People also don't care about the daily comings and goings of diplomats and yet we must report it.

Those Rivers In My Mind...
what we remember
we must too forget
what comes must in any
moment go
what arrives necessarily
must depart
too, too, these are the goings
and goings and comings and
comings
these are the waters flowing
in the rivers of our minds
these are the banks that never
stay stuffed forever...
ebbing and
overflowing

Every Step Every Memory
i have left everything
and do not really care what happens
every step had been taken
and now
i have no reason to look at every
memory
they're like the wind too
the comings and goings
are getting invisible to
me.

For A Reason Always...
every event happens for a reason
the comings and goings
departures for instance are always
on time and
always reasonable and those who are left
sometimes wonder
only to understand later
comparing what welcome was
and what departure
has become...
soon they may tell you
we have seen the light, we have seen darkness too.

The Viewless And Invisible Consequence
The viewless and invisible Consequence
Watches thy goings-out, and comings-in,
And...hovers o'er thy guilty sleep,
Unveiling every new-born deed, and thoughts
More ghastly than those deeds--

I Have Attained The Eternal Bliss
I have attained the Eternal Bliss.
There is no time for sorrow or pain,
for now I enjoy singing His glory.
The tree of His pleasure has neither root, nor seed,
as revealed by the grace of the true Guru.
Now there is effulgence of a million suns,
my swan has dipped in the lake of His knowledge.
Says Kabir, listen, O wise brother,
Now comings and goings have come to an end.
Ask Me
Some time when the river is ice ask me
mistakes I have made. Ask me whether
what I have done is my life. Others
have come in their slow way into
my thought, and some have tried to help
or to hurt: ask me what difference
their strongest love or hate has made.
I will listen to what you say.
You and I can turn and look
at the silent river and wait. We know
the current is there, hidden; and there
are comings and goings from miles away
that hold the stillness exactly before us.
What the river says, that is what I say.

Report
What is report?
Report is established,
Not demanded.
Seduction to manipulate
Premeditated moves
Will not sit well with someone else
You wish to impress
With what you offer that's approved.
One seeking report
Leaves these aggressions at the door.
If not one will find rejection...
Without another reception.
And having report,
Is what one should never first ignore!
'You mean 'ree'pour? '
Report is like giving a grade.'
And 'ree'pour is like giving what?
'Having class! '
Well,
What do you get in a 'class'?
'A report! '
Let's see...
If you report to class with 'ree'pour',
You'll get a good grade!

Coming Of Happy Tomorrows
COMING OF HAPPY TOMORRWS
Dark clouds decorated by silver lining
Floating across gray skies promising
For all those struggling in shadows
About the coming of happy tomorrows
Colors of the splayed sunlight
In the pouring rain shining bright
For all those wondering at the rainbow
About the comings of happy tomorrows
Barks of the bare oak tree
Showing signs of spirit in free
In the wings of flying sparrows
About the comings of happy tomorrows
Smiles of the blooming flowers of spring
Stirring up emotions making bees sing
For all those hiding in burrows
About the comings of happy tomorrows
Gurgles of the streams in flow
Keeping its ripples as wind blows
Calling out for those in bellows
About the comings of happy tomorrows
Glow of sparks underneath the ashes
Shining like stars making a wish
For those deep in the wallow
About the comings of happy tomorrows

So
So, what's it gonna' be...
I waited patiently, stubby pencil in hand.
'...chicken or fish? '
She was planning a dinner party, the magnificent woman-
'Um...um...why not both? Oh, and we need some candles...put those down.'
'ok...both, ' I wrote, 'chicken and fish. Who are these people you're inviting?
'Just a bunch of diplomats. Oh, and flowers, but I'll get those.'
'Diplomats? What kind? ' I inquired, idly.
'I don't know, yet. Whatever's not on sale. But there's only one kind of diplomat. You'd best be going. They'll be here in six hours.'
I rose to go.
'And the salad? ' I remembered.
'What about it? , she asked, tying on an apron.
'What kind? '
'Mista.'
'Yes, sir, ' I saluted, and left.

What Do You Care
(robert palmer)
Youre such a rebel now can you remember when
They used to think you knew what added up to ten
Youre sick and tired of taking punches to your side
Now youre gonna add it up to any number that you like
(tell me) what do you care
bout what other people think
What do you care
What do you care
bout what other people think
What do you care
You thought thered always be another shot to take
You crave attention now with every move you make
You like to advertise your interest in success
But you dont know on the score of who youre trying to impress
(tell me) what do you care
bout what other people think
What do you care
What do you care
bout what other people think
What do you care
Baby yeah yeah
Everybodys gonna have their say
You cant please everyone
Why delay what you say
Lets decide to name the day
What do you care
bout what other people think
What do you care
What do you care
bout what other people think
What do you care
No matter what you need Ill never be your fool
Do me a favour and Ill do the same for you
Go ahead do what you have to do
Dont worry if you should do it
Tell me you love me now
Oh girl I wish you would do it
What do you care
bout what other people think
What do you care
What do you care
bout what other people think
What do you care
What do you care
bout what other people think
What do you care
What do you care
bout what other people think
What do you care
Baby, yeah yeah
What do you care
bout what other people think
What do you care
What do you care

You And Me(song)
i dont care what people think about me
i dont care what people say about me
i dont care about anything around me
all i care about is you
the thought of being with you makes me happy
your voice makes me tingle all inside
your name gives me this feeling i cant explain
i love you and those are the only words that explain how i feel about you
i dont care what people think about me
i dont care what people say about me
i dont care about anything around me
all i care about is you
you and me thats how were ment to be
you and me thats all we'll ever be
both of us together as one forever
i dont care what people think about me
i dont care what people say about me
i dont care about anything around me
all i care about is you
you give me feelings i cant explain
you make me feel like i never felt befor
i cant seem to get you out of my head
i dont care what people think about me
i dont care what people say about me
i dont care about anything around me
all i care about is you
i dont care, i dont care
all i care about is you

