Order is a necessary condition for anything the human mind is to understand.

Just Dropped In
To see what condition my condition was in)
(mickey newbury)
(yeah, yeah, oh-yeah, what condition my condition was in)
I woke up this mornin with the sundown shinin in
I found my mind in a brown paper bag within
I tripped on a cloud and fell-a eight miles high
I tore my mind on a jagged sky
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in
(yeah, yeah, oh-yeah, what condition my condition was in)
I pushed my soul in a deep dark hole and then I followed it in
I watched myself crawlin out as I was a-crawlin in
I got up so tight I couldnt unwind
I saw so much I broke my mind
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in
(yeah, yeah, oh-yeah, what condition my condition was in)
Someone painted april fool in big black letters on a dead end sign
I had my foot on the gas as I left the road and blew out my mind
Eight miles outta memphis and I got no spare
Eight miles straight up downtown somewhere
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in
I said I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in
Yeah yeah oh-yeah

Condition Critical
Oh the tension's mounting
The pressure starts to show
All the men in haunting
Please don't let me go
(Don't go)
Try to free my body
(Don't go)
Try to strap me down
(Don't go)
These'll never break me
(Don't go)
Free wheel to look at me
Condition critical
I'm feeling physical
Condition critical
Now I'm really cynical
The bells they are ringing
Or is it in my head
My nerves numb understanding
I'm falling out of bed
(Don't go)
So call it paranoia
(Don't go)
I don't see it that way
(Let's go)
You say I adore ya
(Hell no)
We're gonna rock they way
Condition critical
I'm feeling physical
Condition critical
Now I'm really cynical
Ooh ooh
Whips and chains
Don't feel no pain
What's so wrong
I think I'm going out of my head
Over heels
I can't feel
No pain, only pleasure
Get me out
Take me home
Can't you see my condition
Woo-woo-woo

The faculty of imagination is the great spring of human activity, and the principle source of human improvement. As it delights in presenting to the mind scenes and characters more perfect than those which we are acquainted with, it prevents us from ever being completely satisfied without present condition, or with our past attainments, and engages us continually in the pursuit of some untried enjoyment, or of some ideal excellence. Destroy this faculty, and the condition of man will become as stationary as that of the brutes.

Your Innocence
Your innocence brings order to us,
It reminds us of our heaven,
This religion is pure and crimeless.
Then the men who led the men of cruelness
Define what life can mean with conclusion,
Your innocence brings order to us.
Let the future tell us the solution to the crisis,
Giving us order without computation,
This religion is pure and crimeless.
My production of money is from cunningness,
Forcing the actions from complication,
Your innocence brings order to us.
May we understand each other as generous,
Forming policies of kindness like a fountain,
This religion is pure and crimeless.
The condition we experience from riches is joyous,
Finding a happy home with the fortune,
This religion is pure and crimeless,
Your innocence brings order to us.

No society has been able to abolish human sadness, no political system can deliver us from the pain of living, from our fear of death, our thirst for the absolute. It is the human condition that directs the social condition, not vice versa.

The writers are writing human beings, and they're writing about the human condition and how difficult it is to function in that condition. I think it's one of the charms of the show, the idea of redemption and working towards becoming better people, for everybody involved.

Untrammeled
Human dreams,
like the stars
in a dark sky,
hang there burning...
beyond reach.
Perhaps, already long gone.
We are want to ask of life,
Why?
But life does not answer.
Perhaps, it has no ears;
or no voice.
Perhaps, we are the
voice.
Perhaps, we
are not listening.
Tis the one true condition;
to be human is to understand,
not everything is obtainable...
Alone.
This may just be the only thing
that surprises God.
To be human,
is to fail... often.
Which ofcourse means,
that we keep trying.
One wonders...
Why?

Your Heart With Your Mind and Faith Is Your Doctor!
Some say they would share this if they could.
They can not.
And wouldn't...
IF they could.
Some say they can feel yours!
They can not.
And wouldn't...
IF they could.
Some say they understand.
And if there is anything they can do,
To let them know!
Sincerety like this is difficult to dismiss.
But pain is personalized.
And not quite felt,
Like the one who is feeling it!
Some may empathize, cry and hold your hand.
Rub it.
Or give a hug to pat a back!
It's a fact of your condition.
You are there without a physician.
However,
When your pain comes...
Attaching your heart, body and mind to it?
There is no question who it belongs to!
But what more can a human being being human do?
Some say they would share this if they could.
They can not.
And wouldn't...
IF they could.
Some say they can feel yours!
They can not.
And wouldn't...
IF they could.
Some say they understand.
And if there is anything they can do,
To let them know!
Sincerety like this is difficult to dismiss.
But pain is personalized.
And not quite felt,
Like the one who is feeling it!
And when you are feeling yours...
You know it can not be felt,
Like it has you feeling it!
And somehow you know,
It is there not to be shared!
No matter who, what and how it is perceived.
Only you know 'why' pain feels like it does!
It is yours and it has been received.
And only you can create that feeling to make it heal!
You know it is there and that reality has no appeal.
Your heart with your mind and faith is your doctor!
Your heart with your mind and faith is your doctor!
Your heart with your mind and faith is your doctor!
Faith is your doctor!
Faith is your doctor!
Faith is your doctor!

First, I do not sit down at my desk to put into verse something that is already clear in my mind. If it were clear in my mind, I should have no incentive or need to write about it. We do not write in order to be understood; we write in order to understand.

