Every person has only so much attention to give, and politics and government takes up only a fraction of what it did 25 years ago.

When you're talking with a person at this level of the government, at the very highest level, I think you have to be very discreet because he, President Clinton, is very aware that anything he says publicly can have a profound impact on American politics and on world politics.

The Day They Robbed Me Of My Life (In Answer To Don Mattera)
Black people have got power
in this government that rules,
to sing songs of hatred
like kill the Boer, kill the farmer,
kill the white man
and to sit back in comfortable chairs,
while pillage, rape, torture
and robberies takes place
and then when crime is out of control
to be about it totally amazed
Black people have got power
in this government that rules,
to destroy a lifetime’s career,
years of study at university,
years of experience
of doing a person’s utter best
in moments with affirmative action
and turning lives into nothing but dust.

Quicksand Years
QUICKSAND years that whirl me I know not whither,
Your schemes, politics, fail--lines give way--substances mock and
elude me;
Only the theme I sing, the great and strong-possess'd Soul, eludes
not;
One's-self must never give way--that is the final substance--that out
of all is sure;
Out of politics, triumphs, battles, life--what at last finally
remains?
When shows break up, what but One's-Self is sure?

I believe in an America with a government of men devoted solely to the public interests — men of ability and dedication, free from conflict or corruption or other commitment — a responsible government that is efficient and economical, with a balanced budget over the years of the cycle, reducing its debt in prosperous times — a government willing to entrust the people with the facts that they have — not a businessman's government, with business in the saddle … not a labor government, not a farmer's government, not a government of one section of the country or another, but a government of, for and by the people.

Bloop
I'm walking down the hallway,
of MY school,
and everyone knows my name,
it's like they know a person,
who said hi to me once,
because they did my homework for me,
and all of a suden were friends...
were not,
why does every one have to know my name,
i mean why cant..four people know my name,
that's only four hello's in the morning,
and four goodbyes at night,
but no,
of course not,
i must know everyone and have some intimate bond with them because they desire attetnion,
I do not want attention,
i do not desire attention, and i do not need attention,
why does everyone give me so much...
it's like the people are sucking the life out of me,
they all know my first,
and last name,
HOW do they know that,
sometimes i even forget thet..
well not really,
but I don't know anyone's name

But on the other hand government takes away a certain amount of liberty and in some countries it takes away all of liberty. And it will, everywhere, if people who fight government do not fight government any longer.

The teaching of politics is that the Government, which was set for protection and comfort of all good citizens, becomes the principal obstruction and nuisance with which we have to contend. The cheat and bully and malefactor we meet everywhere is the Government.

True Love Takes Time
This song was first released on the one world album. it is the only album it has been released on.
As I travel down the road and search the empty sky
Waiting for the moment when my eyes will see
Many are the memories the mysteries of time
How they dance around and whisper endlessly
Yes Ive travelled down this road before
Where so many men have come and gone
But you know it takes time
(true love takes time)
You know that true love takes time
(true love takes time)
And its so very hard to find
(true love takes time)
You know that love takes time
It seemed impossible that I could care again
So it seemed I had forgotten how to give
What is this miracle that brings me back my dreams
All at once I can remember how to live
Yes Ive travelled down this road before
Where so many men have come and gone
But you know it takes time
(true love takes time)
You know that true love takes time
(true love takes time)
And its so very hard to find
(true love takes time)
You know that true love takes time
I have been too much alone for oh so many years
Looking for someone to sing with me
Sweet harmony
My heart is open now and tender to the touch
But there is love enough to heal me in your hands
Ill give you all my nights
All my sun and rainy days
Ill give you all the time it takes to understand
Weve travelled down this road before
Where so many fools have come and gone
But you know it takes time
(true love takes time)
You know that true love takes time
(true love takes time)
And its so very hard to find
(true love takes time)
You know that true love takes time
(true love takes time)
(true love takes time)
(true love takes time)

Secretly Having An Affair
I've been doing this,
For years.
Without thought of receiving attention,
For years.
And for years,
There has been no expectations.
Until someone brought it to my attention,
I should keep my opinions to myself.
Since Mother Nature had become influenced!
And it became known we were secretly having an affair.

The message that I gave on the - on the steps today was that you need to stand for those things that are right and empower the individual. Believe in the power of one person. Don't believe that you can't do it. Everybody wants - everybody wants a shot. That we can all agree on. Beyond that, it becomes politics. I'm not talking politics.

