11th September 2011
10 years after 11th September 2001,
But, what is next ahead of us? !
Because, i have finished cutting the grass;
And the cloud is very dark! !
But, will the rains fall os us?
Or, will the bullets of war meet us?
For, September 11th is still in our minds.

I still have a full-time day job, which is why it took me five years to write An Ear to the Ground, and why I won't have another book finished by next week.

As soon as I finished the first book, I wrote a second, which I hope to sell this year, and I have just about finished the third book in the series. Two more are already outlined. I'm in this for the long haul.

Last Week
Oh, the new-chum went to the backblock run,
But he should have gone there last week.
He tramped ten miles with a loaded gun,
But of turkey of duck saw never a one,
For he should have been there last week,
They said,
There were flocks of 'em there last week.
He wended his way to a waterfall,
And he should have gone there last week.
He carried a camera, legs and all,
But the day was hot and the stream was small,
For he should have gone there last week,
They said,
They drowned a man there last week.
He went for a drive, and he made a start,
Which should have been made last week,
For the old horse died of a broken heart;
So he footed it home and he dragged the cart --
But the horse was all right last week,
They said,
He trotted a match last week.
So he asked all the bushies who came from afar
To visit the town last week
If the'd dine with him, and they said "Hurrah!"
But there wasn't a drop in the whisky jar --
You should have been here last week,
He said,
I drank it all up last week!

Big Fun
LYRICS BY LORRAINE FEATHER
MUSIC BY EDDIE ARKIN
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The night is glamorous
The weekend is ahead of us
And were ready for it honey
Big Fun
And were ready for it honey
Big Fun
Well I can hardly wait
The skyline shines like heaven's gate
And were ready for it honey
Big Fun
And we're ready for it honey
Big Fun
Here comes Big Fun
Im steppin out with a special one
Here comes Big Fun
Got through the week somehow
Well kiss like this
Catch up on all the romance we missed
Here comes Big Fun
Were gonna have it now
The workdays dead and gone
The girls are putting make-up on
And were ready for it honey
Big Fun
And were ready for it honey
Big Fun
Around the neighborhood
We concentrate on looking good
And were ready for it honey
Big Fun
And were ready for it honey
Big Fun
Here comes Big Fun
Im steppin out with a special one
Here comes Big Fun
Got through the week somehow
Well kiss like this
Catch up on all the romance we missed
Here comes Big Fun
Were gonna have it now
A thundering dance beat
Spills into the big street
This is Big Fun
The crowds are peaking
And horns are beeping
This is Big Fun
We run through the door
Stampede the dance floor
This is Big Fun
Were flying non-stop
Well do it til we drop
This is Big Fun
Here comes Big Fun
Im steppin out with a special one
Here comes Big Fun
Got through the week somehow
Well kiss like this
Catch up on all the romance we missed
Here comes Big Fun
Were gonna have it now

I had to wait a while to get the scans back but it shows nothing in terms of needing surgery which is good. I hurt my AC joint and I just need to strengthen it. There is an outside chance to start training by the end of this week and if not than the start of next week.

Ready For a New Year
Im ready for a new year...
Well, maybe a new day.
Im just ready to be ok.
No more worry's and no more pain...
And do you think that's insane?
Im just ready to be done.
I can't say this year was fun,
but even now, i have no regrets.
what i have been threw has yet to be put to rest.
A new year, month, or week.
Can't you tell i am ready?
And i can't stress this enough,
i know life is tough,
so wish me good luck.
Im so ready for a brand new year,
and i can't wait till it gets here.
Because, when it do-
don't say i didn't tell you...
Im Ready For a New Year! ! !

I was never confident about finishing a book, but friends encouraged me. When I finished my first book, it was accepted by a publisher right away and became an instant bestseller. One male critic called it the most shocking book he ever read.

