As A Matter Of Fact
Written by s. garrett & d. boyette
Blow daddy, aww, yeah
Here we are, standing at the hard line
We made it last this long
The two of us, together since the first time
And I believe our love is still strong
Seems love has a funny way
Well, it can come or go or it can choose to stay
But love says what it has to say
(chorus)
Matter of fact (ooh, as a matter of fact)
I love you (oh, as a matter of fact)
And I love that you love me back
As a matter of fact (ooh, as a matter, a matter)
Some said we wouldnt make it this far
But they dont talk no more (no more)
The love we share is precious as a big star
And what we haves what others hope for
Seems love has a funny way
Well, it can come or go or it can choose to stay
But love says what it has to say
(chorus)
Matter of fact (ooh, as a matter of fact)
I need you (oh, as a matter of fact)
And Im glad that you need me back
As a matter of fact (ooh, as a matter, a matter)
Mm, matter of fact, yeah (ooh as a matter of fact)
I want you (yeah, as a matter of fact)
And I cant tell you more than that
As a matter of fact, (ooh, as a matter) yeah (matter)
Aww, blow, daddy
Musical interlude
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Seems love has a funny way
Well, it can come and go or it can choose to stay
But love says what it has to say
(repeat chorus)
Matter of fact (ooh, as a matter of fact)
I love you (oh, as a matter of fact)
Yeah and I love that you love me back
As a matter of fact (ooh, as a matter of fact)
Ooh, ooh, baby
Matter of fact (ooh, as a matter of fact)
I need you (yeah, as a matter of fact)
And Im glad that you need me right back
As a matter of fact
(ooh, as a matter) yeah (a matter)

Vulgar Before Me
To you. seperation, only to put it down.
To you. desperation, only to be around.
So on and so under, misdirected in other words.
Always I wonder is there anything I can do for you?
Anything I can do? well I can do anything...
To some, Ive been singled out, always I take your fall.
To some, same and broken down,
All weve left is dropping around you.
And you know these lines theyre open ended.
These books were meant to be followed,
And your rules left to be read...
Is there anything I can do?
I can do anything. i can do anything,
Its vulgar before me...
Is there anything I can do?
I can do anything. I can do anything.
Its vulgar before me, vulgar before me...
Vulgar before me, vulgar before me.
Vulgar, vulgar before me.
Anything I can do?
I can do anything. I can do anything.
Vulgar before me, vulgar before me...

Solid, Ironical, Rolling Orb
SOLID, ironical, rolling orb!
Master of all, and matter of fact!--at last I accept your terms;
Bringing to practical, vulgar tests, of all my ideal dreams,
And of me, as lover and hero.

But the fact of the matter is that all scientific evidence would show, based upon what we know about this disease, that muscle cuts - that is, the meat of the animal itself - should not cause any risk to human health.

Television is not vulgar because people are vulgar; it is vulgar because people are similar in their prurient interests and sharply differentiated in their civilized concerns.

A system of morality which is based on relative emotional values is a mere illusion, a thoroughly vulgar conception which has nothing sound in it and nothing true.
Who Else Other Than Me Know What I Am Thinking
I think mainly based
On my impressions on
The happenings around
Likely and very much likely
None other's impression
Will be similar
Hence, none other thinks
The way I think about an event
My level of understanding or otherwise
My level of value additing or otherwise
My level of experience to an earlier similar event
Are unique to me
And no one can make out
The thoughts processed in me
Based on these
I know some evolved people appreciate
The uniqueness of one thought
And make no attempt to judge on that
Some, however, claim foolishly
That they know who is thinking what
Please appreciate the fact
Who else other than me know what I am thinking
Understand this please
Accept this fact and
Accommodate me, even if found foolish

It Really Doesn't Matter
You say your ugly, i say it doesn't matter.
You say you have a dark past,
i say it doesn't matter.
You say theirs overwhelming responsibility,
i say it doesn't matter.
I don't believe in walking away when things get hard.
In fact they are my spark to continue my march.
Through thick and thin where to begin.
You say you don't have a way.
I say it doesn't matter.
You say that you cant give back what you would like.
I say it doesn't matter.
You say, you say oh it really doesn't matter,
I live one day at a time.
Choices will be made that will save the day
but hurt me financially.
It doesn't matter Choice will be made
that will set me back in my expectations.
It doesn't matter,
It really doesn't matter.
Its well worth it.
To see the beauty that
you have placed before me.
Oh how its worth it.
To settle down and not be looking to be found.

Quatrain #242 - The truth, the whole truth and.........
The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth is what the law demands
but then the law is based upon the truth by which is issued its own commands.
The truth is based upon Reality where there can't be any idea of falsehood,
Reality is in fact the Absolute or Supreme Being that is really all Godhood.

To Do It Standing Tall
I've been a grown man since I was a child.
With chores, duties and responsibilities assigned,
I had to accomplish and achieve.
And I don't 'believe' this to be true.
It's a matter of fact I have lived through.
To witness adults,
Who are not grown men and/or women.
Bartering their accountability...
To escape what it takes,
To move forward without excuses...
Based upon their abilities.
Displeases my sensibilities.
Although others may find this common.
I have no patience with that at all.
I know too well what it is like...
To stand up,
And face any consequence.
And to do it standing tall.

