I Understand
I understand your problem
I understand the reason for your tears
I understand what you went through
don't cry because i'm here
I'm here to catch you when you are falling
I'm here to wipe your tears
Be strong
don't let you mistakes lead you
stand and fight for yourself
don't let go
hold on still
i understand how it hurt
i understand how it feels like
get back on your feet
when stumble and fall
i understand
i understand
oh i understand your pain
i understand you went through a lot in life
but remember
be strong, and never give up
I understand

I remember...(How could I forget?)
I remember your skin, 'cause it's perfect when we meet,
I remember your voice, 'cause without it I can't speak,
I remember your noise, as I'm taking you out of your mind
I remember your pressure, as it made me melt into the sublime.
But mostly, I remember you crying and asking me how someone could love a monster,
I remember you threading your hands through my hair pulling my face to you so you could see the fear written,
I remember you telling me that you'd understand if I left.
I remember comforting you as person A, B and C walked away,
I remember calling you, already knowing what you needed to say,
I remember you calling me angel, so where did that go?
I remember everything, even if it wasn't real, so tell me, is that so?
I remember you giving me everything
I remember giving you my all
I remember watching you put me on a pedestal,
I remember watching myself fall.

Try to Understand Me Too (Autism)
Today might not be my day,
You might understand what I want to say.
There are times that I want to wave my hand,
And you might think it is something that I am trying to demand.
Can you hear the soun
ds as I pound my feet,
Well maybe not, but all I am doing is trying to sound a beat.
Do you remember when I read the book with you?
It was about the ghost and you made me laugh when you said BOO.
I love to hear it when we whisper and shout Lullabies, songs and rhymes,
To me I wonder, if they can hear us while we do this during school time.
This is one reason why I always say things over and over again,
And when you try to stop me, I get mad every now and then.
I only wish I can understand everything that I'm being told,
But to me it feels like I am always being controlled.
Can you remember when you asked the class a question and I wanted to answer it when was not my turn,
All I am just trying to do is show you that I can remember things that I learn.
I try to understand why I get so mad and I cannot control myself and I hurt you,
When I think about it I get sad and cry because I wish someone could, Try to Understand Me Too.
I wish the other kids would let me play,
If they took the time to talk to me, they might understand things my way,
I also love it when you want to teach me how to pray,
And you ask the Lord to help thru this day,
I know that you understand me and even, if no one ever wants to even take a guess,
So, this is my ways of saying thank you and telling you that I will always try and do my best.

I Remember You
I remember you
I remember me
I remember
I remember how things used to be
I remember every word that you said
I remember, how could I forget
I remember, I remember you
(I remember, I remember)
I remember you
I remember your old address
And I remember
How could I forget
I remember thinking how my luck changed
I remember being so amazed
I remember, I remember you
(I remember, I remember)
I remember, I remember you
(I remember, I remember)
I remember you
I remember me
I remember
The way things used to be
I remember how it was that we met
I remember, I will never forget
I remember, I remember you
(I remember, I remember)
I remember, I remember you
(I remember, I remember)
I remember, I remember you
(I remember, I remember)
I remember, I remember you
(I remember, I remember)
I remember, I remember you

Remember, I AM
When all their backs have been turned
When all your bridges have burned
When you forget to teach and learn
When all your tears fall down your face
When all your smiles go to waste
When your heart does no longer race
Remember, I AM
When you can't remember where you're from
When you've forgotten about true love
When you don't know which way is up
When you can't seem to understand
When you find you can't trust a man
When your foundation is made of sand
Remember, I AM
Remember I AM and I always will BE
Remember there is none like Me
Believe in what you cannot see?
Believe. Believe. Believe in Me.
Remember I AM when you don't know who you are
Remember I AM when someone breaks your heart
Remember I AM when you're torn all apart
Remember, I AM when you don't know where to start
When all your dreams turn to nothing
When your mouth forgets to sing
And when your phone no longer rings
When it seems no one does care
When you find no one is there
When you don't feel all that rare
Remember, I AM

“Remember”
Remember where you came from.
Remember where you have been.
Remember whom you have encountered.
Remember whom you have known,
Remember joyous moments.
Remember sorrow too.
Remember all the lessons.
Remember the lessons you forgot.
Remember your Father.
Remember your Mentor.
Remember Mother Earth.
Remember the universe.
Remember to remember.
Remember gratitude.
Remember to be humble.
Remember your heart.
Remember always to love.

