Albert Camus

A man's work is nothing but this slow trek to rediscover, through the detours of art, those two or three great and simple images in whose presence his heart first opened.

I think images are worth repeating
Images repeated from a painting
Images taken from a painting
From a photo worth re-seeing
I love images worth repeating
Project them upon the ceiling
Multiply them with silk screening
See them with a different feeling
Images, oh, images
Images, oh, images
Some say images have no feeling
I think theres a deeper meaning
Mechanical precision or so its seeming
Instigates a cooler feeling
I love multiplicity of screenings
Things born anew display new meanings
I think images are worth repeating
And repeating and repeating
Images, oh, images
Images, images
Im no urban idiot savant
Spewing paint without any order
Im no sphinx, no mystery enigma
What I paint is very ordinary
I dont think Im old or modern
I dont think I think Im thinking
It doesnt matter what Im thinking
Its the images that are worth repeating
And repeating, oh, images
Images
If youre looking for a deeper meaning
Im as deep as this high ceiling
If you think technique is meaning
You might find me very simple
You might think that images boring
Cars and cans and chairs and flowers
You might find me personally boring
Hammer, sickle, mao tse tong
Mao tse tong
Ooohhh, images, images
Images
I think that it bears repeating
The images upon the ceiling
I love images worth repeating
And repeating and repeating
Images, images
Oh, images, oh, images

To me, its seems necessary to rediscover - and the energy to do so exists - that even the political and economic spheres need moral responsibility, a responsibility that is born in man's heart and, in the end, has to do with the presence or absence of God.

Robert Graves

In Broken Images

He is quick, thinking in clear images;
I am slow, thinking in broken images.

He becomes dull, trusting to his clear images;
I become sharp, mistrusting my broken images.

Trusting his images, he assumes their relevance;
Mistrusting my images, I question their relevance.

Assuming their relevance, he assumes the fact;
Questioning their relevance, I question the fact.

When the fact fails him, he questions his senses;
When the fact fails me, I approve my senses.

He continues quick and dull in his clear images;
I continue slow and sharp in my broken images.

He in a new confusion of his understanding;
I in a new understanding of my confusion.

The closest friend

The closest friend
~
How beautiful the night
Where I rediscovered my heart
How your soft embrace
Those gentle lips I kissed
The warmth of your eyes
A look I shall not forget
The light in your smile
Lit my soul to the night
There where we lay together
I felt my heart began to stir
Thoughts and feelings I had forgotten
Reminding me of their presence
The feel of your touch
Made me feel a new kind of alive
You are the closest of friends
One whom I could confide my soul unto
You helped me rediscover my heart
For that I thank you

Simple As That

Got us a situation
It dont need no explanation
It dont take a scientist
To figure out just what this is
Unlike the changing seasons
Love happens without reason
Its as simple as that
Two people meet its destiny that theyre together
Its as simple as that
I knew when I met you that this would last forever
Its as simple as that
And I can promise you that I will leave you never
Im happy right where Im at
Its as simple as that
Its how I feel when you call my name
Its holdin hands in the pouring rain
A slow dance that never ends
The sweet sound of violins
And even when were apart
You beat around in my heart
Its as simple as that
Two people meet its destiny that theyre together
Its as simple as that
I knew when I met you that this would last forever
Its as simple as that
And I can promise you that I will leave you never
Im happy right where Im at
Its as simple as that
Its as simple as that
Two people meet its destiny that theyre together
I knew when I met you that this would last forever
And I can promise you that I will leave you never
Im happy right where Im at
Its as simple as, its as simple as that
Its as simple as that
Its as simple as that
Its as simple as that.

Great Expectations

(eric carmen)
Seems everyday
Im gettin harder pressed
To find a reason to shave
Watchin the hours
Just slippin away
No motivation to get out of bed
And carry on the charade
Caught in a dream thats goin astray
Oh, all those great expectations
Seems they never work out, never work out
The way that I plan
All those great expectations
Why they never work out, never work out
I cant understand
And just when I think
That things are goin right
I get a call from l.a.
Sorry to say were changin your song
I try to reason
But I cant get through
Theyre gonna do it their way
What can I say
Theyve never been wrong
Oh, all those great expectations
Seems they never work out, never work out
The way that I plan
All those great expectations
Why they never work out, never work out
I cant understand
Life is just a game of chance
I think somebody said so
Sometimes you get a hula hoop
Sometimes you get an edsel
Oh, all those great expectations
Seems they never work out, never work out
The way that I plan
All those great expectations
Why they never work out, never work out
I cant understand

