I think innocence is something that adults project upon children that's not really there.

If Children Ruled The World
If Children Ruled The World,
Parents, Adults and Teachers will go to bed at 8: 00
and wake up at 7: 00 to dress up for school.
At school children will treat them like nothing,
and Parents, Adults and Teachers will have nothing to do or say.
In the morning at school, they would have to line up like chrildrens used to do like every single mornings.
If Children Ruled The World,
Lollies will be for everyone even adults and parents.
Parents and Adults will have such awful rotten teeth just like all children used to have in their teeths.
Every mornings right after adults brushes their teeths or hairs, the children would have to check if their hairs and teeths are alright.
In School Trips children goes for free but the adults has to always pay.
If Children Ruled The World,
the world wou; d be treated badly.
The children would be rich and adults would be poor and always ask for children for some money.
There will be no clean water,
No food for the adults to eat except lollies.
If Children Ruled The World,
WE'LL ALL BE IN A JAM!

Sonnet: Adults
Adults are selfish beings of the earth;
Adults don’t forgive/ forget tho’ mature;
Adults are creatures adamant by birth;
Adults are jealous beings, by nature.
Adults have arguing tongues till the end;
Adults misunderstand others with ease;
Adults can neither condescend nor bend;
Adults cannot adjust with/others please.
Adults are sinful in thought, word and deed
Adults are the ones, misguiding the youth;
Adults are beings revengeful indeed;
Adults can speak effortlessly untruth.
Adults advise but remember old fights;
Adults cannot give up their insane rights!

The Great Gift Of Youth
The great gift of youth is a thing to enjoy
And the crimes of the man are not the crimes of the boy
That all children are innocent to all children apply
And why we lose our innocence don't ask me why?
That time changes us as people does seem sad to say
We lose our youthful innocence as we grow old and gray
And some even become more hardened with the passing of time
Lose respect for self and others and turn to crime.
Any crime against children cannot be seen as small
And the abuse of a child one of the greatest crimes of all
Any crime against a child a hard crime to forgive
Those who commit such crimes with their sins have to live.
It's praises the singers and Songwriters sing
For the great gift of youth is a marvellous thing
And sad to say some children at a young age have innocence stole
From them by damaged adults who lack in self control.

Be An Example!
Banks of rivers and ponds have screw pines,
that has the flower, so fragrant and divine,
the smell invites from the distant, but the cobras guard,
Guards are distracted for the blooms to be extracted.
The elongated leaf like petals are folded,
To keep on the plaited hair of the young damsels,
When the season for blooming arrives,
Our girls are fragrant with screw pines flowers.
We play under the sun all day long,
Oiled hair friends of us at our side, tag along,
We run around the village paths and tunnels,
Sprint after the calves and kids that are innocent.
Innocence of us preserved, nothing to contaminate,
Additives and preservatives not added, to manipulate,
Removing the innocence from our children is a crime,
When adults are disoriented, how to sublime?
Disinfectants to keep the place germ free,
Innocence to keep the heart hurt free,
Let them know about it when the time comes,
Until then let the adults be the examples to them.

Oh Say. Can you see? for Friend Thad
Oh say can you see
At night, when I should be sleeping.
From my window slyly peeping
I can see the fairies dance.
I’m not afraid to take a chance
that the fairies might see me.
Because I know they are friendly.
They have no reason to fear me.
They do not mind that I can see.
Why should they mind they know quite well
there is nobody I can tell
Who would believe that I had seen
the fairies dancing on the green.
I know that grownups cannot see
what children see so easily
Though adults do not seem to mind
they do not know that they are blind.
Their childish innocence once lost
can’t be replaced at any cost.
So they dismiss as fantasy
the fairies they no longer see.
But in their blindness they insist
that fairy folk do not exist
All children in their wisdom know.
Grown ups are wrong it isn’t so.
Most adults are convinced they’re right
but some few have retained their sight.
They see the world as children see,
Accepting as reality.
the evidence of their own eyes
and you will too if you are wise.

Part of our responsibility as parents, as adults, is to set examples for children. But we have to like children in order to be really happy fulfilled adults.

