
Even though I don't say so.
Even though I may not show it.
I fear I lose all I love.
Some people say they fear nothing,
But that is not true.
They fear something,
we all do.
Just because of the fact,
that fear is always there,
as a part of our lives

One of the greatest gifts my brother and I received from my mother was her love of literature and language. With their boundless energy, libraries open the door to these worlds and so many others. I urge young and old alike to embrace all that libraries have to offer.

Our Founders warned against this. They said don't... that your liberty is only as secure as the people are. Because once they, um, get the ability to vote themselves entitlements from the largesse of the government, liberty is done; freedom is over with. We were warned. We are there.

I Don Wanna Know
It's over, oh yes it's all over
And it's been a long time coming
Some say it's too long
She said it, and now she'll regret it
But if she'd ask anyone
I know they'll tell her to her face, that it's too late
Cos I don't wanna know
No, I don't wanna know
She can cry all she wants
She's not gonna bring me back, no no
I don't wanna know
I don't wanna know
She can try all she wants
It's not gonna get me back, oh oh, no no
They warned me
Oh yes they all warned me
They told me, don't lose your heart to her
She'll never give it back, no no
Oh it's too late
She made a big mistake
It wouldn't be the first one anyway
Tell me how many more, no no no
No I don't wanna know (what she said)
No I don't wanna know (what she said)
She can cry all she wants
She's not gonna bring me back, no no
I don't wanna know (what she said)
No I don't wanna know (what she said)
She can try all she wants
It's not gonna get me back, oh oh, no no
It's over
Oh oh it's all over
And it's been a long time coming
Some say it's too long, oh oh
They warned me
Yes they all warned me
They told me, now don't lose your head to her
She'll never give it back, no no, no no
I don't wanna know (what she said)
No I don't wanna know (what she said)
She can cry all she wants
She's not gonna get me back, no no

Too Many Too
Too many drivers in too many cars.
Too many lost souls drinking in too many bars.
Too many heroes stepping on too many toes.
Too many yes-men nodding when they really mean no.
Too many lives each cat can lose ---
Weve got too many too.
Too many too.
Too much sunshine. too many drops of rain.
Too many equal and average children who will all grow up the same.
Too many fireside politicians holding too many views.
Too many questions --- but there are answers too few.
Too many lives each cat can lose ---
Weve got too many too.
If I were a liar --- yes, and you were a cheat ---
There would be too many places where we all could meet.
Too many temples where we could worship the beast.
Where he who thinks he had the most in fact has the least.
Too many lives each cat can lose --
Ive got too many too.
Ive got too many too.

I Want A Warning
History is made, not repeated
And you hide behind words that make you feel needed
And what you read in those books made you so conceited
So in order for love to be true
My dreams will have to
Become my only rules
I want a warning
I want a warning
I want something more than a warning
I've been warned about you
I see through all your promises and warnings
I want a warning
I want a warning
I want something more than a warning
I've been warned about you
I see through all your promises and warnings
Wake me up on into a world outdated
And the older you get the more you seem jaded
As you search for the quotes to make it seem complicated
So in order for love to be true
Even my nightmares
Become my only rules
I want a warning
I want a warning
I want something more than a warning
I've been warned about you
I see through all your promises and warnings
I want a warning
I want a warning
I want something more than a warning
I've been warned about you
But I've seen through
Every promise is a warning
I want a warning
I want a warning
I want something more than a warning
I've been warned about you
I see through all your promises and warnings
I want a warning
I want a warning
I want something more than a warning
I've been warned about you
I've seen through
For a promise of a warning