Love Thee Thou-est The Enjoyment Of The Basics
I am not surprised at all to hear,
That those who tricked, deceived and lied
Now cry a dropping of false crocodile tears.
I don't pretend I care for them.
Those who faked a loyalty,
To see who they could leave behind.
As the dust kicked up with a blowing of wind.
I am not surprised,
From a rise these people begin to fall.
Nor do I hold inside their slide to the ground,
Pleases me.
It doesn't.
I've learned too many lessons,
About the ups and downs.
And the goings and the comings around of things.
I send no evil to hear it speaking back to me.
However...
I am feeling relieved and blessed I do not owe,
For pretentions that keep me indebted.
To an extravagant lifestyle credited,
As I cry my eyes out in a home that has a ballooning mortgage.
With a paying out of funds and overdue fees,
On property that has been devalued.
To make fleas a priceless commodity.
And on top of that.
The taxes paid to live like that are much too high.
To leave me weeping for the rest of my life?
You see these beans and this can opener?
And the smile I have on my face is not faked.
Lesson 101.
Love Thee Thou-est The Enjoyment Of The Basics
And you asked me if their slide to the ground pleases me?
Are you kidding?
No traps like that have I ever envied at all.

Who will care for the people?
Who will care for the people; lost, confused and can’t find their home
Who will care for the people; raped, striped and left without anything of their own
Who will care for the people; who once had land, cattle and a harvest to reap?
Who will care for the people; who now possess despair and fear that denies them sleep?
Who will care for the people; that served only kindness but were fed a platter of pain?
Who will care for the people; who have been inflicted with cruelty again and again?
Who will care for the people; who for generations were treated unfairly?
Who will care for the people; that are the reflection of me?
They maybe many but I will mention the one that is familiar
This can be none other than the honourable Mr. Hamilton Ratshefola

Busted Motor
Going on and on about the goings on,
Around town...
Seems profoundly self indulgent.
And has gotta go!
Like an auto towed.
You know...
There has to be another mode,
For you to show...
You've grown beyond your offensiveness.
that has stooped to a level,
So very low.
How about a refreshing reset on your life?
Without your bookkeeping needs,
You perform creep peeps on people secretly.
Who cares who is cheating on their husbands,
Girlfriends, lovers and/or wives.
Some people do learn from birth...
They can live on their own merit.
Witrhou that spying done you've inherited.
Going on and on about the goings on,
Around town...
Seems profoundly self indulgent.
And has gotta go!
Like an auto towed.
That has been overloaded by a busted motor!

I see something wrong
Some people care about,
you.
Some people don't care
Would people listen to,
our lies?
Why are people abused
I see something wrong
There are pretty people
There ugly people
People play
People talk
I'm tired of people messing,
With me.
I guess people hate the truth
Some people are bad
Some people care
Others don't
Why do people cry?
This is life
I don't understand
Some people like to talk
Some people like to walk
Why people argue over nothing?
People act crazy
Why are people always cheating?
People that are lost
I admire people that have respect,
for others.
We are the people of the earth
What really goin on?
I really don't know

Whole Lifetimes
we travel whole lifetimes
through the mud and the mire;
struggling, fighting, loving,
dreaming, believing against all doubt...
to find our brothers and sisters
lost in the passings,
in the comings and goings,
of birth and death...
to find the face of our mother,
in lands foreign and strange.
to do the work of our father
in the ruins of our shame...
to know each other,
the scents familiar;
and hear the sound of our own hearts
beating in another's return!
we travel whole lifetimes,
on this journey together!
for Dave, Terence, Smoky, Patti,
Valerie, Juan, Robert, Veeraiyah,
Romeo, Rajendran, and all the other
poets who tend this fire..

Fidelity....
When love is gone
as it usually happens, when the house
empties itself
throws away all the furniture and beds
and sets aside
cups of coffee and
chocolate cookies,
When everything becomes a question,
we are no longer interested
in some answers,
We go on doing that things
we do
like ants on a trail
like birds building nests and depositing eggs
and hatching them
on pure instincts,
We do simply because we have to do
them,
we go on, and on and on,
nothing leaps from our chests,
the heart still beats but not for the joys of love
but only for
stability, somehow, the house is still this house,
let the home go berserk somewhere
we still keep the beams strong
and the stairs serviceable
for our comings and goings
We choose no departures
We pledge to stay: for bitter or worse
even death
till the next life, we must comply.

Our Common Fate
i shall pretend that no one is deceived
myself included,
for what is my reason for being here?
you know it
it is not you, but the rest of those who cannot speak
about their sorrows
you deceive us, we shall not measure time for how long
we shall not whisper about the harshness of your winters
we have our own droughts to paint
and we are painting it so well so the world can see and perhaps
soon
shall reflect upon it that...
we who are innocent about our comings and goings
we who are blinded by the moments
do not deserve all these
i do not listen to your laughter
my ears are never made for you
i shall not feel you
my hands are made for more than what
your kind of materialistic stuff
can hold or contain
you shall continue deceiving us until you shall learn from us
and when you stop
we shall shall move on with our journey
until you join us
sailing in the rivers of our own sorrows
for we are made of grief, for we are all but sorrows ourselves
soon,
perhaps, we shall be one in all these
always deceived always persistent always patient
always longing
for that moment
always a common fate.
