We need to drive like hell and get to the hills before the winter sets in.

Drive All Over Town
Two dollar color pictures from a photo booth
Dirty stepped on lying out on the floor of their room
Faces fell long in the half light
He looks all wrong but thats her alright
Look at him smiling full of teeth
Clenched tight
He knew the one time with the army captain
He got one that whole deal before it happened
Said its okay I knew exactly what you meant
When you said you were an accident
But when its 3am he wonders where in the hell she went
And hell drive all over town
Drive all over town
And hell drive all over town
Drive all over town
Until he tracks her down
Hell drive all over town

Warmth in Winter
Church bells chime in a darker clime
When winter sets her chill upon me,
Storms that blow with ice and snow
Make birds migrate to a fairer state
Temperatures decreasing contantly.
But Christmastime is a radiant time
As winter sets bright lights upon me;
Each cottage aglow with mistletoe
Each hill and dale a fairy-tale
And peaceful hearts surrounding me.
Poetic lines are historic rhymes
When winter sets her calm upon me
Hymns of Bethlehem well we know
The story of Jesus will never fail
To warm the very soul within me.

Drive In, Drive Out
Say, all you sisters and brothers
All matters if I divide us so
Our own political words they ponder us so...
This side, that side
Right, wrong... driving me back
Drive in drive out, Im leaving
I come back again
Im leaving...
Hell has its own place, we carry on....
Well, everyone sit inside, watch whats going on
Well, as you will drive in, and drive us apart.
Dont trust words that delight us or
Get into my heart... yeah....
Ohh ah ah leah ho... I run away, run away
Run away guy, run away guy,
Run out, run out...
You and me sister, sometimes I feel you figure it all out.
You and me sister, oh, weve got it right.
Our differences, differences, mother and in cold life,
Why must I steadfast, stand by what I think is right?
Oh drive in drive out, Im leaving
Drive in drive out, Ill come back again
Drive in drive out, Im leaving
Hell has a place for everyone, its here: alone.
Oh, the devil hes not hiding underground, hes waiting by your front door
Well, tv men take you away, rock up your world
Too many wont leave you alone, drive you alone
Man, when Im going back again, light in some peace....yeah...

A winter sets
A winter sets
~
Winter sets but not in my thoughts
The full ripening sun still stands
Making the bud of my heart open
To the warmth of a love felt
It is her name that the birds sing
Sweetly in the air about me
It is her name woven so deep
That the earth beneath me is holding
Sowing this love into my soul
That I am amongst it all completely
No season is withstanding
Yet this love, this thought remain
As bright and beautiful and flowering
As I could ever imagine
Winter slowly sets into the world
I watch nature slowly yield
Yet it remains breathless
And my heart in fullest bloom
Holds the sun within its sight
And I hear her name, I hear her name

Till winter
The light stays till the sun sets.
The night stays till the moon sets.
The drive stays till the ennui sets in
The pride stays till the loneliness sets in.

A Winter Message
A flake of snow in flurry thro’ the air
Had landed as a kiss upon my cheek:
A secret message, just for me to share;
To take to heart but never dare to speak
About or presuppose to other eyes
Your open feelings – distant though they are.
And so, upon your lips, my OWN surprise:
A flake of snow returned from me afar.

Drive-in
Ooo wah
Ooo wah
Everytime I have a date theres only one place to go
Thats to the drive in
Its such a groovy place to talk and maybe watch a show
Down at the drive in
Forget about the plot, itll do very well
But make sure you see enough so youre prepared to tell
About the drive in
(ooo wah)
I love the drive in
(we love the drive in, we love the drive in)
If the windows get fogged youll have to take a breath
(oooooooo waah oooo)
Down at the drive in
(wah wah ooooooo)
Or the cat dressed in white will scare you both to death
Down at the drive in
A big buttered popcorn and an extra large coke
A few chili dogs and man Im goin broke
Down at the drive in
(ooo wah)
Yeah at the drive in
(we love the drive in, we love the drive in)
Dont sneak your buddies in the trunk cause they might get caught
By the drive in
(wah wah wah ooooooo)
And theyd look kinda stupid gettin chased through the lot
(wah ooooooo)
Around the drive in
If you say you watch the movie youre a couple o liars
And remember only you can prevent forest fires
Down at the drive in
(ooo wah)
I love the drive in
(we love the drive in, we love the drive in)
Down at the drive in
(ooo wah)
I love the drive in
(we love the drive in, we love the drive in)
Down at the drive in
(ooo wah)
I love the drive in
(we love the drive in, we love the drive in)

