Political organizations have slowly substituted themselves for the Churches as the places for believing practices. Politics has once again become religious.

Every religious group, while perhaps a majority somewhere, is also inevitably a minority somewhere else. Thus, religious organizations should and do show tolerance toward members of other religious denominations.

Gives A Damn!
the day i changed
my last name to 'gives a damn',
that's when the trouble began!
why does it make people so mad
when you speak the truth?
and why so uncomfortable
when you admit your mistakes,
take off your mask and stand naked,
revealing that you're human?
and why the anger
when you treat everyone the same?
no favorites, no elite, no righteous!
no political agenda, no religious fervor,
no attempts to convert....
no need to lead or follow,
always walking beside!
equal in suffering, equal in needs,
equal freedom, equal dignity!
anti-war, and anti any government
that abuses, neglects, or terrorizes...
believing that God lives within
every living being,
not in churches, temples, or mosques....
thus believing that all life is holy,
that all beings are sacred!
'gives a damn', and always will!

Children of Our Age
We are children of our age,
it's a political age.
All day long, all through the night,
all affairs--yours, ours, theirs--
are political affairs.
Whether you like it or not,
your genes have a political past,
your skin, a political cast,
your eyes, a political slant.
Whatever you say reverberates,
whatever you don't say speaks for itself.
So either way you're talking politics.
Even when you take to the woods,
you're taking political steps
on political grounds.
Apolitical poems are also political,
and above us shines a moon
no longer purely lunar.
To be or not to be, that is the question.
And though it troubles the digestion
it's a question, as always, of politics.
To acquire a political meaning
you don't even have to be human.
Raw material will do,
or protein feed, or crude oil,
or a conference table whose shape
was quarreled over for months;
Should we arbitrate life and death
at a round table or a square one?
Meanwhile, people perished,
animals died,
houses burned,
and the fields ran wild
just as in times immemorial
and less political.

Politics And Religion
My friend politics and religion, are two topics that cause division,
The two can create in our life, many arguments and much strife.
Dear friend everybody is political, affected by the governing will,
And friend religion plays a part, in each and every human heart.
The two create much consternation, in the peoples of the nation,
With fear of what life could be, affecting the lives of you and me.
They polarize the heart of men, in ways we cannot comprehend,
Creating many political forces, some of which, religion endorses,
These issues we’re told to avoid, by men who become annoyed,
But my friend, it can’t be denied, these issues fester deep inside.
To avoid them is perpetrated by, that old Devil, the Father of lies,
Satan wants you to be deceived, so in the end, He’ll be believed.
For in the end, it shall be politics, this is the one that Satan picks,
Supported by the man’s religion, causing the world much derision.
The beast and false prophet friend, will merge together in the end,
Creating a political religious order, that moves across every border.
In the end politics won’t be denied, with no place for hearts to hide,
The politics men avoided my friend, shall religiously bring their end.
As men will believe Satan’s lie, the False Prophet they won’t deny,
But they’ll deny Jesus Christ, receiving eternal death instead of life.

Who Practices Abstinence
There's always talk about...
The getting of sex.
There's always talk about...
An innocence to protect.
And there's always talk about...
What children will do next,
If they don't ignore temptation...
And practice abstinence.
Who practices abstinence...
When the meaning's lean on doing.
And who practices abstinence...
When we're marketed to be teased,
To please...
The senses,
With a pleasure to release.
Who practices abstinence.
Who practices abstinence.
There's always talk about...
The getting of sex.
Yet...
Who practices abstinence.
Yet who practices abstinence.
There's always talk about...
An innocence to protect.
Yet...
Who practices abstinence.
Yet who practices abstinence.
When the meaning's lean on doing.
And who practices abstinence...
When we're marketed to be teased,
To please...
The senses,
With a pleasure to release.
Who practices abstinence.
Who practices abstinence.
Who practices abstinence.
Who practices abstinence.

There is a continuum of values between the churches and the general community. What distinguishes the handling of these values in the churches is mainly the heavier dosage of religious vocabulary involved.

Politics
in this country of mine
there is so much politicking
they want to know my color
they want me black
pure black
the other side wants me to be white
unadulterated white
i tell them i want to have no color at all
i just want to be myself
like a neutral transparent rain water
and all of them are angry
i cannot please everybody i said
but they do not listen
they put politics in the pulpit
in the market even in the cemetery
they put politics in the air and in the water
and in the soil
and even in the sub-soil
the worms are getting political too
and even the hawks and finches
the pebbles have no choice
but to go political too
they are now in disagreement with the river
and the bamboo trees
there is chaos in the mountain
the waterfalls rage
and then politics eventually destroys the
ecosystem
and the heavens and the purgatory
now there is only hell.
this morning they put politics as breakfast on my table.
i decided finally not to eat any.

