Zombie Zoo

All down the street they're standin' in line
With white lipstick and one thing on their mind
Hey little freak with the lunch pail purse
Underneath th e paint you're just a little girl
Dancin' at the zombie zoo, dancin' at the zombie zoo
Painted in a corner and all you wanna do
Is dance down at the zombie zoo
Cute little dropout, how come you pack a rod
Is your mother in a clinic ? has your father got no job ?
Sometimes you're so impulsive,
You shaved off all you're hair
You look like boris karloff and you don't even care
You're dancin' at the zombie zoo,

A zombie stopped
by the castle
on a rainy day
A day when I
was all alone

My father
the beloved king
was far away

with a zombie
can be
nerve wracking

Surprises 2

Life is filled with surprises
and I have had my fair share of them.

Imagine going to a friend’s funeral
and months down the line,
you end up marrying his widow.
Yes, that has happened to me.

Imagine after fifty-six years
discovering you had a brother
you never knew you had.
Yes, that has happened to me.

Imagine going to school with someone
you never remember speaking to
and then fifty-one years later
they become your best friend.
Yes, that has happened to me.

Imagine this friend
introducing you to a friend of theirs
and between them both
turn your life around.
Yes, that has happened to me.

Surprises happen when you least expect them,
they can happen anytime anywhere.
You can never predict when they will occur,
they just happen for a reason,
a reason for which we are never sure.
However, never turn your back on them;
count them as a blessing
that might never come again.

Nausea

imagine yourself
facing the computer the whole day
eating lunch and supper
beside it
forgetting breakfast
escaping coffee breaks
disregarding calls
and not taking any bath
at all
imagine it is a sunday
and no one's home
because they all left you
because you
are weird
imagine at night when darkness
falls like a curtain
and you left the computer on
and you become dizzy
your head aches
and there is no one to call for
imagine that this happens
that this can happen

the truth
the nausea of having too much
of that

shutting yourself