The Hills That Surround A City
There are hills that surround a city,
I do not know if everyone loves these hills as I do,
From a child to an adult, I traveled the roads of these hills,
Through all seasons these hills are inviting, to a city dweller,
There are hills that surround a city,
In summer these hills can be dangerous,
Bush fires, the enemy of all,
But a friend at times,
Trees and plants re-shoot after bush fires,
Foe to animals and residents,
Cool nights, bring summer breezes to these hills,
Autumn colours surround the hills,
And bring the city dweller to visit,
Colours line the ever winding roadways,
Magical colours along the roadways,
Breathtaking trees, so tall,
Falling leaves line the winding roadways,
Around the hills that surround a city,
Log fires creating smoke from chimneys, dot the landscapes,
During winter,
Winter rains flushes the creeks and rivers,
Throughout the hills that surround a city,
Frosts, fog create an old world atmosphere,
Don't forget your scarf, beanie's, or gloves,
It is cold in these hills,
Spring, the hills are coming alive,
Magical gardens, on display,
Watch for the colourful birds, that come alive,
There is still a chill in the air,
Grab a bit of sunshine, feel the warmth,
There is another world in these hills,
A historical world, for those who wish to visit,
The Adelaide hills surround the city,
Many abandon the city, for the day,
Or a weekend retreat,
The many winding roads amongst the Adelaide hills,
Will take you many places,
I have traveled these roads all my life,
Now I am finding many new roads to travel,
Around these hills that surround a city.

Toboggan
1 Down from the hills and over the snow
2 Swift as a meteor's flash we go,
3 Toboggan! Toboggan! Toboggan!
4 Down from the hills with our senses lost,
5 Jealous of cheeks that are kissed by the frost,
6 Toboggan! Toboggan! Toboggan!
7 With snow piled high on housetop and hill,
8 O'er frozen rivulet, river, and rill,
9 Clad in her jacket of sealskin and fur,
10 Down from the hills I'm sliding with her,
11 Toboggan! Toboggan! Toboggan!
12 Down from the hills, what an awful speed!
13 As if on the back of a frightened steed,
14 Toboggan! Toboggan! Toboggan!
15 Down from the hills at the rise of the moon,
16 Merrily singing the toboggan tune,
17 "Toboggan! Toboggan! Toboggan!"
18 Down from the hills like an arrow we fly,
19 Or a comet that whizzes along through the sky;
20 Down from the hills! Oh, isn't it grand!
21 Clasping your best winter girl by the hand,
22 Toboggan! Toboggan! Toboggan!
23 Down from the hills and both growing old,
24 Down from the hills we are nearing the fold:
25 Toboggan! Toboggan! Toboggan!
26 Close to the homestead we hear the ring
27 Of children's voices that cheerily sing,
28 "Toboggan! Toboggan! Toboggan!"
29 Down from the hills and we hear the chime
30 Of bells that are ringing out Old Father Time;
31 Down from the hills we are riding away,
32 Nearing the life with its endless day;
33 Toboggan! Toboggan! Toboggan!

Hell and Half-Hell
Hell became a game in mid-winter,
Where are we now?
Hell exhaled last summer and first summer,
Why are we allowed?
Hell was told not to be Heaven in spring,
When would that be?
Hell is half of all Pain in the year through,
And since when?

Express Your Conundra
Breathe, call me, talk, speak, and yell
Express yourself, quit giving me hell
Whisper, hum, sing, complain
And shock me; your words will not sink in vain
Through the pipes of my ears
Tell me about it, talk to me about your fears
Teach me; inform me, converse with me
Please make my life easier and my nights easy.
You drive me crazy when you don’t express yourself
A world without words and signs is senseless
Describe the landscapes, the skies; do your best
Okay, you are free to begin your sentences with f
You can say it, express yourself, and talk to me
Mum the words, say something, anything
Use your tongue to beautify the hills and the sea
Blow me kisses in winter, summer and spring.
And never be afraid to make mistakes
Humans were born to err
And to have their situations corrected.

Days Filled With Colour
Days fill with colour
As the dawn breaks on another day
Clear skys, not a cloud in the sky
Vibrant blue skys
Warmth fills the air from a winter sun
A gleaming shape floats by
Colours catch my eye
Parrots all the colours of a rainbow
Chatting all day about whatever
Maybe it is laughter
Happiness
Freedom in the winter skys
Parrots all the colours of a rainbow
Vibrant blue skys, fill my day
Colours of winter in the country
Hills filled with colour
Green hills soon to be colourful crops
Winter storms colour the hills with ice
Warm air from a winter sun
Colours your day
I see things differently now
No city skys filled with doom and gloom
No buildings cramped into one corner
Open spaces, trees, all filled with colour
Fill my day with happiness
Now I take the time to listen to nature
My heart is crammed with excitement
Everything now a new experience
Colourful parrots
Vibrant blue skys
The warmth of the sun