Political realism believes that politics, like society in general, is governed by objective laws that have their roots in human nature. In order to improve society it is first necessary to understand the laws by which society lives. The operation of these laws being impervious to our preferences, men will challenge them only at the risk of failure. Realism, believing as it does in the objectivity of the laws of politics, must also believe in the possibility of developing a rational theory that reflects, however imperfectly and one-sidedly, these objective laws. It believes also, then, in the possibility of distinguishing in politics between truth and opinion — between what is true objectively and rationally, supported by evidence and illuminated by reason, and what is only a subjective judgment, divorced from the facts as they are and informed by prejudice and wishful thinking.

Affiliation Or Salvation
Many Organizations have raved, through them, men must be saved,
Through their ways and their belief, only can one find spiritual relief,
To be saved from sin’s awful curse, but, their beliefs lead to worse,
Pulling men away from God’s Truth, leading them to eternal reproof.
There’re many religious organizations, with a multitude of salvations,
All of them proclaiming to have the way, to reach Heaven in our day,
Through the salvations they arrange, many Truths these men change,
Ignoring much of God’s Revelation, as they produce a new salvation.
These organizations lead souls astray, upon a religious, broader way,
Drawing upon their own deduction, they just lead men to destruction,
In many ways these men have erred, leading men far from The Word,
Far from The Eternal Word of Life, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
Many have traded in God’s Salvation, for a fuzzy, religious affiliation,
Falling far from the only true Gospel, that Jesus Christ came to fulfill;
In their gospel they have diminished, those three words “it is finished.”
Spoken by Jesus Christ at Calvary, when God had saved you and me.
Religion isn’t how The Lord saves us, but, we’re saved in Christ Jesus,
As He is The Only Way, Truth and Life, in a world where religion is rife,
So one must be upon that narrow path, to avoid destruction and wrath,
Searching you’ll find there’s only One, Jesus Christ, God’s Eternal Son.

A SINNER … DEC 5TH,2012
BY
JAMES BREDIN
Why can't we get death-with-dignity from our politicians?
Are they too busy in their high political positions?
Should we even care as we approach the time of our deaths?
And the times when we eventually take our last breathe?
Have the churches pronounced DWD to be a mortal sin?
How can we counteract this so that we can win-win?
Did poor Sue Rodriguez get a slap in the face before she died?
That Insite drug-addict clinic in Vancouver; who did decide?
Why is all this, such an untouchable political affair?
Do the churches have more rights because they say some prayers?
Is it possible that reading these poems could be a sin?
We need binding referendums but where do we begin?

Prophets of Old
The evangelical movement Got involved with politics after Roe vs. Wade and tied itself to the right and now it needs to go through a divorce in these last days and become universalists like the prophets of old who stood up to the wrongs in Israel based on the Spirit of the Lord and Scripture not politics or ideology. I am done with backing left or right ideologies but standing for God's Word at times takes either way. Abortion is murder but so is letting someone die without healthcare because of a pre-existing illness etc We all need to put our politics on the alttar.
The LEFT wing churches are so crazy they marry gays and don't believe the Bible is the Word of God or only the parts they want are the Word....I will be no ones shill or behave in away that compromises the truth of Gods Word. These fruit cake churches have no repentance
How can we allow a corporation like Monsanto feed our kids cancer and not label its products as GMO's or disclose exactly what it does? We stay quiet because of an ideology yet see pulpits constantly put down radical Islam like the evil is over there? Let's be consistent not prejudice.

My Hero, My Heroin
I don’t need this
I don’t need you
Religious Hypocrites
Political bullshit
Propaganda overload
Test tube babies
Feed us with commercials
Rely on you
You are the hero, the heroin
You are my crutches
My savior undefiled by truth
To you we look towards hope
We sacrifice children to appease you
The wrath you hold
Worse than any gods
Lean on our shoulders
Feed on our land
Look for the undying hero
The heroin on which we depend
We stand for nothing
I found a new ecstasy
I don’t need your
Religious Hypocrites
Political bullshit
Propaganda overload
Anymore…
Look for the new way
To justify the deeds
Plagued with death
The color green is what it’s all about
Don’t you know?
You are my hero, my heroin
I would die for the cause
I shall give my life
To smother the breath
Of those unfaithful
For, you are my hero, my heroin
I need you, I love you, I want your heroin
Turn out the lights
Don’t want to see your
Religious Hypocrites
Political bullshit
Propaganda overload
Anymore…

Political realism is aware of the moral significance of political action. It is also aware of the ineluctable tension between the moral command and the requirements of successful political action. And it is
unwilling to gloss over and obliterate that tension and thus to obfuscate both the moral and the political issue by making it appear as though the stark facts of politics were morally more satisfying than they actually are, and the moral law less exacting than it actually is.