Whenever Youre Ready
Little one done run out of money now
No, it doesnt seem to have a home
Left to fend for yourself in the wilderness
Out there living life all alone
Whenever youre ready
You could see a dream come true
Whenever youre ready
Im just saying its up to you
Whenever youre ready
Things could start looking up
Whenever youre ready
Take a big sip from the loving cup
Making that face carved out of stone
Coping real hard with a losing hand
Sound of a dog choking on a chicken bone
It just cant be the way that you had things planned, my friend
Whenever youre ready, yeah yeah
Things could start to happen real fast
Whenever youre ready, my good friend
Sure we could get one built to last
Whenever youre ready
Oh we could get it done today
Whenever youre ready
Sure enough you could come out and play
Cold, hot, ready or not
Whatever youve got
What have you got to lose, my good friend?
Whenever youre ready
Whenever youre ready, my good friend
{repeat)

Words Which Hold Me Captive
Told Nici I had finished the first book, with starry eyes
she brought the second volume also, I have almost
finished the third one too, she said, and I could not
withstand the charm of this series written for teens,
beautifully sculpted to keep readers on tenterhooks
as hero and heroine were driven apart
Unwillingly at first, trying to withstand its spell, I began
to read, was sucked deep into the story world, every-
thing disappeared and I read until the second book
came to a discordant end, threatening tragedy, I would
have to read the third book also, no stopping this lovely
sheath of dreams from carrying my spirit away
No realism can penetrate or dispel the beautiful illusion
or destroy the magic words which hold me captive -
and I am such a willing victim…

Are You Ready?
Are you ready, are you ready?
Are you ready, are you ready?
Are you ready to meet jesus?
Are you where you ought to be?
Will he know you when he sees you
Or will he say, depart from me?
Are you ready, hope youre ready.
Am I ready, am I ready?
Am I ready, am I ready?
Am I ready to lay down my life for the brethren
And to take up my cross?
Have I surrendered to the will of god
Or am I still acting like the boss?
Am I ready, hope Im ready.
When destruction cometh swiftly
And theres no time to say a fare-thee-well,
Have you decided whether you want to be
In heaven or in hell?
Are you ready, are you ready?
Have you got some unfinished business?
Is there something holding you back?
Are you thinking for yourself
Or are you following the pack?
Are you ready, hope youre ready.
Are you ready?
Are you ready for the judgment?
Are you ready for that terrible swift sword?
Are you ready for armageddon?
Are you ready for the day of the lord?
Are you ready, I hope youre ready.

Hello
(toby keith/jim femino)
I was hangin out in mexico, I had a beachfront bungalow
I know I should have gone home, but I was doin that caribbean thing
I was listenin to a spanish guitar, drinkin margaritas under the stars
With a pretty senorita when the telephone started to ring, guess who
Hello, honey, I was just about to
Hello, baby, I was gettin ready
Hello, I know I should have called sooner, oh, no, no
Hello, if you give me just a minute
Hello, dont you hang up till Im finished
Hello, youre the only one Ive ever, you know
Hello
Well, there was silence at the end of the line
I thought Id give her till a quarter of nine
I forgot to call her back and the party was a-rollin at ten
See, I was workin on tequila and lime
I guess I never even noticed the time
I was dancin the iguana when the phone started ringin again
And you know who
Hello, honey, I was just about to
Hello, baby, I was gettin ready
Hello, I know I should have called sooner, oh, no, no
Hello, if you give me just a minute
Hello, dont you hang up till Im finished
Hello, youre the only one Ive ever, you know
Hello
Hello, honey, I was just about to
Hello, baby, I was gettin ready
Hello, I know I should have called sooner, oh, no, no
Hello, if you give me just a minute
Hello, dont you hang up till Im finished
Hello, youre the only one Ive ever, you know
Hello
Hello, hello
Hello, honey, I was just about to
Hello, baby, I was gettin ready
Hello, dont you hang up till Im finished
Hello

The Story Of My Life
I finished the story of my life
About three a m last night
Its the best thing Ive ever read
And though the start seemed to drag
You know the middle really wasnt bad
And the end turned out okay
If I had to edit anything
I might reign those chapters in
I spent miserable and afraid
But you know I love the book as a whole
I wouldnt mess around with its soul
Pull a thread and it might come undone
