Quick Fix
Don't need no doctor, don't need no pills
Nothing it gives me's gonna cure my ills
I've got it bad baby and that ain't no lie
There ain't no vaccine for what I've got
Your kind of poison it don't come in a shot
It's just a cravin' baby that I can't deny
I've been tearin' up the town slammin' whiskey down
Ain't nothing but the real thing gonna do...no
There ain't no quick fix for you.
Babe...Lawd...There ain't no quick fix
You drive me crazy baby with those eyes
When you walked in the room you hit me broadside
Its a little past midnight
How blue can you get?
No matter how I try to drink this county dry
There really ain't no substitute....no
I need a quick fix for you
There ain't no easy answer
There ain't no miracle cure
I told the doctor what I needed
He said you better just run to her
Don't need no doctor, don't need no pills
Nothing it gives me gonna cure my ills
Well, no matter how I try to drink this county dry
There really ain't no substitute...no.
There ain't no quick fix for you
There ain't no quick fix.

Strange Magic
Youre sailing softly through the sun
In a broken stone age dawn.
You fly so high.
I get a strange magic,
Oh, what a strange magic,
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic,
Got a strange magic.
Youre walking meadows in my mind,
Making waves across my time,
Oh no, oh no.
I get a strange magic,
Oh, what a strange magic,
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic,
Got a strange magic.
Oh, Im never gonna be the same again,
Now Ive seen the way its got to end,
Sweet dream, sweet dream.
Strange magic,
Oh, what a strange magic,
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic,
Got a strange magic.
Its magic, its magic, its magic.
Strange magic,
Oh, what a strange magic,
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic.
Strange magic strange magic
Oh, what a strange magic strange magic
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic.
Strange magic strange magic
Oh, what a strange magic strange magic
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic,
Got a strange magic,
You know I got a strange magic,
Yeah, I got a strange magic,
Oo-o-o-oo, strange magic. (fade)

If I Had The Magic
IF I HAD the MAGIC
Melvin Banggollay
If I had the magic
In my old gentle palm
I'll offer to heal the sick
free of any alms
and I'll end every tragic
lost of lives to calm
agony of the weak
with prayers and psalm.
If I had the magic
Upon my pen's charm
I'll write many comics
to create an alarm
mankind needs medics
to heal all ills that harm
with love so strategic
to make all human palm
caring and full of magic
in building peaceful barn
In sharing goodwill to men.

Priests and doctors are privileged.
There is a tag to wipe your sin.
There is a tag to earn you bliss.
There is a tag to cure your ills.
There is a tag to keep off ills.
Priests and doctors get their fees.
You pay them without guarantees.

All the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill the history books, all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen merely from a lack of skill at dancing.
Purple Pills
Purple pills
cure all ills.
Keep them close
to mop up spills.
Fractured temple,
Cursed mind,
Not unstable,
Not unkind,
Not instructive.
Understood,
Purple pills
for greater good.
Take them first,
Take them last,
Take them always,
Take them fast.
Lesser evil,
Greater score.
Purple pills
will give you more.
Purple pills
cure all ills.
Take them quickly,
fill our tills.
We’re not apart
You and I by fate
Now fell apart,
With rendezvous
Becoming rare or never.
If I needed you
Would you come to me
For to soothe my pain?
May not. You are tied.
If you needed me
I would come to you
All along from anywhere,
Even risking my pride,
For to soothe your pain.
Still if I needed you
Would you send me
At least kind words
For to dress my wounds?
Doubtful! You’re afraid.
If you needed me
I would come to you,
Even braving the storm,
For to dress your wounds.
Still if I needed you
Would you call me,
The least, with queries,
For to cure my ills.
Perhaps! You are shy.
If you needed me
I would come to you,
Even staking my life,
For to cure your ills.
For not to come to me,
To soothe me, to dress me
Or to cure me is not
To have no love, no heart
Or no soul for me.
I know pretty, dear.
You are the cause;
You are the balm;
For my every spasm.
Tear the fear, my dear.

History
So far away...
history now
The magic...
burns beyond
the ashes on the ground
The magic,
on the streets
in our eyes,
through our lives...
so far away.
The decades flip
as pages to
a short book
The days were run down
like waves before
a clipper ship
the Flying Cloud
Even though...the cargo hold...the essence...
spices, silks, exotic teas
magic, excitement, ecstasy
Like a river I cross in Montana
the bittersweet
Bitterroot.

Theme From Mission Magic
Do you believe, you believe in magic, cos I believe, I believe that I do
Yes, I can see, I believe that its magic
If your mission is magic, your love will shine thru
Do you believe, you believe in magic, cos I believe, I believe that I do
Yes, I can see, I believe that its magic
If your mission is magic, your love will shine true
If theres one thing that the world needs, its a magic singing song
And Ill teach it to the whole world and make them sing along
Love is magic, its so easy, and its not hard to do
cos everybody, wants somebody, to give a little magic to
Do you believe, you believe in magic, cos I believe, I believe that I do
Yes, I can see, I believe that its magic
If your mission is magic, your love will shine true
Ive seem so many, unhappy people, reaching out in vain
You got the power, to shower, love like summer rain
Love is magic, its so easy, and its not hard to do
cos everybody, wants somebody, to give a little magic to
Do you believe, you believe in magic, cos I believe, I believe that I do
Yes, I can see, I believe that its magic
If your mission is magic, your love will shine true
Do you believe, you believe in magic, cos I believe, I believe that I do
Yes, I can see, I believe that its magic
If your mission is magic, your love will shine true
If your mission is magic, your love will shine true
If your mission is magic, your love will shine true

When The Magic Is Gone
when the magician is gone
(hence the magic goes with him)
when the magic is gone
it is easy
leave, it is not your show
they will close the room
and it will be dark
there will be no one there
it is simple,
why don't we buy another ticket
and be back
tomorrow night?
you're not available?
me too.
when the magic is gone
let it be.
it is that easy.
face reality.