Above all, though, children are linked to adults by the simple fact that they are in process of turning into them. For this they may be forgiven much. Children are bound to be inferior to adults, or there is no incentive to grow up.

With A Caring Less Of Their Obviousness
Not having an ability to face truth,
When the practice of hiding behind excuses...
Has become as stale as denials still used,
Makes the mistakes made by innocent children...
More comforting to witness,
Than the fools adults make of themselves.
Especially the ones attempting to implement,
The same innocence.
And since children haven't lived that long,
To be labelled with a title of ignorant.
There are many who have reached adulthood...
That seem to be proud to be entitled as such,
With a caring less of their obviousness.
To earn to get no respect.
Even from their own children.

Pray To God In Heart's Need
do you teach your children to pray?
children taught to pray often pray by rote?
rote prayer often lacks heart motivation
children who pray to God in heart's need
pray with integrity love sincerity expectations
such children remember to turn to God in need
why do so many adults have difficulty
in praying to God during testing times of need?
why do so many adults not know how to pray?

SONNET: But things suit me?
There is a smile on the lips of children;
There is a look of innocence, always;
They seem to forget and to forgive when,
Adults display a wretched, gloomy face!
Oh, how they play about and love their play!
Oh, how they long for love and words of praise!
Oh, how they dream of presents from a fay!
And how they fall asleep or cry always!
But, does this world not ill-treat children?
Do children have their freedom, entitled?
Are elders kind, giving them tender touch?
Many a time, their hearts seem anguish-filled!
How can this world deny children their needs?
What kind of trees develop from ill-formed seeds?

Clean: Competition, Repetition
To all the children that cry and scream
‘This room is just too sparkly clean! '
To all the adults that moan about the mess
I believe that you all have something to confess
These books and toys are placed upon the floor
To convince the siblings that they have more
Your ornaments are shiny new and clean
Because you have no feathers to show nor preen
Deep down in your minds you all know
The reasons these actions are repeated so
To the children this is a play, a fun little game
And to the adults? Well I must say it's the same
So the next time you walk into the ‘danger site'
Dear parents you know what they try to do, right?
And to you children who think ‘why are they so mean! '
You should know that's the way it has always been

The difference between adults and children is that adults don't ask questions.
A God Within In Every Child
Apart from Nature there is a God known as the God Within
Found in every child in every Land for children are free of sin
A God within in every child or so 'twould seem that way
But most adults lose their God within though to another God they do pray
All children born with their God Within and sad am I to say
That as we age our God Within from some of us tend to stray
Forced to leave us by the Ego by it crowded out of our mind's space
For the kind and compassionate Inner God in our being there is no place,
A God Within in every child that's how 'twould seem to me
Though with that sort of thinking there are many who would choose to disagree
Of a God Within they will tell you there is no such a thing
Of the praises of their God Up There they only wish to sing
Most of us do lose our Inner God to too much love of self and greed
And the innocence of children is a Godlike thing indeed.

Preview for New Friend Amy
I had an imaginary friend.
Although she seemed quite real to me.
Someone on whom I could depend
always and absolutely.
As I grew up and made real friends
She faded out quite gradually
I must suppose as childhood ends
so does our youthful fantasy
I kept her picture in mind.
Albeit quite unconsciously
When in due course I tried to find
the ideal girl to marry me.
I found my child hood friend again.
No longer imaginary,
and I began to wonder then
if she too had imagined me.
Perhaps we were allowed to see
When in our childish innocence
what in the future was to be.
It seemed to us to make good sense.
We wed and raised a family
I still love her and she loves me.
We live together happily.
And on this subject we agree.
It was intended we should wed
as we would do eventually.
We were allowed to see ahead
as children do with clarity.
Before they’re taught it cannot be
by adults who have forgotten how
very clearly younger children see.
Because they only see the now..
The future is a mystery
that adults cannot penetrate.
Though children can quite easily
Perceive what is to be their future fate.
At least we two believe it’s true
Though other folk may disagree
What you believe is up to you
We may be wrong quite possibly.
