As a kid, before I could play music, I remember baseball being the one thing that could always make me happy.

What Can Make You Happy?
Are you happy right now or sad?
Are you bitter about your present condition?
You wonder what is wrong with your life
You wonder why others are happy
And question why some are so sad
Are happy people born that way?
Or happiness is a state of mind
What can make you happy?
Will having more money make you happy?
How much money do you need to make you happy?
If you are single and not happy!
Will having a new lover make you happy?
Will getting married make you happy?
If you are married, and not happy!
Will having more children make you happy?
Will sleeping with other people make you happy?
If you are a professional and not happy!
Will changing your profession make you happy?
What can make you happy?
Will getting drunk everyday make you happy?
Will taking a new drug make you happy?
Will buying a new car make you happy?
What can make you happy?
Will moving to a bigger house make you happy?
Will been promoted at work make you happy?
Will been the head of your organization
Make you happy
What can make you happy?
Always remember that what makes
You happy can make the others sad

Mountain Music
Words and music by randy owen
Chorus:
Oh, play me some mountain music, like grandma and grandpa used to play.
Then Ill float on down the river to a cajun hideaway
Drift away like tom sawyer, ride a raft with ol huck finn.
Take a nap like rip van winkle, daze dreamin again.
Chorus
Swim across the river, just to prove that Im a man.
Spend the day bein lazy, just bein natures friend.
Climb a long tall hickry. bend it over, skinnin cats.
Playin baseball with chert rocks, usin sawmill slabs for bats.
Bridge:
Play some back-home, come-on music that comes from the heart.
Play something with lots of feelin, cause thats where music has to start
Oh, play me some mountain music, like grandma and grandpa used to play.
Then Ill float on down the river to a cajun hideaway, hey hey.

You can't get real happy or real depressed when you play baseball. Baseball is a great sport in that it offers a player a lot of opportunities for atonement.

Let It All Be Music
Music is a mirror
Near around my soul
Music is the spirit
Come on let it roll
Music is my nature
People have you heard
Music is my future
Music is the world
Let it all be music
People sing a song
Let it all be music
Let us sing it on and on and on and on
Lets play the music
My kind of music
Lets play the music
Play it on
Lets play the music
My kind of music
Lets play the music
Play it on and on and on
Music isnt somewhere
Music turns you right
Music is a fever
Leads you day and night
Music is like heaven
Where you wanna be
Music is religion
Music sets you free
Let it all be music
People sing a song
Let it all be music
Let us sing it on and on and on and on
Lets play the music
My kind of music
Lets play the music
Play it on
Lets play the music
My kind of music
Lets play the music
Play it on and on and on
Music is tomorrow
Music is today
Music is forever
Music is the way
Music is for women
Music is for men
Music is for children
Sing it all again
Let it all be music
People sing a song
Let it all be music
Let us sing it on and on and on and on
Lets play the music
My kind of music
Lets play the music
Play it on
Lets play the music
My kind of music
Lets play the music
Play it on and on and on
I can feel it, in my soul
I can feel it, in my heart
Sweet sweet sweet music
Music
Sweet sweet sweet music
Sweet music
Play it on

Listen To The Music
Listen to the music
Tom johnston
Dont you feel it growin, day by day
People gettin ready for the news
Some are happy, some are sad
Oh, we got to let the music play
What the people need
Is a way to make em smile
It aint so hard to do if you know how
Gotta get a message
Get it on through
Oh now mama, dont you ask me why
Oh, oh, listen to the music
Oh, oh, listen to the music
Oh, oh, listen to the music
All the time
Well I know, you know better
Everything I say
Meet me in the country for a day
Well be happy
And well dance
Oh, were gonna dance our blues away
And if Im feelin good to you
And youre feelin good to me
There aint nothin we cant do or say
Feelin good, feeling fine
Oh, baby, let the music play
Oh, oh, listen to the music
Oh, oh, listen to the music
Oh, oh, listen to the music
All the time
Like a lazy flowing river
Surrounding castles in the sky
And the crowd is growing bigger
Listnin for the happy sounds
And I got to let them fly
Oh, oh, listen to the music
Oh, oh, listen to the music
Oh, oh, listen to the music
All the time