Sweet And Simple

Try and keep it simple, not too far away
Movin' slow, so simple, never felt this way
Movin' sweet, so simple, takin' time to say
Aware to being, to being simple, never felt this way
Don't be lonely, oh my friends, forget the past
Sweet as sugar, when you're movin', when you're movin' slow at last
It's what I like to do
How could it be so simple to forget the way
Aware to being, to being simple, never felt this way
(Solo)
Oh, don't be lonely, no no no, forget the past
Sweet as sugar, when you're movin' slow, you're movin' slow at last
It's what I like to do
It's what I like to do... (repeats out)

the Lady of Shalott wove her tapestry over time time time
copying mirrored images faithfully seen in mind mind mind
her weaving life scenes days passing was safe slow slow slow
unfolding life mysteries ever window passing must time go go go
mirrored images replace life risk realities if we safe stay stay stay
love glimpsed mirror cracks heart spins fate feared today today today
love births embraced unfrequented love three steps slays slays slays

Something Uncommon

the little boy cried
last night he clenched his fist
and demanded
in fury that the window be opened
the mother who was not there
talked over the phone
through the elder girl
who was in charge of their
affairs
sensing the danger of
what may happen when the
window is opened

it was simple
i mean the boy's demand was simple

he clenched his fist against the moon
for what reason

i do not really know
at his young age at three

though i've been there once
i still cannot figure out why?

Whip

Great Great Great Great
is thy work
The fortune hunter
your uninterrupted lamp
has
torch light out the
parasite in their closet
like an erosion that called
the black pot of sacrifice of the perpetrator
Great Great Great Great
is thy work
The fervent farmer
your crude instrument
has
uprooted the unwanted ornament
in the vineyard
like locus waiting the planter

Great Great Great Great
is thy work
The lean steward
you never sleep nor slumber
in the quest of monitoring the
offender in the field like Nigeria
EFCC punching out the beautiful criminals

Great Great Great Great
is thy work
The no nonsense headmaster
with this
masquerade Cain whipping
the deaf prefect in the school of moral

The whip that caution the senior wife
is at the top of the roof for
YOU

Slow Down

You got it the wrong way round completely
The fact that I love you so
Doesn't make me a fool
One day you just might grow tired of chasing
The end of a rainbow
Your already there you know
So Slow down
Tell me why you're running
Turn round
Let it out keep and keep it coming
Nothing I can do if I can't get to you
Slow day
Remember the day you came to see me
Even that lonely long drive
Couldn't keep us apart
And you opened up to me completely
And you gave me peace of mind
The rest we can leave behind
So Slow down
Tell me why you're running
Turn round let it out and keep it coming
Nothing I can do if I can't get to you
Slow sown
You don't have to hurt yourself
And feel so small
It's so confusing
And you're already there
Slow down
Tell me why you're running
Turn round let it all out keep it coming
Nothing I can do if I can't get to you
Slow down
So slow down
Tell me why you're running
Turn round let it all out and keep it coming
Nothing I can do if I can't get to you
Slow down

A deception with conscience

Person can’t be deceived by his own conscience
He has inner instinct to remember and feel the presence
One may be successful in little time period
People may think different of him and avoid

“Did you ever see my profile?
Catch me there for while
It may speak for my self and reveal
There is hardly anything to conceal” I replied to a question

”Poets need not speak for themselves
Their volumes or work may speak itself
It is how you present your life and work poetically
It gets on to the heart of people theoretically” I finished it by saying

You have so much to learn from friends
They may advance from different angles and lend
The valuable support and inspiration
It may its own weight and startling revelation

I find female readers or friends more considerate
They are near to the truth and hold views very moderate
What they present is purely from mother’s heart
They never try to impose or even try to look smart

They may be found in friend, daughter or beloved
Most all feelings are bridged and puzzle is solved
They nearly take you to the dead far end
Revive it with kind and best human trend

I may not see in them only from sex point of view
I try to understand them and give their legitimate due
This must be the secret of any poet and be pursued
So at any time they are not misunderstood and sued

Should I restrict my self to only writing?
What if some one offers beautiful fighting?
Not ending in scuffle but lovely exchanges of words
I always take it as good sign and look forward

what tasks poets are supposed to presume and perform?
Take the readers views in arms and stay informed
this may prove to be great joy for the moment
it may be not only great event but surely good movement

Is it purely a matter of poetical value?
Don’t you think our presence in vital role is due?
What we are expected to deliver at the critical juncture?
Is the future really dependent on well presentation of literature?

