Why can't we build orphanages next to homes for the elderly? If someone were sitting in a rocker, it wouldn't be long before a kid will be in his lap.

Im A Rocker

The greatest times, Ive ever known
Theyre locked inside o me
And carved out of stone
Ive broken hearts
Made people sing
Ive drove a million miles
Ive done everything
Im a rocker, oh oh
Do as I feel as I say
Im a rocker, oh oh
And no one can take that away
Bring on the night
Thats when I live
I come alive inside
Give all I can give
I live each day
Like its my last
I live for rock and roll
I never look back
Im a rocker, oh oh
Do as I feel as I say
Im a rocker, oh oh
And no one can take that away
Im a rocker
And Im always revvin up
Im a rocker
I can never get enough
Im a rocker
Its something in my blood
Im a rocker
Wouldnt change it even if I could
Im a rocker, oh oh
Do as I feel as I say
Im a rocker, oh oh
And no one can take that away

Outlaw Man

I came out of the fifties
now that's when men were men
I am like the red red rooster,
always couping hens
I guess that I'm a rarity
some call a dying breed
I am a macho bronco stallion
call me Mr Seed
I'm a rocker
I'm a rocker
I'm a rolling stone
I'm a rocker
I'm a rocker
I'm one big bone
I'm a rocker
I'm a rocker
Motorcycle man
love don't fit in a can
When you're talking Elvis,
well I saw him yesterday
He touched me on the shoulder
asked me if he could play
I buttered up my ducktail,
put on my long black drape
I polished up my Boneville
to make those girlies gape
I'm a rocker
I'm a rocker
I'm a rolling stone
I'm a rocker
I'm a rocker
I'm one big bone
I'm a rocker
I'm a rocker
Motorcycle man
love don't fit in a can
I am one of lifes miracles
I have my fate in my hands
I see my colours before me
I am the outlaw man
the outlaw man
Solo
Jimmy Dean was riding next to me and Steve McQueen
And we're burning up the street now
And we're looking pretty mean
I'm not living in the past
and I'm not history
I'm here to set the records straight,
unlock this mystery
I'm a rocker
I'm a rocker
I'm a rolling stone
I'm a rocker
I'm a rocker
I'm one big bone
I'm a rocker
I'm a rocker
Motorcycle man
love don't fit in a can
I am one of lifes miracles
I have my fate in my hands
I see my colours before me
I am the outlaw man
I am one of lifes miracles
I have my fate in my hands
I see my colours before me
I am the outlaw man
I'm the outlaw man

Im A Rocker

I got a 007 watch and its a one and only
Its got a i-spy beeper that tells me when youre lonely
I got a batmobile so I can reach ya in a fast shake
When your worlds in crisis of an impendin heartbreak
Now dont you call james bond or secret agent man
Cause they cant do it, like I can
Im a rocker, baby, Im a rocker - every day
Im a rocker, baby, Im a rocker
If youre hanging from a cliff or youre tied to the tracks, girl
Columbo split and you cant find kojak
True love is broken and your tears are fallin faster
Youre sufferin from a pain in your heart
Or some other natural disaster
Now I dont care what kind of shape youre in
If they put up a roadblock, Ill parachute in
Im a rocker, baby, Im a rocker - Im in love
Im a rocker, baby, Im a rocker - every day
Im a rocker, baby, Im a rocker - with you
So you fell for some jerk who was tall, dark and handsome
Then he kidnapped your heart and now hes holdin it for ransom
Well, like a mission impossible Im gonna go and get it back
You know I woulda taken better care of it, baby, than that
Sometimes I get so hot girl, well, I cant talk
But when Im with you I cool off , and I walk
Im a rocker, baby, Im a rocker, and I talk
Im a rocker, baby, Im a rocker, every day
Im a rocker, baby, Im a rocker, every day

Rocker Girl

I went downtown just to see
If there was a rocker boy made for me.
Tight pants and long brown permed hair.
Preferably zebra striped underwear.
Hes gonna rock my world.
Be his rocker girl.
Gonna be his rocker girl.
I love the way that he gives all the guys shiners
cause it sort of matches my blue eyeliner.
Hes so tough, hes so cute, hes a regular dream.
He looks so good in his acid washed denim jeans.
Hes gonna rock my world
Be his rocker girl.
He will know all the good movies.
Hell know just how to rock it to me.
Hell be so romantic and that
Hell know every word to spinal tap.
And Ill be his rocker girl... 2 3 4.
If he was russian, he would be the kremlin.
If he was a rock star, he would be led zeppelin.
If he was a month he would be oh say may or june.
If he was underwear he would be fruit of the loom.
Hes gonna rock my world
Be his rocker girl.
Gonna be his rocker girl.
Gonna be his rocker girl.

Pachyderm

O' my elderly world, am I getting too bold?
The ones who go first were the elderly ones
Leaving spawns of unfertile aftermaths
Leaving my elderly world high and dry

O' my elderly world, am I getting out of control?
Doing everything that crosses my mind
Like there is no tomorrow
Like there are no rules

O' my elderly world, am I worthy of being alive?
When all my tendency contributes are turmoils
When my currupted mind only grieves others'
Like I own this elderly world...