Dance
Oh, my love it makes me sad.
Why did things turn out so bad?
Was it just a dream, everything we did, everything we had?
Baby, give me one more
Dance while the music still goes on
Don't think about tomorrow
Dance and forget our time is gone
Tonight's a night we borrow.
Let's make it a memory, a night of our own
A thing to remember when we're all alone
So dance, it's our way to say goodbye
Yes, all we have to do is
Dance while the music still goes on
This is no time for crying
Dance, don't you hear them play our song
God knows that we've been trying
But we didn't make it 'cause nothing's the same
We just couldn't help it, nobody's to blame
So dance while the music still goes on
And let it be our last goodbye
Yet it seems to make me sad.
Why did things turn out so bad?
Was is just a dream, everything we did, everything we had?
Baby, give me one last
Dance while the music still goes on
Just like the night I met you
Dance and believe me, when you're gone
You know I won't forget you
Our love was a snowbird, it's flying away
You tell me it's over, what more can I say?
So dance while the music still goes on
It's gonna be our last goodbye
Dance while the music still goes on
Don't think about tomorrow
Dance and forget our time is gone
Tonight's a night we borrow.
Let's make it a memory, a night of our own
A thing to remember when we're all alone
So dance while the music still goes on
And let it be our last goodbye
Dance while the music still goes on
This is no time for crying
Dance, don't you hear them play our song
God knows that we've been trying
Dance while the music still goes on
Just like the night I met you
Dance and believe me, when you're gone
You know I won't forget you

American Pie
A long long time ago I can still remember
How that music used to make me smile
And I knew that if I had my chance
I could make those people dance
And maybe they'd be happy for a while
Did you write the book of love
And do you have faith in God above
If the Bible tells you so
Now do you believe in rock 'n roll
And can music save your mortal soul
And can you teach me how to dance real slow
Well

Music not easy to make it
But easy for you just to take it
Music gonna make you sweat
Here we go and get rock and wet
Music gonna make you jumping
Let the rhythm making you pumping
Music every day and night
Makes you happy and stop the fight
In your place
I'm back again to start this race
Music is getting in your feet
Here we go and go with the beat
Music makes you feel so proud
Mr DJ play it loud
Music they only choice
So everybody lets make some noise
Music not easy to make it
But easy for you just to take it
Music gonna make you sweat
Here we go and get rock and wet
Music gonna make you jumping
Let the rhythm making you pumping

Life Lesson
Listen to all
Listen to none
But remember this thing
You are the one who realize
Learn everything
Learn nothing
But remember this thing
You are the one who understand
Go everywhere
Go nowhere
But remember this thing
You are the one who search
Believe the hard one
Believe the easy one
But remember this thing
You are the one who follow
Think the worst
Think the finest
But remember this thing
You are the one who decide
Read what’s written
Read what’s hidden
But remember this thing
You are the one who feel
See the dark
See the light
But remember this thing
You are the one who watch
Dream the ordinary
Dream the impossible
But remember this thing
You are the one who hope
Try the best
Try the rest
But remember this thing
You are the one who fight
Say it straight
Say it carefully
But remember this thing
You are the one who mean it
Love you care
Love you don’t
But remember this thing
You are the one who give
Live the truth
Live the lie
But remember this thing
You are the one who grow
Do what you desire
Do what’s been ordered
But remember this thing
You are the one who responsible
Touch it rough
Touch it smooth
But remember this thing
You are the one who keep

My dear music
Some music...
Make mad...
Some music
Make nice mood...
Some music...
Make happy...
Some music
To do dance...
Some music
Malking a sleep...
Some music
Killing sleep...
Some music
Making angry...
Music... is
Not only music...
Thear is all
But...
Nothing for all...!

Happy
Dont got a pretty girl who loves me alot
Dont got a fast car that looks real hot
Dont got a fine pad or stereo
And I dont do well in the school where I go, go, go, go, go
But Im happy, happy
Im happy though the world is upside down
Im happy that we all made it through another day
When I pick up the phone I still remember what to say
Im happy that my brain still lives inside my head
Most of all I think Im happy
Happy that I aint dead
I read the paper, I saw the news
All those people out there singin the blues
They get excited, why dont they just relax
All we got to do is kick back, back, back
And be happy, happy
Happy though the whole world is ready to blow
Im happy that I made it through another day
When I pick up the phone I still remember what to say
Im happy that my brain still lives inside my head
Most of all I think Im happy
Happy that I aint dead
I know a guy with plenty of loot
Youd never catch him in a two dollar suit
Hes got gold chains, plenty of rings
He told me money, it dont mean a thing, dont mean a thing
If you aint happy, happy
Happy though the whole world is upside down
Be happy that you made it through another day
When you pick up the phone you still remember what to say
Be happy that your brain still lives inside your head
Most of all I think Im happy.....
Im happy
Im happy though the whole thing is ready to blow
Be happy that the sun has rised up again
That somewhere in this world I still got a friend
Be happy that the big one, it hasnt dropped yet
Be happy that you still got something
Something, something to forget
Im happy
(Im happy, so happy)