A Dying Brain
Do you recall how I was once your fire –?
And we, a regal cloud of unity
Meandering through the closing blues of night,
Commanding stars to glitter;
Dawn to blush?
Your answer comes in ever-blanking stares:
A wall that blocks the know,
Damping down the glow that used to emanate
From clear and lucid eyes.
They've lost the will to recognise.
But hear! We are fifty years together –
And once we writhed in pleasure –
Drowning in emotion,
That which was our prime.
You don't recall.
You only lie as vegetation
Scattered on the ground:
A living mound of flesh,
Devoid of any neural mesh
To let you say 'I'm sound.'
Don't worry Dear,
For I'm aware with memory!
I'll tell you how we were.
We have our right of history!
If you could just concur.

Remember I Was Vapour
Theres nothing here but us
Theres nothing here but us
Remember, I was vapour
Remember, I was just like you
Remember, I was liquid
Remember, I was someone too
Remember, I need others
Remember, I need oxygen
Remember, I need lovers
Remember, I need to forget
Chorus
Remember, I am human
Remember, I feel just like you
Remember, I had reasons
Remember, I had friends like you
Remember, I grow tired
Remember, I could end all this
Remember, I have memories
Remember, I need to forget

Remember
Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.

A Walk Down My Memory Lane
Remember...
The day we wed.
Remember...
How we snuggled in bed.
Remember...
Walking in the oceans' sand,
Remember...
I'm in a hostile land.
Remember...
The ring, you're first surprise.
Remember...
My happy, green eyes.
Remember...
How I used to smile.
Remember...
Its been a long trial.
Remember...
My devotion.
Remember...
All my emotion.
Remember...
Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Remember...
To be open and giving.
Remember...
Our old birch tree.
Remember...
Remember me!
Remember...
The hot tub bath.
Remember...
Walking on the forest path..
Remember...
Your wedding gown.
Remember...
The love we found.
Remember...
When the war has passed.
Remember...
Our love will forever last.

Life Lesson
Listen to all
Listen to none
But remember this thing
You are the one who realize
Learn everything
Learn nothing
But remember this thing
You are the one who understand
Go everywhere
Go nowhere
But remember this thing
You are the one who search
Believe the hard one
Believe the easy one
But remember this thing
You are the one who follow
Think the worst
Think the finest
But remember this thing
You are the one who decide
Read what’s written
Read what’s hidden
But remember this thing
You are the one who feel
See the dark
See the light
But remember this thing
You are the one who watch
Dream the ordinary
Dream the impossible
But remember this thing
You are the one who hope
Try the best
Try the rest
But remember this thing
You are the one who fight
Say it straight
Say it carefully
But remember this thing
You are the one who mean it
Love you care
Love you don’t
But remember this thing
You are the one who give
Live the truth
Live the lie
But remember this thing
You are the one who grow
Do what you desire
Do what’s been ordered
But remember this thing
You are the one who responsible
Touch it rough
Touch it smooth
But remember this thing
You are the one who keep

They don't understand
They don't understand,
What its like to be me.
They don't understand,
Why school is hard for me.
They don't understand,
Why I'm so skinny.
They don't understand,
Why I have no friends.
They don't understand,
What I need.
They don't understand,
Why I lie.
They don't understand,
Why life is hard.
They don't understand,
What life is like for me.
They don't understand,
Why I hurt.
They don't understand,
Why I have fears.
They don't understand,
Why I'm different.
I don't understand,
Why they don't like me.
I don't understand,
Why they don't except me.
I don't understand,
What they say.
I don't understand,
Why they don't undersatnd,
Me...