Resurrection
speaking metaphysically...
if you've never carried a cross,
or wore a self-imposed crown of thorns,
you cannot experience resurrection!
the life we're trained from birth to live,
on a see-me, feed-me premise,
is a form of death,
aka, a type of hell!
in order to redeem ourselves,
to validate the experience of the human condition,
all that is body, the outer body,
the body that sucks and grinds,
has to die.
we have to let go of the concept
of freedom in order to be free.
the image has to be shattered,
in order to find the truth...
in the cold dark night of time,
we can either have fire,
or a picture of fire.
the picture is useless!
the cross - the picture!
the crown of thorns - our attachment.
.....death,
........rebirth!

The Thoughts Unsaid (A screamo song)
You don't have to say it it's already a scar
You don't have to hear in your mind or your soul
Because these are: THESE ARE
The thoughts unsaid
The thoughts in all our
The thoughts that are (high voice)
In our head in our head!
This is the global addiction
This is the human condition
This is the global addiction
This is the human condition
Chorus
Give me the rush, make me feel alive
Gimme the rush, make me feel alive
Gimme the rush as I slowly die
Deaden my pain
Drum solo (3 seconds)
Deaden my pain
Drums + Electric guitar (3 seconds different)
Deaden my pain... With a greater pain!
Heal my heart with a bigger scar
Cause I like the way it hurts, (shouting) IT'S HOW WE ALL ARE
This is the global addiction x 2
This is the human condition x 2
Cause our actions prove our real thoughts, THE THOUGHTS UNSAID
Repeat chorus
(We don't want a cure
We don't want to be pure) x3
Shouting: We need a savior but we forsook Him (in one word increments)

I don’t know whether this world has a meaning that transcends it. But I know that I cannot know that meaning and that it is impossible for me just now to know it. What can a meaning outside my condition mean to me? I can understand only in human terms. What I touch, what resists me — that I understand. And these two certainties — my appetite for the absolute and for unity and the impossibility of reducing this world to a rational and reasonable principle — I also know that I cannot reconcile them. What other truth can I admit without lying, without bringing in a hope I lack and which means nothing within the limits of my conditions?

Poem To A Dying Man
I see you in the synagogue almost each night now-
I have seen so many in the condition you are in now-
The frailty, the thinness, the cough,
The intense concentration required to do the smallest thing,
The great difficulty in small motion-
Like most of them you are a good man
Worked hard all your life
Raised a family
Knew dislocation and suffering
Struggled for survival
Made a new life after the old world collapsed-
A good man-
I see you now
My heart goes out to you-
It’s the human condition after all
Living and dying-
And who am I to do anything about it?
I exchange a few words with you
To not leave you alone with the night
We go our separate ways -
My heart goes out to you
But what am I to do?
This is the human condition
And will happen in one way or other
To all of us-
I hate it-
I hate to see your suffering
But this is what we are
And I can do nothing about it.
A few words in the night
And then gone.

An Intruder
You like those worlds of order
A seaming order you don’t understand
That look like systems or something
Seaming you don’t understand
Deeply rooted in rules
The rules you don’t understand
You like to touch them I know
I know and I understand
Because your hair is wild
You like to blow them away
Scatter their neatness into the air
Because your eyes are restless
You like to open them up
And see what lies lie therein
Because your hands are free
You like to build them again
Whatever the peril design
Because you never had roots
You like to plant them in sunrooms
With lots of windows and halls
You are euthanasia sleeping on the patchworks
Perhaps you should leave those worlds alone

Drunk On Grieving
we get so drunk
in our own personal grieving:
lost loves, lost family members,
lost jobs, lost houses, lost dreams....
we forget thet grieving
is a part of the human condition....
and most important, we
are a part of the human condition!
that which hurts one hurts all.
healing is a joint endeavor!

Sin Of The City
Coat check girl up in happyland
Has a violent row with a cuban man
Julio leaves in a drunken rage -
Comes back with the gasoline
The club has no fire exit
The club only had one door
Only five people came out alive
The sin is that 89 died
89 dead! 89 dead! 89 dead! 89 dead!
The sin is that a year and a half before
The fire chiefs out and hes raising cain
Brands happyland hazzard close down but no.
No-one ever paid him no mind..
No-one ever paid him no mind..
No-one ever paid him no mind..
No-one ever paid him no mind..
No-one ever paid him no mind..
City living, heavy trouble
City living rough
We are given angry heart
But angers not enough
(chorus)
Daily news reviews of the landlords life
Found six thousand code ciolations light.
The city has more a hundred thousand wars
All for one of forbes four hundred whores.
Just one fire cracker on a big bondfire
Of self serving penny pinching wiseguy style.
Never allowing for the human condition. (hayyyeah)
Never allowing for the human condition. (hayyyeah)
Never allowing for the numen condition.
The sin is that these guys survive.
(chorus) (chorus)
-
The sin of the city yehh (chorus)
Stop killing your people now.
Stop wasting your people now. (chorus)
Your jacking your people off
Sin of the city, yehh (chorus)
Stop killing youre people how.
Youre wasting youre people yeahh. (chorus)

Never Will You Ever Understand It
Never will you understand it.
Why things in my heart wont leave.
You will never understand it.
Never will you ever understand it.
Never will you understand it.
Why I express little empathy.
You will never understand it.
Never will you ever understand it.
My mind has grown too agitated and annoyed.
My emotions tied in knots,
Have long dropped as my topic.
I have a peace within,
I'm hoping will never end.
Or come to the point,
I must defend.
Oh...
You will never understand it.
Never will you ever understand it.

Less Than A Human
Don't order me to sit
when I need to stand
don't order me to listen
when I need to say something
don't force me to follow you
when your way is wrong.
Yes,
you may be in a higher position
than I am
yes,
you may be earning higher salary
than I do
but it does not mean
you can treat me less
than a human.
Don't...
don't...
don't treat me less
than a human!
