By And By (#4)
Well children by and by when the morning comes
All the saints of God together they come
We will tell the story how the Lord will come
And we'll understand him better by and by
Trials dark on every hand and we cannot understand
All the ways God will lead us
To the blessed promised land
He will guide us with his eye
And we'll follow till we die
And we'll understand him better by and by
Well children by and by when the morning comes
All the saints of God together they come
We will tell the story how the Lord will come
And we'll understand him better by and by
Temptation's hidden snares often take the sun away
And our hearts are made to bleed
For some thoughtless word or deed
And we wonder why the test when we try to do our best
But we'll understand it better by and by
Well children by and by when the morning comes
All the saints of God together they come
We will tell the story how the Lord will come

I Understand
I understand your problem
I understand the reason for your tears
I understand what you went through
don't cry because i'm here
I'm here to catch you when you are falling
I'm here to wipe your tears
Be strong
don't let you mistakes lead you
stand and fight for yourself
don't let go
hold on still
i understand how it hurt
i understand how it feels like
get back on your feet
when stumble and fall
i understand
i understand
oh i understand your pain
i understand you went through a lot in life
but remember
be strong, and never give up
I understand

Never Will You Ever Understand It
Never will you understand it.
Why things in my heart wont leave.
You will never understand it.
Never will you ever understand it.
Never will you understand it.
Why I express little empathy.
You will never understand it.
Never will you ever understand it.
My mind has grown too agitated and annoyed.
My emotions tied in knots,
Have long dropped as my topic.
I have a peace within,
I'm hoping will never end.
Or come to the point,
I must defend.
Oh...
You will never understand it.
Never will you ever understand it.

They'll Never Understand
They'll never understand why their laughter makes me cry.
They'll never understand that what they call truth I know it to be a lie.
They'll never understand as much as they hate me I love them just as much.
They'll understand why on them I'll never give up.
They'll never understand why I don't blame them for their views.
They'll never understand why I do what I do.
I do it because that is who I am.
But they'll never understand.

Understan me please
Please understand me.
You are one of the closest people to me in a way.
But for some reason you don't understand me.
It's almost as if you don't want to understand.
I'm just a target to shout at.
Just an idiot you don't really want to understand.
But I am your blood.
Why can't you at least try to understand?
It's not as if I enjoy attempting suicide all the time.
I don't care what you say it's not always my fualt.
The diagnosis I was given, you won't even take in to account.
I try to explain but you don't listen.
All you say is you know what you are doing.
Stop it you say, yeah becuase it's really that easy not.
I'm not getting any enjoyment out of this you know?
But I wish you wouldn't shout and curse.
You say you love me.
But how can you when you won't try to understand?
Please, please understand me

Hurricane
It came on like a hurricane
And I don't understand
And it moved me
Like a slow dance
Still I don't understand
It pushed me like a tailwind
And I don't understand
And it came in
Through the back door
And I don't understand
Still I don't understand
You're all that I could need
And I'm falling on my knees
Hurricane
You pulled me out of the past
And landed me in today
Hurricane
You pulled me out of the past
And walked me into tomorrow
Hurricane
It picked me like a cherry
And I don't understand
And it killed me with the craving
Still I don't understand
It thrilled me to starvation
And I don't understand
And it stripped me ugly naked
And I don't understand
Still I don't understand
You're all that I could be
And I'm falling on my knees

Delivered By Letter
Would you understand this any better,
If you saw it poured from a labelled can.
To open slowly to reveal,
A preparation made easier...
That to you would appeal,
On demand as you command.
Would you understand this any better,
If work involved did not exist.
With no effort at all or commitment permitted.
And very little time put into it.
Allowing you to sit...
As your imagination drifted.
Would you understand this any better,
If blood, sweat and tears...
Were not heard from a voice admitted.
To then immediately decrease your interest.
Would you understand this any better,
If all explanations to you were delivered by letter.
And all you had to do was to connect large dots.
Would you then understand this any better...
To attempt to do or choose not.

Let Us Pray
(words & music by b. kaye - b. weisman)
Come praise the lord for he is good
Mmm come join in love and brotherhood
Well hear the word and bring our gifts of bread and wine
And well be blessed beneath the sign
So let us pray together, pray together
Pray with the one mighty voice (heavenly voice)
And let us sing together, sing together
Pray and well rejoice (well rejoice)
When strangers reach out for your hand (for your hand)
Respond to them and understand (heaven obeyed to understand)
Well rise as one to calm the storm outside the gate (calm the storm)
With faith in him well never leave (never leave)
So let us pray together, pray together
Pray with the one mighty voice (heavenly voice)
And let us sing together, sing together
Pray and well rejoice (well rejoice)
(well rejoice)
The love of God is on our side (love is, love is on our side)
We have the strength to move the tide (well move the tide)
The world will say so, therell be peace and love for all (love for all)
And we must give our brothers love
So let us pray together, pray together
Pray with the one mighty voice (heavenly voice)
And let us sing together, sing together
Pray and well rejoice (well rejoice)
Love for all, love for all to the lord
Well rejoice love for all to the lord
Well rejoice love for all to the lord
Well rejoice for the lord