You Must Please Remember
A small boy, big ideas
You must please remember
A long road, with no turn-off
Oh, you must remember
Caught in your headlights
Like a frightened animal
You must remember
Someone cries twice nightly
Of course, I do remember
Someone cries and you think quite rightly so
But you refuse to remember
Caught in your headlights
Like a frightened animal
Oh, you must remember
Oh ...
Remember, remember
Oh ...
Remember, remember
Low-lights and long nights
I try hard to not remember
And you - too beautiful
I cant look
Ive done so very many stupid things
Its too late (remember)
Oh ...
Oh ...
Remember, remember
Oh ...
Remember, remember
Oh ...
Oh, remember
Oh ...
Remember, oh ...
Oh ...
Oh, remember
Oh ...
Remember, oh
Oh ...
Oh, remember, oh
Oh ...
Remember, oh
Oh ...
Oh, remember, oh
Oh ...
Remember, oh

I Rememer, .
I Remember, ..
I Remember, seeing cops take you away.
I Remember, it was just the 3 of us.
I Remember, going to see you.
I Remember, talking to you ALL the time.
I Remember, telling you ' I love you.'
I Remember saying, ' Daddy, i miss you.'
I Remember, when you packed your bags.
I Remember you, holding your new born child.
I Remember, when you left me.
I Remember when, i told you i hated you.
I Remember, when i met HIM.
I Remember, when HE called me HIS daughter.
I Remember, HE took your place.
I Remember when, I told HIM ' Dad, i love you.'
I Remember now, im not YOUR daughter, ..
IM HIS.

Do You Remember Any of It? I Do
i remember when i met you
i remember when i fell in love with you
i remember when you said 'i love you'
i remember when i said it back
i remember what we had planed
i remember how perfect we were
i remember the late phone calls
i remember the songs you sang me
i remember when everything turned up side down
i remember the endless nights of tears
i remember wishing things were back to the way they were
i remember how you hurt me
i remember feeling like i was nothing to you
i remember waiting to hear from you again
i remember your last words to me
i remember they were ' i dont know if i love you anymore'
i remember feeling like i just died
i remember thinking you died
i remember the pain
do you remember any of it? i do

The Saddest Song
Only two more days, until your birthday
Yesterday was mine
You'll be turning five
I know what it's like, growing up without your father in your life
So I pretend, I'm doing all I can
And I hope someday you'll find it in your heart
To understand
Why I'm not around
And forgive me for not being in your life
I remember waiting
For you to come
Remember waiting
For you to call
Remember waiting there to find nothing at all
I remember waiting
For you to come
Remember waiting
For you to call
Waiting there to find nothing at all
maybe someday
you really get to know me
not just the letters read to you
I pray I get the chance
To make it up to you
We got a lot of catching up to do
So I pretend, I'm doing all I can
And hope someday you'll find it in your heart
To understand
Why I'm not around
And forgive me for not being in your life
I remember waiting
For you to come
Remember waiting
For you to call
Remember waiting there to find nothing at all
I remember waiting
For you to come
Remember waiting
For you to call
Waiting there to find nothing at all
Forgive me!
I'm so sorry!
I will make it up to you....

Do You Remember
Couldnt have been more than a day over three
Tried to do and be everything that I saw on tv
That wont work now like it did work back then
But then it was easier to imagine for me
We never had to care which party would win
Would the fighting go on, would it ever end?
Yeah, yeah
And I know rock n roll was the safest way to be
When we were free, so young and free
And we didnt have a care in the world
We were just too young to understand, at all
And if you feel what Im feelin
Then you remember
1 - tell me do you remember when
Everything in life was so much better then
Tell me do you remember when
Do you remember?
Do you, do you remember?
We never had to save for the rainy day
Just enjoying this time in our lives company
Surely we never needed to think about the time
Because we were free (then we were free)
So young and free
And we didnt have a care in the world
And we were just too young to understand, at all
Ooh, and since you feel what Im feelin
I know you remember
Repeat 1 w/ad-libs to fade

Remember When..
remember when i would cry
remember when you would just pass by
remember when you left
remember when i was blessed
remember when you left me
remember my whole family
remember your doughters and your sons
remember that they are not the only ones
remember all the trauma you caused
remember when our paths were crossed
remember when you wanted to say good bye
my world shattered because you were to me a nice mom.
i dont think you will remember this
because this might seem like nonsense.
