We know we cannot underestimate the importance of emergency planning in our region, nor can we assume we'll have ample warning time. If an earthquake or terrorist attack hits, we won't necessarily have advance alerts or opportunities to double- and triple-check our plans.

As best I can tell there was no advance warning of the attack on the World Trade Center in 1993, which was the first significant foreign terrorist activity in the U.S. No tip-offs that it was coming.

Americans rightly asked, if this is the way our government responds to a natural disaster it knew about days in advance, how would it respond to a surprise terrorist attack? How would it respond to an earthquake?

Adultery at one’s wills

.

Proximity promotes adultery
But not necessarily.
Opportunities encourage adultery
But not necessarily.
Necessities warrant adultery
But not necessarily.
Baits contribute to adultery
But not necessarily.
Adultery is no more than a theft
Which will happen with one’s wills.

The Emergency Room

Here comes the ambulance
With another patient anew;
The emergency room staff are ready
With life-saving gadgets in view!

Is it another accident?
Is it a case of poisoning?
Is it a heart attack or an
Acute surgical emergency?

The casualty works night and day;
Triage has to done without delay;
Diagnosis must be fast in some way;
Resuscitation is prime, come what may.

The golden hour is important
Check for the ABC
Look for the vital parameters,
If you want to save the life!

A hospital’s busiest place,
Where life can ebb away,
If we do not race,
To salvage with great pace!

Where none can ever wait;
Stretcher-trolley stands at the gate;
Personnel are ever-ready on any date;
Waste no time or it will be too late!

A Womans Threat

My time, my patience, my love
My blood, my sweat, my tears
My burdens, my drama, my pain
My car, my money, my home
My ups, my downs, my fears
And my hours, my work, my strength
My fault, my this, my that
Nigga please
If you dont stop
(this is a warning)
Someones gonna lay in your bed
(this is a warning)
And someones gonna eat your food
(this is a warning)
And someones gonna wear your clothes
(this is a warning)
And someones gonna fit your shoes
(this is a warning)
And someones gonna get your keys
(this is a warning)
And someones gonna open your doors
(this is a warning)
Someones gonna get your check
(this is a warning)
This is a womans threat
Baby, this is a womans threat
My shakin, my sleep, my stress
My days, my night, my rest
My dos, my donts, my dares
And my church, my pastor, my prayers
My all, my faith, my powers
And my kitchen, my sink, my towels
My joy, my sad, my hate
And my sister, my cousin, my friends
My lights, my gas, my bills
My role, my way, my will
My hollerin, my fussin, my fights
Nigga please
If you dont stop
(this is a warning)
Someones gonna lay in your bed
(this is a warning)
And someones gonna eat your food
(this is a warning)
And someones gonna wear your clothes
(this is a warning)
And someones gonna fit your shoes

And someones gonna get your keys
(this is a warning)
And someones gonna open your doors
(this is a warning)
Someones gonna get your check
(this is a warning)
This is a womans threat
Baby
My future, my hopes, my dreams
My panties, my socks, my things
My flowers, my dress, my ring
My man, my lover, my king
My live, my chance, my fault
And my guts, my courage, my wounds
My fence, my neighbors, my yard
My chains, my lock, my guards
My win, my lose, my gain
And my credit, my card, my name
Myself, my freedom, my roof
Nigga please
If you dont stop
(this is a warning)
Someones gonna lay in your bed
(this is a warning)
And someones gonna eat your food
(this is a warning)
And someones gonna wear your clothes

(this is a warning)
And someones gonna open your doors
(this is a warning)
Someones gonna get your check
(this is a warning)
This is a womans threat
Baby, this is a womans threat
Listen
(whoa, whoa...)
Have you ever heard the story
About the three little bears
See they papa was gone
For a long, long, long, long time
When he returned
To his sweet little home
He had come to find
That all of his porridge was gone
If you dont stop
(this is a warning)
Someones gonna lay in your bed
(this is a warning)
And someones gonna eat your food
(this is a warning)
And someones gonna wear your clothes
(this is a warning)
And someones gonna fit your shoes
(this is a warning)
And someones gonna get your keys
(this is a warning)
And someones gonna open your doors
(this is a warning)
Someones gonna get your check
(this is a warning)
This is a womans threat