Say What
Say what, make out
Say what, make out
Its a crazy situation
Keeps my body hot
I want infatuation
Something you aint got
This fire inside
A love so bright
Say what
The hell you think youve done
Drive me higher and higher
Make out (make out)
When nothings going on
Oh youre such a liar
I got no future
Whats the use in keeping tight
Always wrapped up in yourself
Oh youre alright
Why should I fall
No love at all
Say what
The hell you think youve done
Drive me higher and higher
Make out (make out)
When nothings going on
Oh youre such a liar
Mama said youre as good as dead
If you dont polish up yourself
(love dont come either)
Say what
Love, love, love
(love dont come either)
Make out
Whyd you try to fool me
I see, got no heart
Threw me tried to rue me
Tore my head apart
See your lover move on
See right from wrong
Say what
The hell you think youve done
Drive me higher and higher
Make out (make out)
When nothings going on
Oh youre such a liar
Mama said youre as good as dead
If you dont polish up yourself
Say what
The hell you think youve done
Drive me higher and higher
Make out (make out)
When nothings going on
Oh youre such a liar
Say what
The hell you think youve done
Drive me higher and higher
Make out (make out)
When nothings going on
Oh youre such a liar

Up in the Morning Early
Cauld blaws the wind frae east to west,
The drift is driving sairly;
Sae loud shrill`s I hear the blast,
I`m sure it`s winters fairly.
CHORUS:Up in the morning`s no for me,
Up in the mornings early;
When a` the hills are cover`d wi` snaw,
I`m sure it`s winter fairly.
The birds sit chittering on the the thorn,
A` day they fare but sparely;
And lang`s the night frae e`en to morn,
I`m sure it`s winter fairly.
CHORUS: Up in the morning`s no for me,
Up in the mornings early;
When a` the hills are cover`d wi` snaw,
I`m sure it`s winter fairly.

There Is A Day In April
There is a day in April when autumn
truly sets in, when fallen leaves
smells like mould and loam,
when trees are stripped skeleton.
When windless the sun is still somewhat hot,
and there are only touches of clouds
here and there hanging like fingerprints
in an open clear sky.
Its then that the fear of death,
the fear of the winter’s helplessness,
the coming cold sets in,
even before it truly begins.

Cold, cold is my bed in winter!
Cold, cold is my bed in winter! But for my
Lord, who will embrace me passionately?
Cold, cold is my bed in winter!
Today, dear, this harsh winter closes in
And scares the frail ones like me.
My frozen little body sets our being ablaze!
But for my love, who will slake me?
Cold, cold is my bed in winter!
But for my love, who will embrace me passionately?
Every single moment of this night is aeon to me!
How futile is my empty bed,
I thank heavens that I met Narsaiyya's Lord,
For I attained the Nectar of Immortality!
Cold, cold is my bed in winter!
But for my Lord, who will embrace me passionately?

The Mouth Of Hell
Of a blind life within the brain,
Of sold chains of our shackles about the feet;
Foe nown i do see the true old times.
Of the bitter tears against a brow,
Of my grievous wounds;
Sad as it is,
It is like the glories of the winter moon.
I am back from the mouth of hell,
Where the fairest hady laid her head upon my lap;
'You are the tallest of them all',
She said it because of love.
With the sadness of my heart like,
A dream from the frozen hills;
So i said to her, 'Am i your dearest'?
With my handsomeness still in years increased.
Tell me if you love me,
Like eight summers old with a lover;
Of a sudden cry out of hell to sing to eternity,
Like the inventor of harmonies that swing the muse.
'I am her dearest',
That is what i heard;
Of hopes and dreams to come out of hell!
My dearest, my nearest;
You are like a butterfly with sweet love but,
I am now out of your hell.
Like words across a ridge,
The pen is mightier than the sword;
Like a voluble answer,
The tongue is more evil than you thought.
It will be a token for her,
Paying for her in the valley of death;
Yes, love had led many into the mouth of hell.
My grief and solitude have broken me,
But i will still bless you all that i have loved;
Like the fountains of sweet water in the sea,
Have you seen her of late?
Love had led many to death,
Hate had led many to war,
But i am now out of this hell.

The Other Half
Over the hills, lies a new beginning
Over the hills
Over the hills, there is a way I know it
Over the hills
You can't bring all the gloom
Your heart is frayed and so empty
You glorify the future
Living in a different world than me
The journey ends in death
You are giving up so easily
You are the other half of me
Over the hills [4x]
We are drifting apart
Chilled to the marrow, cause you don't want to go
Cause we've got a different wish at heart
The amulet guides us to the other side
When I go down it's you who'll bleed
I'm not scared to die, as long as I'm with you
You are the other half of me
Over the hills, lies a new beginning
Over the hills
Over the hills, there's a way I know it
Over the hills

I am sick of this road
Another horrid drive
300 miles, etched in my mind
Burnt into my eyes
Tree after tree, damn this monotony
Road staggers through the hills
Lost in woods
Eastern Ohio in fall
So uninteresting
Like an old photograph in a textbook
It never changes
Fields of wheat
Fields of grass
Fields of exhaustion in my life
I am not doing this for you anymore
It is sick
Disgusted driver loses his focus
No fairness in the visits
So unbalanced in quantity
Road ends in hell for me
I am here for a single sunflower among weeds
Cuts have been scribed on my arms by the thorns
Bright flower that cannot be picked
Must remain in the hills
I am sick of this road