O' my elderly world, are the rulers doing well?
When all they can offer are blood, tears and lives taken
When the rich becomes richer
When the poor becomes poorer
Like they own this elderly world...

O' my elderly world, do I still have the time?
Am always envious of time
Am always running out of time
Hope I won't be here when your time runs out
O' my elderly world...

For A Rocker

Open the door, baby turn on the light
Were gonna have a party tonight
For a rocker
For a rocker
I know its late and youre already down
You aint ready for people around
Im gonna tell you something I found out
Whatever you think your life is about
Whatever life may hold in store
Things will happen that you wont be ready for
Ive got a shirt so unbelievably bright
Im gonna dig it out and wear it tonight
For a rocker
For a rocker
For a rocker
For a rocker
Dont have to change, dont have to be sweet
Gonna be too many people to possibly meet
Dont have to feed em, they dont eat
Theyve got their power supplies in the soles of their feet
They exist for one thing, and one thing only
To escape living the lives of the lonely
For a friend of mine, from the neighborhood
Moving down the line, after tonight hell be gone for good
Here comes ricky, danny, and doerge
They got peties number and theyre looking at me
Russell and bobby setting up the drums
Gonna pound on till the landlord comes
Dont want to argue, I dont want to fight
But there will definitely be a party tonight
For a rocker
For a rocker
For a rocker
For a rocker
till the morning comes, till the car arrives
till we kill the drums, till we lose our lives
Hey jenny, tell peggy sue
Were gonna do the only thing you can do
For a rocker
For a rocker
For a rocker
For a rocker
Theres a party tonight!
Theres a party tonight!
Theres a party tonight!
Theres a party tonight!

Sitting At The Wheel

I can hear the music playing
I can hear the word that youre saying
I can see the lovelife in your eyes
Whats the use in looking for an answer
I might find out
It could be a disaster
Hold on to your own time
Dont let go
Dont let go
Im sitting at the wheel
Watching the river roll roll on by
Sitting at the wheel
Dont let the river run dry
I can see your face on a piece of tomorrow
Ill hang my dream on a road I can follow
I gotta touch the warmth of your love
Not gonna take a chance a
Change of direction
Gonna keep on rolling till I find the connection
Hold on to your lifeline
Dont let
Dont let go
Sitting at the wheel
Watching the river roll roll on by
Sitting at the wheel
Dont let the river run dry
Im sitting at
Im sitting at the wheel
Like a voyeur standing at the edge of time
Looking for a reason
Thats got no rhyme
Love took a corner
Shot off for a mile
Rock on --- rocker
I can hear the music playing
I can hear the word that youre saying
I can see the lovelife in your eyes
Aint no use in looking for an answer
I might find out
It could be a disaster
Hold on to your own time
Dont let go
Dont let go
Im sitting at the wheel
Watching the river rock and roll on by
Sitting at the wheel
I am just sitting
Im just sitting at the wheel
Im just sitting at the wheel
Watching the river roll by
Rock and roll by
Sitting at the wheel
I am just sitting
Sitting at the wheel
If youre sitting at the wheel
Watch the rocker roll by

Nurture the Elderly

All the elderly are all alone,
All alone in nursing homes.
Sleeping in beds with drugs
blurrying their heads.
Now this is our state of affairs right now,
before we had elderly helping out.
They lived to be healthy and take care of kids,
now we hide them away and make them forget.
Forget who they are,
for we labeled them thus far.
As drains on our society and economy,
not giving them respect or dignity.
Alzheimer's has a spiritual cause,
no family ties is the result of it all.
Now we need to give Elderly’s
a way to fit in,
to give them meaning to life
not make them a “has been”.
They could work at Daycares,
help with the children
because they have so much to share.
It’s a shame for one day we could be in their shoes,
we better change our ways, we have too much to lose.

A Gala Celebration

Sound the trumpets, beat the drums
for across the Atlantic
Five Felicians have come.
"What is their mission?"
You gently say:
"Why have they come to our USA?" To Polonia, Wisconsin
then o'er the USA.
The Felicians were asked
to lead the way.
By setting up schools and Day-Care Centers
Homes for the Aged
For many to enter. From the Atlantic to the Pacific
You'll find them today,
Orphanages, schools
and homes for the stray.
In an effort to provide
A better Life's way. Let's celebrate then in great Jubilee
their 125th Anniversary
Reaching out to the Polish Immigrants
in responding to Papal consent
At Father Dabrowski's request, they were lent.

Kalahari Weavers

The weaver birds build homes together
Great thatch domes
They enter and leave
Circling in their thousands
Nests embracing great thorn trees
And no wisp or stalk is wasted

The weaver birds build commune homes
That stately sway in the breeze of dawn
Freezing under the midday blaze
Defiant in the cruellest evening storm

Tireless desert artisans
Peerless design skills
Resolved to live together by
Savannah stripped bare of life
And grasses of which few survive

If I had a week, a shade
And water-bottle filled
I would stay to watch them build.

