I was just very conscious that I could either bore people by having the music be similar for too long, or I could just wear them out and bore them in a different way by having it changing too much every minute or two minutes. So, there was that kind of balance to get right.

They're buildin' the gallows outside my cell.
I got 25 minutes to go.

Personally, I still don’t really know what progressive means. In some people’s minds if a piece of music is over 10 minutes long, it automatically gets the label of being progressive. I always enjoy playing arrangements kind of in a classical format, which is in movements. To me, music is either good or bad; it doesn’t matter what the label is. The kind of progressive label that I don’t like is the one that involves lyrics that quote dancing gnomes, Stonehenge and fairytales.

Some people seem so obsessed with the morning
Get up early just to watch the sun rise
Some people like it more when theres fire in the sky
Worship the sun when its high

But I like every minute of the day