All The Way
It doesnt take a genius
To tell me what I am
Or lecture me with poetry
And tell me that I can
I dont remember
What happened yesterday
But I dont give a damn about
What all those people say
It takes years to find the nerve
To be apart from what youve done
To find the truth inside yourself
And not depend on anyone
It takes years to find the nerve
To be apart from what youve done
To find the truth inside yourself
And not depend on anyone
It dont take no houdini
To tell me what I am
Parasites and literasites
Theyd burn me if they can
But I dont give a damn about
What those people say
They pick you up and kick you out
They hurt you every day
It takes years to find the nerve
To be apart from what youve done
To find the truth inside yourself
And not depend on anyone
It takes years to find the nerve
To be apart from what youve done
To find the truth inside yourself
And not depend on anyone
It takes years to find the nerve
To be apart from what youve done
To find the truth inside yourself
And not depend on anyone
It takes years to find the nerve
To be apart from what youve done
To find the truth inside yourself
And not depend on anyone

The Best Love Yet To Get
There is one disadvantage,
In being a part of a large family.
Or inter-related like many who confess it.
There will be more than a few believing,
They are deserving of getting attention.
With a love to them individually expressed.
And those who have accepted life as it is...
Have learned to give love without attention given,
Because with them it is love they feel.
And this is what they give to others regardless.
Since God has already give them all the attention,
And this love once known is the best love yet to get.
Although some with insecurities will feel a need,
To call attention upon themselves.
For whatever those reasons...
To appease and satisfy their mental weaknesses.
Thank God the trees aren't jealous of their branches.
Or the leaves sprouting from them which are nourished.

God, Mary and Jesus
Can a good person give his lover grief
If he himself possesses all the powers?
Can a good person make his lover mortal
If he himself is immortal?
Can a good person deprive his son of a lover
For many years
If he himself has a lover?
Can a good person deprive his son
Of enough power, wealth and prestige
For many years
If he himself has all that?
Can a good person hurt his son
If no one is able to hurt him?
And so forth.
There are many people still now
Who do not give grief to their lovers!
There are many people still now
Who sacrifice their lives for their lovers!
There are many people still now
Who arrange marriage of their infants!
There are many people still now
Who give many of their belongings to their children!
There are many people still now
Who sacrifice their lives for their children!
Is God a bad person then?
There are many people still now
Who have more than one lover!
There are many people still now
Who have more than one child!
Does God lack sufficient amount of love?
Is there no other girl who loves God?
Does God dislike children?
If one son is enough for God,
What about a daughter?
Holy Spirit is no one else but Angel Gabriel
In the Holy Koran He is sometimes called Ruh
Which means Soul or Spirit
Because he is so near and dear to God's body
So please, don't say, Three;
There's only one God.

Whatever It Takes
Face to face we embrace
We drink of loves sweetest wine
Whispered names fan the flames
Each touch is frozen in time
I can feel your heart
And the rhythm of it echoes through my soul
Well surely you know
Whatever it takes baby Im gonna be there
Whatever it takes baby youve got to know
Whatever it takes to be true to you
Baby Ill do it somehow
Promises made to last
These are the hardest to find
Touch me now, let me know
Your love will always be mine
As the years go by
And the fire of my love surely grows
Baby you know
Whatever it takes baby Im gonna be there
Whatever it takes baby youve got to know
Whatever it takes to be true to you
Ill love you to the end
Whatever it takes baby Im gonna be there
Whatever it takes baby youve got to know
Whatever it takes to be true to you
Baby--somehow...
I wanna be true to you
I wanna be hugging you, kissing you
Love you all of my life
Whatever it takes baby
Whatever it takes baby
Im gonna give all of my love, all of my life
Whatever it takes baby
Whatever it takes baby
Im gonna give you all of my love til the end of time
(whatever it takes baby)
Whatever it takes baby (whatever it takes baby)
(all of, all of, all of my life)
I wanna be hugging you, kissing you, yeah
(whatever it takes baby)
(whatever it takes baby)
Whatever it takes baby
(all of, all of, all of my life)
All of my life
(whatever it takes baby)
(whatever it takes baby)
(all of, all of, all of my life)
I wanna be hugging you, kissing you, yeah
(whatever it takes baby)
(whatever it takes baby)

The Cost of Freedom
Syria...
violence in the streets...
peaceful protesters
marching for human rights,
equality, and change
being slaughtered
by their own government...
now here...
shadows of Kent State...
common people
pushed to the edge
in the battle for
survival, human dignity,
and hope for a future...
already abandoned
by our own government...
will it take being
killed to get their attention?
will it take dying
to give our children
a chance?
you say it cant happen here!
open your eyes, your ears,
your hearts...
it's already begun!
what is the cost of freedom?