If This Was Not For You

If this was not for you,
I wouldn't take the time.
I'm sure I can find other things to do.
If this was not for you.

If this was not for you,
I don't think I'd be sitting with this patience.
Wanting to achieve what I believe,
You would approve.
If this was not for you,
I would not bother...
To listen to my heart like this.

It has been too long I've wanted someone like you.
Someone with finesse and attitude.
Direct and yet aggressive.
Optimistically objective...
Without getting upset.
With the very best of me...
There for you 'if' you do!

If this was not for you,
I wouldn't take the time.
And you wouldn't know this,
Is something from my heart!
Something that is mine to give...
And deliver to you as is!

I'm sure I can find other things to do.
If this was not for you....
The moment this was started.
You have to know that's true.
My feelings for you would have long departed.
From a passing fantasy into the emptiness,
Of forgotten thoughts.

If this was not for you,
You would not make time...
Stand still in my mind!
Nor will I seek to find it

Please Respect The Elderly!

Please respect the elderly!
Learn patience day-by-day...
A little love from you and me
Can go a long, long way!
God's love towards Mankind goes on
For all eternity
And when His children must pass on,
He treats them tenderly...

Please respect the elderly!
No matter, fit or frail...
A soothing word or pleasantry,
Is hardly known to fail.
Lord Jesus died for one and all...
He died for young and old...
While young at heart we may walk tall,
In time, we're not so bold...

Please respect the elderly!
Is that too much to ask?
Our actions prove our courtesy,
Regardless of the task...
God hears the prayers of everyone,
No matter, rich or poor.
If we do things that must be done,
God couldn't ask for more...

It Happens in the B.R. Families

'Twas on the shores that round our coast
From Deal to Newport lie
That I roused from sleep in a huddled heap
An elderly wealthy guy.

His hair was graying, his hair was long,
And graying and long was he;
And I heard this grouch on the shore avouch,
In a singular jazzless key:

"Oh, I am a cook and a waitress trim
And a maid of the second floor,
And a strong chauffeur and a housekeeper,
And the man who tends the door!"

And he shook his fists and he tore his hair,
And he started to frisk and play,
Till I couldn't help thinking the man had been drinking,
So I said (in the Gilbert way):

"Oh, elderly man, I don't know much
Of the ways of societee,
But I'll eat my friend if I comprehend
However you can be

"At once a cook and a waitress trim
And the maid of the second floor,
And a strong chauffeur and a housekeeper,
And the man who tends the door."

Then he smooths his hair with a nervous air,
And a gulp in his throat he swallows,
And that elderly guy he then lets fly
Substantially as follows:

"We had a house down Newport way,
And we led a simple life;
There was only I," said the elderly guy,
And my daughter and my wife.

"And of course the cook and a waitress trim
And the maid of the second floor,
And a strong chauffeur and a housekeeper,
And the man who tends the door."

"One day the cook she up and left,
She up and left us flat.
She was getting a hundred and ten a mon-
Th, but she couldn't work for that.

"And the waitress trim was her bosom friend,
And she wouldn't stay no more;
And our strong chauffeur eloped with her
Who was the maid of the second floor.

"And we couldn't get no other help,
So I had to cook and wait.
It was quite absurd," wept the elderly bird.
"I deserve a better fate.

"And I drove the car and I made the beds
Till the housekeeper up and quit;
And the man at the door found that a bore,
Which is why I am, to wit:

"At once a cook and a waitress trim
And the maid of the second floor,
And a strong chauffeur and a housekeeper,
And the man who tends the door."

Words you wouldn't Sing

You wouldn't mean it if you had
only said it.
You sat wondering with curiosity
Why I would call it my favorite song
Because you could not see that it was
My dream
I longed for those words,
Then I drowned in emotions,
When you never did it.
When you wouldn't whisper gently
in my ear.
You wouldn't tell me all was 'Okay'
So I continue sitting here
Fear the distance
Listening to happiness and dance
Someone else telling me the words you wouldn't
'I Hope you Dance, and never fear the mountains in the distance'

Wishing I'd Been Spartacus

Wouldn't it have been something
To have been a Gladiator in ancient Rome
Instead of being stuck in a call centre
Having to talk to irate people on the phone?
Wouldn't it have been really exciting
To have been a cowboy in the Wild West
Instead of working in an office
Advising people on how to invest?
Wouldn't it have been exhilarating
To have been a pirate on the seven seas
Instead of being employed in a shop
Stacking shelves with tins of soup and peas?
Wouldn't it have been truly dangerous
To have been a gangster like Al Capone
instead of having to cold call people
Asking them if they need a loan?
And wouldn't it have been totally awesome
To have been an Apache Red Indian
Instead of sitting here daydreaming thinking,
I wonder what it's like to be an Alien?