I take it as holy task making our presence known on all the forums
We may encounter many unpleasant tasks with future in doldrums
It is how you tackle the sentiments of readers at your heart
The pace may be very slow but you may find it very encouraging from start

God’s At Work

Be still, be quiet and you shall see, the hand of The God of Eternity.
Just be still and know He is God, shepherding all with staff and rod.
He’s at work throughout your life; He’s the comfort in pain and strife.
And when a problem won’t relent, God is there with encouragement.
He’s at work in the darkest night; for God is for you that guiding light.

He guides you with a loving nod, protecting you on this earthly sod.
God’s at work in all of His own, as He guides us to an eternal home.
Even if you do not see God’s hand, simply be still then understand,
God doesn’t move like you or me, He moves throughout all eternity.
Starting before the beginning friend, and His presence will not end.

He doesn’t work on earthly time; God’s timely measures are Divine.
God’s been working in lives of men, since that pair was condemned.
God has been working to rectify, the problem created by Satan’s lie.
Friend it isn’t that God is slow, He’s just patient so that all can know,
The problem by Satan was rectified, on the cross, when Jesus died.

Now He’s at work in believers friend, helping others to comprehend,
The saving Truth of Jesus Christ, so that they can gain Eternal Life.
With a new life in Christ you’ll see, how He’s at work in you and me.
Let Christ Jesus in your heart, and a new work in you God will start.
God’s work will be done in ways, to fill your heart with eternal praise.

Homegrown Stuff

Simple.
Profound...
And to the point!
No detours or scenic views.
Directly applied,
Without sedation.
Or an offer of a variety,
Of freshly baked desserts.
Topped with icecream with a cherry.
The identity present...
Does not seek definition.
This is homegrown stuff.
And it is good.
Trust!

The Perfect Perfect Poem

Imagine that God asked you to write the perfect poem.
You sat down at the table, pen and paper at the ready.
You let your mind drift, as if in gentle wholesome prayer.
You wait for some guidance as to the main theme.
Into your mind came the title. How? You could not say.
Yet there it was, as if it were your destiny... your duty...
You write the title down and pause to think about it...
Into your mind come images, unbidden, unrehearsed.

Images unfolding, as from some midnight dream.
You think you should write down the first line.
You force the first verse to fit your new desire.
The words work well and you are warmly pleased.
With a faithful heart, you press on with joy.
The images continue and more words flow...
Who is the writer now? Who is leading the pen?
You are puzzled as the images stop suddenly.

You are given time to catch up, so all is well.
The words become eloquent, bold and fanciful.
The story becomes more than what is first known.
A hidden meaning has yet to be revealed.
You sense it is on its way and you strain to know it.
What can it be? Is it a secret from the Lord?
Is it a precious prophecy, is it a holy revelation?
And you tremble, with eyes closed tight, waiting.

'Tell me! ' you plead with God... 'Tell me! '
Then the secret comes and all you see is light.
White hot burning light, the essence of God's glory.
It is fitting to kneel in the presence of Christ.
Behold the Son of the Most High, the risen Lord...
And all that was written before means nothing.
Now is the time for revelation, for the Lord speaks.
And you are truly ready, for now is the time to write.

Noble and Genleman

You are not messiah, messenger or angel
Simple man on earth written in fairy’s tale
I salute to your great work but made never known
You stand as shining star and absolutely well known

People say “you are noble and gentleman”
To them you are simple and ordinary man
I know you do nothing extra ordinary
But remain among them when necessary

You are neither a social worker nor a religious person
Yet loved by them and held in high esteem by various reasons
You gave nothing of any kind that might have benefited them
Still more and more plants were coming out from stem

Why and how such transformation has taken place?
You have no personal interest or any ambition to chase
Why do the people see in you great reformer?
Where as you work little and act as only informer

You remain close their heart and guide on small matters
May be concerning to them as little earners
Still there is strong bond and you convey with sincerity
What can be good for them in terms of good quality?

Some of the people may know everything but disclose little
This may land people in problems and don’t allow to settle
They won’t trust other people who do nothing and misguide
Cheat and deceive when time comes and politely hide

You stood among them as torch bearers
Not serious leader but as respectable teacher
Not recognized from any of the big universities
But simple thinker with noble turn out and niceties

World may not take note of you at large
But you have made place in people’s heart
You may not receive noble prize or any of the reward
Millions of heart may raise their hands as award

Let your statues not come up to be unveiled
Let your work may be forgotten or failed
Still that may be widely recognized when time comes
They may shed tears in recognition and welcome