Surprise in Japan - Our Rattling Plates

earthquake
teutonic plates rattle
our plates

earthquake
rattling our nerves
the plates on the shelf

softly rattling
to an earthquake
our plates on the shelf

ratting plates
our seismic
detector

rattling plates
oh it is the earthquake
bothering us again

Ring of Fire
every now and then
our plates rattle

rattling plates
a belief in fate keeps
my heart calm

rattling plates
i put my life in
the hands of god

Japan is on one of the most siesmic proned region of the world called ring of fire. In our apartment, every now and then, the plates we stack one over the other on the shelf would rattle. When the earthquake was
strong enough, they would jump off the shelf. It was a surprise to me at first when I heard our plates rattled every now and then especially at night.

Take The Black

The moon is full you can not see
There's something in the air
Sound asleep you're into deep
Protecting your own lair
The lion roar into the night
Yet another foe to slay
Who are you that I see right through
The hunter or the pray?
Too late to hear the final warning
No one can defy the reaper
Voices - Twisted
Calling out your name
Voices - Twisted
Calling for you
Ain't no reason for the rhyme
Take the Black - Ready to attack
Take the Black
Face to face you bide your time
Take the Black - Ready to attack
Take the Black
You though you had it all in there
In your little bag of tricks
Insanity won't set you free
As you cross the river Styx
You're out of time your bridges burn
In the undying flame
We'll nail you down to the ground
For you to bear the shame
Too late to hear the final warning
No one can defy the reaper
Voices - Twisted
Calling out your name
Voices - Twisted
Calling for you
Ain't no reason for the rhyme
Take the Black - Ready to attack
Take the Black
Face to face you bide your time
Take the Black - Ready to attack
Voices - Twisted
Calling out your name
Voices - Twisted
Calling for you

Don't Underestimate The Power Of...

Don’t Underestimate The Power
Of Your Embrace
The Power You Hold
In That Timeless Place

When My World Stops
At Your Wonderful Touch
Suspended In Rapture
With You, Giving So Much

… Strength and Comfort
And Tender Care
Don’t Underestimate
The Power There …

Don’t Underestimate The Power
Of Holding Hands
A Symbol-Bond, Saying,
‘Together, We Stand’

As We Share and Show
As One, We Plan
To Face The Future
With GOD … ‘We Can’

Don’t Underestimate The Power
Of Seeing Your Face
Eyes of Night-Skies
And Lips Of Berries’ Taste

Those Mystery Eyes
When They Meet With Mine
Passion Pours
As Our Lips, Wine and Dine …

Don’t Underestimate The Power
Of Our Hearts
Don’t Underestimate The Power
O Love’s Great Art

Tho’ The Heart, May Be Struck
With 10,000 Darts
Love, Has The Power To Make It
To Never Break Apart!

Don’t Underestimate The Power
Of Your Embrace
Don’t Underestimate The Power
Of Your Sweet Face

Don’t Underestimate The Power
Of Pure, Sweet Love
It, Is What, Holding Hands and Hearts
And Hopes Are Made Of

* * * *

(Don’t Underestimate …
The Power Of Even This …
Poetic Notes, Sealed With A Kiss
Words Spoken In Lover’s Bliss

A Whispered Wish, I Insist
Is Also, On The ‘Don’t Underestimate List …
So, Just Don’t Underestimate The Powers
Of A Love, So Strong and True, As Ours …)

Destroy the enemy

“Destroy the enemy country” shouted the commander
Employ any means to bring them under
Shock, pressure, warning with threatening posture
So they think twice for any kind of retaliation in future