Come Eat with Me
When you eat, think about a happy thing
Think about a happy moment you’ve been
Don’t think the sad thing
If you don’t want to drink your tears
When you eat, think about a happy thing
Though nobody there accompanies you
Don’t think the bad thing
If you don’t want to choke your feeling
When you eat, think about a happy thing
Taste the delicious food in front of you
Don’t think the hard thing
If you don’t want to weight your heart
When you eat, think about a happy thing
Tell it’s for the power to move another day
Don’t think the apart thing
If you don’t want to waste your life

To Play Some Music
Say everybody
And everyone
Weve been waitin, so very long
To play some music
And have some fun
Bring some happiness to everyone
Well come with us and try and learn
Whats on your mind
Open your ears and eyes and lets see what you can find
Youre not so different, I dont mean to be unkind
Somethings unfolding if you really take the time
So let the sun shine
Its just begun
Youve given all you could to anyone
Well dont you lose it
Dont run away
Its getting stronger, day after day
Youre sittin there, you say youre
Waiting for the show
And what you have, and what you
Hear is what you really want to know
Youve only come here cause heres
Nowhere else to go
Were only sorry, that we have
To end the show.
Play some music
Play some music
Play some music
Play some music
Play some music
Play some music
Play some music
Yeah

Definitions As An Intention To Describe
Definitions as an intention to describe,
Can be so confining to the mind.
Case in point...
Having to 'some' a meaning.
But...
To those probing their observations,
Making little sense to make sensible...
A reason to find a rhyme.
I remember when I heard the term,
'Baseball' used.
And when I went to my first game,
I was not overwhelmed with excitement.
I couldn't get the 'bat' out of my head.
'Why isn't this game called 'Batball'...
Instead of baseball? '
I kept thinking of that.
Without the bat,
There wouldn't be any baseball played.
Unlike basket...ball.
I can understand that.
Foot...ball,
Okay...
I'm sold.
Base...ball?
And all that the bases do,
Is just lay there?
Home...plate?
That's not a home...base?
And the hitting of a 'homerun'...
That's out of the field of play?
Whoever created this game,
Is a genius.
The terms used as they are applied,
Makes absolutely no sense.
I can understand,
Why it's one of the most favorite sports.
Like golf!
When a player hits that ball,
That might endanger onlookers...
A shouting of 'fore' is heard.
Fore...what?
If one is hit...
Be-fore the word is heard,
That's it.
And even after 'fore'...
What difference does it make?
The other day...
I watched a player of 'baseball' lose his bat.
It went flying into the stadium...
To hit someone in the head.
No one warned the 'victim' at all.
No one shouted...
'Watch 'that'.
It's a flying bat.'
Hmmm...
Flying bats?
At a baseball game?
Where the selling of hot...dogs,
And pea...nuts with beer...
Is a tradition.
And someone wishes to keep the writing of poetry,
To restrictions?
By whose definition?
And when does prose not become poetry?

Music Man (The)
hey there mister music man
play your music like you did
last night when i saw you live
on fifth and amsterdam
hey there mister music man
spread your music 'cross the land
i'd follow you from here to there
just like you asked when i was there
but sadly i cant follow through
for my bestfriend is terminal
they say its name is Cancer
hey there mister music man
play your music spread your love,
like you did on 5th and amsterdam
would you come play for my friend
mister music man
play your music play every song you know
play them as you would for all
play them once for a thousand times
we'll put it on live tv
so the whole world can see
hey there mister music man
play your music
spread your love across the land
from here to there
make his last days worthy
as he falls into his dark sleep
hey there mister music man
play your music play your love
spread it far across the land
like the laughter of a baby
in a quiet room
like the laughter of a baby
in a quiet room
like the laughter of a baby
in a quiet room.