Show Tune II
That's the long and short of it
now you know
how I've been waiting all these years
where I'm coming from
that's the long and short of it.
That's the long and short of it
now you see
just how hot hot jazz was
how it turned about, my bookcase
that's the long and short of it.
That's the long and short of it
now you know
that my arrest record's
not my best record
that's the long and short of it.
That's the long and short of it
now you see
how the Past's like a love
you can neither leave nor live
that's the long and short of it
That's the long and short of it
now you know
it was no gun in my pocket
it was a rocket
that's the long and short of it.
That's the long and short of it
and you're wond'ring dear
how I kept so pure
hull, it was easy
that's the long and short of it.
That's the long and short of it
now you see
so bounce your head
into bed
that's the long and short of it.
That's the long and short of it
read the blues
in these tattoos
make a song of it
that's the short and long of it.
How I wish
there was a bridge-
then I could burn it;
or the train
of a refrain
then I could board it
but there isn't
no there isn't, so...

I Know That Its Magic
Im amazed at things you, you do it all with ease
I smile while everything you do, drives me to my knees
cos I know that its magic, and I know that its magic
Yes, I know that its magic, in everything you try to do
Many times I see ahead, Ill have to make a stand
Maybe I can call on you, I know youd understand
cos I know that its magic, and I know that its magic
Yes, I know that its magic, in everything you try to do
cos I know that its magic, and I know that its magic
Yes, I know that its magic, in everything you try to do
cos I know that its magic, and I know that its magic
Yes, I know that its magic, and I know that its magic

Living With The Big C
Living with the big C
is a paradox of life and death,
the sword of Damocles
held above your head.
You search for treatment
grasping at any cure
you can find
to set it in remission.
The more you grasp
for the magic cure
the more your life
ebbs farther away.
Still you hope with prayer
one day in the near future
the cure you’re looking for
will eventually be found.

There is no history of mankind, there are only many histories of all kinds of aspects of human life. And one of these is the history of political power. This is elevated into the history of the world.

A Kind Of Magic
Words and music by roger taylor
Its a kind of magic
Its a kind of magic
A kind of magic
One dream one soul one prize one goal
One golden glance of what should be
Its a kind of magic
One shaft of light that shows the way
No mortal man can win this day
Its a kind of magic
The bell that rings inside your mind
Is challenging the doors of time
Its a kind of magic
The waiting seems eternity
The day will dawn of sanity
Is this a kind of magic
Its a kind of magic
There can be only one
This rage that lasts a thousand years
Will soon be done
This flame that burns inside of me
Im here in secret harmonies
Its a kind of magic
The bell that rings inside your mind
Is challenging the doors of time
Its a kind of magic
Its a kind of magic
The rage that lasts a thousand years
Will soon be will soon be
Will soon be done
This is a kind of magic
There can be only one
This rage that lasts a thousand years
Will soon be done-done
Magic - its a kind of magic
Its a kind of magic
Magic magic magic magic
Ha ha ha its magic
Its a kind of magic

To feel our ills is one thing, but to cure them is another.
Physical
i know how busy you are
how stressed is every nerve
in your flesh
i say hello and you complain
about a lifestyle that you never choose
the work of a lifetime
service to God and mankind
outstanding woman
in the field of finding the cure
to human ills,
you blurt to all these weariness
at first i cannot believe it
you demanding outright sex inside your car
which i think is very unlikely of your stature
a woman known for her moral reservations
admired for her religious restraints
but here you are
wanting to through everything out of the window
i pity you and i do not refuse to serve
the goddess of humanity
it is crazy i keep telling myself silently
but this is reality with you
i kiss your hair
you suck everything that i have only for myself.

Magic
Magic is a word
that conjures up things in our mind,
all sorts of magician tricks.
Magic is much more than that,
more that being deceived,
just look around you
and see all the magic there is around you
for everyone to enjoy and see.
The waking of a flower
as the dawn creeps across the sky.
The first sound of a new born babe
as it gives out its first cry.
These are not magician tricks,
but the magic of our world
and if we look more closely
the world is filled with magic
for all to see.

Big In Japan
Winters cityside
Crystal bits of snowflakes all around my head and in the wind
I had no illusions
That Id ever find a glimps of summers heatwaves in your eyes
You did what you did to me, now its history I see
Heres my comeback on the road again
Things will happen while they can
I will wait here for my man tonight, its easy when your big in japan
When your big in japan, tonight
Big in japan, be tight, big in japan where the eastern seas so blue
Big in japan, alright, pay, then Ill sleep by your side
Things are easy when youre big in japan, when youre big in japan
Neon on my naked skin
Passing silhouettes of strange illuminated mannequins
Shall I stay here at the zoo
Or shall I go and change my point of view for other ugly scenes
You did what you did to me, now its history I see...
Things will happen while they can
I will wait here for my man tonight, its easy when youre big in japan