The message was intercepted at intelligence quarter
It was in no way comforting us or making better
It was another grand design to destabilize the region
There was no regard for community or religion

Some of the people are disgruntled lot and working against
There main aim is to crate the fanatics with no further interest
They want to have complete sway over domestic and international affairs
It is assumed unrealistic and not at all considered fair

Some of the hard core elements got unstinted support
They were allowed free entry at all ports
Their demand for destructive weapons was met
Now they have sealed the promoter’s fate

It has spread across globe as virus
No country is in position to put any trust
Everybody is feared of possible attack
Their population and national interest is at stake

No one can claim religious superiority on the basis of mere numbers
In some of the places they may be in minority or out numbered
Yet no one can force them to flee or face the eviction
It is very hard to assume such role with conviction

We have seen their suicide mission
They have no guilt for admission
They are not worried about their fate
They are ready to die without anything at stake

There is no route open for us to wipe them out
They must face worst possible rout
Either they should be annihilated completely
Or convinced to shed the path of violence willingly

They may realize the futility of wrong chosen path
The consequences and results may be dipterous aftermath
Let that be handled strictly without showing any mercy
But at the same time keeping option open for any emergency

Assume They Lie

Today...
With various masks worn,
To disguise and hide.
Assume people lie.

Even those first introduced.
Assume they lie.
Relieve yourself,
From listening to future excuses.

Until someone has won your trust.
With a thorough scrutiny,
Only time affords one they can safely give up.
Don't try to analyze someone first met.
Assume they lie.
Assume they disrespect.
Assume they gossip like all the rest.

Today...
With various masks worn,
To disguise and hide.
Assume people lie.

When meeting someone fresh upon the scene,
Assume they lie...
Until your honesty and dignity given,
Has not corrupted your willingness to trust.
Don't sit in denial with tears to cry.

Until that time has come,
And you are convinced...
You have met someone different,
Than those who have rushed away...
After crushing your trust.
Assume they lie.
Don't even try to wonder.

Double Negative

Is a double negative always positive

I posit....N O...no

If we took all the negative things in the world

put them in a big pile

divided them

counted each side
would the result be even or odd

I don't know the answer to this but I assume(and you know what that makes us both) ....oh the hell with cliches
I assume that the answer would not be the answer for long

the way of the world is negatives are created

faster than positives even on slow days

such as this one....right here

Ok, maybe in math...but this is a poem

hmmmm....I wonder what double digression looks like

what about photography? ....I don't know

I am all digital now

anyway if a boink is negative......

what is a double boink?

in a double blind study where both participants were in fact blind
the boinker of the fist boink said to the boinker of the second boink
Mama said fist boinking would make us blind

and here we are part of a wonderful scientific exspearament

want some gum?

Breaking Dawn

In the hush I hear you;

faint footsteps along the corridor:

refrigerator opening
in the dead of night.

In the hush
I hear milk pour
and I wait;
my face to the wall;
my mind there too.

Double Doubts
and Triple Hurts
align the staircase
and I hear them
treading up.

Where were you?

I feign sleep
to the running water
and the sound of clothes rustling
in the quiet dark.

I am still;
the stillness
of time frozen.

Your weight hits the bed
and sinks.

'I got the job, worked tonight.
Sorry didn't call.
It's not much
but it's better than no job at all.'

Outside dawn was breaking.

Aint Necessarily So

(slow)
It aint necessarily so
No, it aint necessarily so
These things that youre liable,
To read in the bible.
No it aint necessarily so
(jammin)
You bet that you cant be wrong.
No place where you dont belong.
Theres nothin you dont know.
But it aint necessarily so
To you theres never no doubt.
Its either in or its out.
You sure put up quite a show.
But it aint necessarily so
I said hold, let your bad self go.
Hold on, caus you already know.
Its never maybe or might.
To you its black or its white.
If I say yes you say no.
But it anns necessarily so
Hold on, let your bad self go.
Hold on, cause you already know.
You think that you cant be wrong.
No place where you dont belong.