Burden Of Freedom
I stand on the stairway
My back to the dungeon
The doorway to freedom
So close to my hand
And voices behind me
So bitterly damn me
For seeking salvation
They dont understand
Chorus:
Lord, help me to shoulder
The burden of freedom
And give me the courage
To be what I can
And when I am wounded
By those who condemn me
Lord, help me forgive them
They dont understand
Their lonely frustration
Descending to laughter
Erases the footprints
I leave in the sand
But Im free to travel
Where no one can follow
In search of the kingdom
They dont understand
Chorus:
Lord, help me to shoulder
The burden of freedom
And give me the courage
To be what I can
And when I have wounded
The last one who loved me
Lord, help her forgive me
I dont understand.

We Understand Each Other
We understand each other
Bull!
You hear some distant drummer play
I think we understand each other
Have you no else to offer?
Poor boy!
I have expenses to defray
I hope we understand each other
We have a problem
Yes, but its not that we
Dont understand each other
Oh brother!
When they say understand
They gotta mean fairyland
For twenty tons of silver
She sold him into stir
And when it gets his freedom back
He throws it away over her
When he says understand
He must mean some other girl
Ill never comprehend
My putrid taste in men
Its not fair I love
Each little hair and he
Dont even care about me
When she says understand
Must mean some other man
Our preconceptions to retain
Were obliged to exclaim
We understand each other
We hear some distant drummer play
Must mean we understand each other
Oh brother!
If theres a problem
Well admit it
Not that we dont understand each other
Each other
When they say understand
Its like wendy and peter pan
Have you ever met somebody
More self-involved than he?
This has got to be a miracle
The man has divine empathy
What could be wrong with me?
I know his repartee
Insincere
Hes down
There, Im up here
But whenever hes near
Its some kind of divine empathy
When they say understand
Smells like something else to me
Were talking sleight of hand
Each others mind
We read so well
We have no time to know ourselves
We understand each other
Though we dont even know ourselves
We think we understand each other
Though we dont even know ourselves
We think we understand each other
Though we dont know ourselves
I hope we understand each other
Each other

A Sunday Prayer 07
Dear Lord there is so many questions
that plague our mind each day.
We hear of wars fought constantly,
each side declare God is with them.
Oh Lord, how can this be?
Who is right and who is wrong?
Pray help me understand.
A blind man when told
he could have his sight returned.
He refused to have it back,
saying he did not want to see,
the deprivation of man to his fellow man.
Oh, Lord surely there has to be explanation.
I pray to you to help me understand.
If there is to be hope for the human race,
we must understand each person’s problems;
never turn our back to those in need.
So Lord I ask you today,
grant us with your eternal wisdom,
so that we may understand and help,
all of our fellow man,
through their indignation and sorrow
that so many face everyday.
Send your fateful lightning
to guide us on our way.
We need your wisdom and guidance
to help us each day through.
Oh Lord, as you hear this prayer,
grant it for us so we can show,
others the road to heaven and happiness,
And lead them into the safety of your open arms.
Oh Lord, grant us also the wisdom
of the answers to the questions
that constantly torment our mortal mind.

The soul in me is really hers
I do not know how to make my eyes, which
Move impatiently around
To have a glance of her,
Understand
That she herself is my vision
I do not know how to make my ears, which
Long for hearing
The sweet voice of hers,
Understand
That she keeps singing inside me
I do not know how to make my heart, which
Throbs for an
Intimate togetherness with her,
Understand
That each of its pulse is triggered by her thought
I do not know how to make my hands, which
Are gnawingly desirous
Of caressing her
Understand
That I am yet to recover from the
Scintillation of her previous touch
I do not know how to make my lips, which
Restlessly bother me
With their thirst for a passionate kiss of hers
Understand
That I still hold on to
The taste of the previous experience
I do not know how to make my olfactory nerves, which
Consistently seek to get
The smell of hers
Understand
That the entire air
Is laden with the scent of her fragrance
I do not know how to make the soul inside me, which
In solitude
Cries for a heartful union with her
Understand
That the soul in me is really hers

Voice In The Crowd
(DickKellyMosleyRotheryTrewavas)
[The music for this song later became "After Me"]
There's something I have to tell you
Before it's too late
There's someone needs a timing
I could be the same
Got to listen to you clearly
Would you understand it all
Would you hold it all together
Do we run up in the bar
Everyone needs someone to listen to
If you don't want to shine on
Could you know it all
And if someone lay before you know it could be true
A voice in the crowd
You came upon an ...
Just an alibi
Did you have to go do it
To feel you want to try
If you'd only see the reason ...
Someone came, someone rose, someone left
I don't know if you could be sure
You don't understand
And if the days were good
You never know the way we planned
And if the time is there ...
A voice in the crowd
A voice in the crowd