Bus
On a vulgar city bus
eyes meet and when they do
they part abruptly,
cautious and distrustful -
not fear -
but privacy and pride
and some indifference.
On a vulgar city bus
fifty pairs of eyes
look but rarely see
how the world beyond the window pane
is so like the film of their lives unwinding
as they watch mesmerized
by the blur of green and blue.
On a vulgar city bus
celebrating the ordinary
and the commonplace
is not as easy as you'd think
because
it's easier to look than see.

The Fact Is, In The World Of Lies, Life Is Fair
accept the fact that sometimes we say things
that we do not mean, that sometimes we burst in anger
and we hurt and then we apologize that we do not really mean to hurt
sometimes we show feelings too that we do not really want to express.
sometime we say 'i love you' and yet we are just compelled to do so
someone is dying and he needs you badly at the end of her day.
sometimes, accept the fact, that time strains us and we become
the liars, the hypocrites, the fraud, and the swindler.
and most of all, we keep it for a time, making some stares straight in the eye.
accept this fact, we are humans and in some harsh times
we decide, to survive, at all costs, no matter what.
now, we shall talk, and you shall listen and i shall write about the truth
of this fact. we are us conjoined twins in the art of deception.
lie to me as i lie to you and then we accept this fact: life is fair.

An Organism
I am a heap of organic matter,
I am a piece of carbon-based crap,
And one day I'll die, and my ashes will scatter,
Throughout this whole limitless map!
So what does it matter what happens to me?
My life is a blip on the screen of Time,
A flash in the pan of Eternity,
A cell in the syrupy slime...

An Ending
a civilized man
no matter how eloquent
and sociable
no matter how
engulfing his mind
is
no matter how thorough
his grasp of all the elements
of this universe
no matter how amazing
is his body and soul
and thoughts
and cares
somehow if he has to be
decent at all
must know about the
fact of an end.
a manner, of ending
a meeting, a manner of ending
a conversation, no matter how nice it is
some men are much better at it
when through when the mission is done
when everything is over
when all is said and done
knows how is it to end what he
has started
he takes his life and not waste it
in a meaningless nook
in the useless passage of the hours
where the bell tolls and no one listens

They said that Etta James is still vulgar. I said, Oh, how dare them say I'm still vulgar. I'm vulgar because I dance in the chair. What would they want me to do? Want me to just be still or something like that? I've got to do something.

The whole universe is carried on on the credit system, and if the mutual confidence on which it is based were to collapse, it must itself collapse immediately. Just or unjust, it lives by faith; it is based on vague and impalpable opinion that by some inscrutable process passes into will and action, and is made manifest in matter and in flesh: it is meteoric — suspended in mid-air; it is the baseless fabric of a vision so vast, so vivid, and so gorgeous that no base can seem more broad than such stupendous baselessness, and yet any man can bring it about his ears by being over-curious; when faith fails, a system based on faith fails also. Whether the universe is really a paying concern, or whether it is an inflated bubble that must burst sooner or later, this is another matter. If people were to demand cash payment in irrefragable certainty for everything that they have taken hitherto as paper money on the credit of the bank of public opinion, is there money enough behind it all to stand so great a drain even on so great a reserve?

Lies, Damned Lies And Statistics
World politicians adore the stat,
It can hide their lies in any format,
They can say we are now out of recession,
Despite the fact we're still in a depression.
What is this miracle we call the stat,
I hear you all ask what exactly is that,
Politicians will tell you that yes it's a fact,
If it's based on a stat then they will act.
They are the ultimate masters of the stat,
It can hide their deceit during a chat,
They truly are masters of their craft,
They'd have us believe that we're all daft.
Homes repossessed are contained in a stat,
Their figures are lower than we know they're at,
But the truth is different we're out on the street,
The fact is their stats are full of deceit.
Inflation is always contained in a stat,
They're as clear as treacle in a darkwood vat,
The prices we're paying are not as they seem,
Believe that if you like and let out a scream.
To believe what's contained within a stat,
You'd have to be a total prat,
While all of our lives are being enjoyed,
They can tell us nobody's unemployed.
The state of the world is based on a stat,
How many are thin how many are fat,
The information supplied is supposed to relieve,
Truth is none of it you can believe.
The way that they can present a stat,
Is a fish is a bird and a dog is a cat,
They're a strange way of saying all is well,
When truth is we're all heading for hell.
Whoever invented the bloody stat,
Was surely brought up as a spoiled brat,
Nothing better to do with their tedious life,
Than to devise a way of lying about life.
Facts just don't exist within a stat,
Or they could well show our world is flat,
This would have a terrible effect,
As quite frankly it's not politically correct.
Politicians couldn't live without their stat,
They'd be like a cricketer without his bat,
Without the stat their system dies,
Like them they're all based on lies.
But none of them care for they love the stat,
Though everyone else can smell a rat,
Stats tell them what they want to hear,
Like darkened glass they're crystal clear.
The fact is you can never believe a stat,
It's meant to beguile us it can wear any hat,
You'd retrieve more facts from a team of mystics,
Than you'd get from those,