You Can't Lose At Love (Crush Demo)
You can lose at cards
You can lose your keys
You can lose the house or lose the lease
You can lose your car, you can lose the race
You can lose your mind or lose your faith
Take a look around and hear what I've gotta say
You can't lose at love
No, you can't lose at love
You can't lose at love
You can't lose at love
Chose anything you can dream of
No, you can't lose at love
We could lose the plot
Or we could lose our way
But I ain't going to lose
These ain't good games we're playing
Let me make you an offer too good to refuse
No, you can't lose at love
No, you can't lose at love
You can't lose at love
You can't lose at love
Chose anything you can dream of
But you can't lose at love
Now we just might roll a seven, these ain't loaded dice
We'll never get to heaven from this driveway tonight
You've heard a million promises that's never come through
Baby I'm telling you we're due
You can't lose at love
You can't lose at love
Chose anything you can dream of
But baby, you can't lose at love
Take a chance on me
Cause you can't lose at love
Take a chance on me
No, you can't lose at love
Take a chance on me
You can't lose at love
No, you can't lose at love
You can't lose at love
You can't lose
You can't lose

If We Quit
I'm breaking down because were breaking up
Sometimes too much is still less than enough
My soul is bleeding
I can't just quit you
We said forever
My hearts still beating
I'm telling you if we quit now we both lose
It's sad but true If we quit now we both lose
I'm warning you if we quit now we both lose
We wont We wont lose
We started strong but somehow came up lame
We saw we conquered too bad we never came
The conversations we held in future tense
Now I wonder if we'll bother to end our sentences
Some people spend their lives wishing for what we've got
So darling please don't make this time we spent all for not
I know that sometimes I can make you feel so crazy
Sedate me if it makes things better
But maybe what you need is a little insanity
We could howl at the moon together

Art Achieved Spins
art time
art elastic time
stretches
into art objects
concrete
wet paint
touchable images
constructed realities
art achieved spins
stretches libraries
fills glass museums
wow collector walls
art lives in cells
electrified brains
speaks primal instincts
mourns clipped wings
cut veins
bleed art lives
blood vanish mixes
weep red violins

People Puttin People Down
People who are sad - sometimes they wear a frown
And people who are kings - sometimes they wear a crown
But all the people who dont fit
Get the only fun they get
From people puttin people down
People puttin people down
People without love - sometimes build a fence around
The garden up above - that makes the whole world go round
But all the people who dont fit
Get the only fun they get
From people puttin people down
People puttin people down
So cold, sometimes it gets so cold
You may love your wife - you may lose your family
You may lose you mind - just to keep your sanity
But the people who dont fit
Get the only fun they get
From people puttin people down
People puttin people down
People that are glad - sometimes they wear a smile
And people without dreams they walk the extra mile
But all the people who dont fit
Get the only fun they get
From people puttin people down
People puttin people dwn
From people puttin people down
People puttin people down
So cold, sometimes it gets so cold

Its Up To You
When the breeze between us calls, love comes and lingers into our lives,
And the leaves begin to fall, you point your finger at me.
I love you-
I love you-
In the sadness of your smile love is an island way out to sea,
But it seems so long ago we have been ready trying to be free.
And its up to you,
Why wont you say?
Make our lives turn out this way.
If they knew, that we have got nothing to lose,
No reason to hide from whats true.
In the world of me and you
All is forgotten when were inside
And the words that pass us by,
I am not listening, all of its lies.
And its up to you,
Why wont you say?
Make our lives turn out this way.
If they knew, that we have got nothing to lose,
No reason to hide from whats true,
That we have got nothing to lose.

Johnny
Somewhere on the waterfront
Johnnys hiding with a gun
Swears hell kill any man that tells his story
Hes not sorry for what hes done
He broke into a drugstore
To cure his daily need
He didnt mean to shoot the guard
But he was blinded by the greed
Oh johnny
You see that nun, shes his sister
She doesnt know that hes gone bad
When they told it to his father
It drove the old man mad
Just as his mother warned him
From her dying bed
Its alright to lose your heart
But never lose your head
Oh johnny
Now the cops have got him surrounded
And he doesnt stand a hope
He wonders how he could be in so much trouble
Over just a little dope
Five to one he gets away
Thats the odds Im going to give
Five to four they blast him away
Three to one hes going to live
Oh johnny
Back in the alley where he was slain
I thought I heard something move
Beside the trash can lay a heart and chain
The picture had been removed
Just another juiced up junkie
Looking for a bed
Its alright to lose your heart
But never lose your head
Oh johnny
