Biker Like An Icon
There was a girl who loved a biker
She used to follow him across america
But the biker didnt like her.
She didnt care, she still persisted
Though her brother said she was twisted
And the family said they wouldnt miss her
Anyway.
She loved the biker like an icon
Gazing at his picture everyday.
She loved the biker like an icon
Slowly watching precious water drip away.
She did her best to fix a meeting
She pulled it off one night in hollywood
When he met her he couldnt let her get away.
He didnt ask for her permission
He took advantage of her position
But he was always her ambitiion
Anyway.
She loved the biker like an icon
Gazing at his picture everyday.
She loved the biker like an icon
Slowly watching precious water drip away.
The family tried so hard to find her
They showed her picture across america.
But no trace of her sweet face
Was ever found.
She loved the biker like an icon
Gazing at his picture everyday.
She loved the biker like an icon
Slowly watching precious water drip away.

Be My Icon
(lebon, rhodes, cuccurullo)
Ill follow you
Ill wait for you
You know theres no escape from me
Youre more than wallpaper
In my room
I write you letters
And bring you gifts
Im going through all your trash
I love you so much
I keep your cigarette butts
Now is the time to come out
Come out of the shadows
No need to be scared
Youre gonna be so happy
I built you a shrine
Now you can be my icon
Im out on the edge
Theres no way back inside
All my friends are gone
They didnt understand me
It makes so much sense
Its no coincidence
Just you and I alone here
And I need you
Oh
How many hours have I stared at my face
In the mirror
I get worried sometimes that the image will shatter
No need to be scared
Youre gonna be so happy
I built you a shrine
Now you can be my icon
No need to be
Scared
Now you can
Be my icon
I know this is real
Believe it
We belong together
What ever happens
Youre gonna be with me
Forever
Be my icon
You will be my icon
Be my icon
You will be my icon

An organization which claims to be working for the needs of a community - as SNCC does - must work to provide that community with a position of strength from which to make its voice heard. This is the significance of black power beyond the slogan.

Messages Lost In A Lonely Night
Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep.
Is the sound of my nights cell phone messages.
As my lover finally comes within cell phone range.
My lover will find nine separate cell phone messages.
As she comes within range of this night’s pleading paging.
All those messages build to ask; compel her to come to me.
Message one was subtle and said
“Enjoy dancing and a few drinks tonight. My love,
If you need me I am only a phone call away.”
It had a picture icon of enjoying drinks.
Message two said “Where is my little froggy voice? ”
Because a week ago you were ill my love.
It had the picture icon of a happy party.
Because you were out on the town partying.
Message three sadly said “You should have visited me
tonight my love.” It had the picture icon of a sad face.
Message four said simply “I miss you!
Why did you not come to me my love? ”
It had the picture icon of the broken hearted lover.
Message five said “Put another log on the fire and come! ”
It had the picture icon of a dog warm and snugly at home.
Message six said “It is 12 o’clock Cinderella
quick run to me my love! ”
It had the picture icon of the magic of meeting a rabbit;
coming out of a magician’s hat. An excellent trick.
Message seven said “Why did you not come to me? ”
It had the picture icon, of a cute cuddly, teddy bear.
Message eight said “Your nightie is under
the pillow (in its place) beside me my love.”
It had the picture icon of a man happily winking.
Message nine disappointed said “You did not
come because you do not love me enough.
True love always finds a way.” It had the picture icon
of a cloudy rainy day. Because my love remained away.

School-Community
School is a community which surrounds you most
A place where teachers seem somewhat like ghosts
Believing that it’s a chance for new friends
But the community also introduces new ends
You believe that you yourself can never be true
To reside into acting into someone that isn't you
The school community soon becoming fake
Inside, many people's hearts begin to ache
We believe in not showing our true selves
The community telling to dig deep in ourselves
Slowly we start believing that freedom is forbidden
But does school truly want ourselves to remain hidden?
Friendships can lead to you being cut down
We sometimes wish this community wasn't around
But then we realise not to defy the real world
And that the real truth is being unfurled
This community teaches us to stand on our own feet
And without this test we shall still remain incomplete
The teachings is something that no one seems to share
In the real world these are teachings we'll need out there
School is a place where there are things we must learn
Otherwise the community outside will cause us to return
The community outside is the place we are yearning
But this community is the place we are still learning…

Unfortunately in the gay community, oftentimes people that get the most attention are the most flamboyant and loud. And that's not to dismiss them, because drag queens and, you know, leather motorcycle women, they have their place in the gay community as well. But they're not - they don't define the gay community by any stretch of the imagination.

Election Aftermath
1. ANTE-ELECTIONS
Now, a cove the name of Blabb, a politician,
He's a haughty sort o' high pan-jan-dee-ram;
An' he holds a very dignified position
As the member for the districk where I am.
There is times he seems to faintly reckernise me
Jist a flutter of his flipper when we meet;
Yet, other times, his actions fair surprise me,
When with a very icy eye he eyes me,
Jist as if he never knoo me in the street.
But who am I to seek his hand to grab?
So I simply sez, 'Good mornin', Mr Blabb.'
An' passes on.
'An' I hopes you're doin' nicely, Mr Blabb.'
2. ELECTIONS
Now, a cove the name of Blabb, a politician,
Is a pal o' mine, an' most perlite, at that.
He's a candidate again for th eposition
As a member for the districk where I'm at.
He will grab me hand an' pump it when I meet him,
An' he pats me on the back an' calls me Joe
Seems sort of anxious-like for me to grete him
An' as a fond an' faithful friend to treat him.
He's the nicest sort o' neighbour you could know,
But who am I to listen to his gab?
So I simply sez, 'I'll think it over, Blabb,'
An' passes on.
'I'll see wot I can do about it, Blabb.'
3. POST-ELECTIONS
Now, a coot the name of Blabb, a politician,
He's a Public Figger, an' a Man of note;
For he recently rewon the high position
As the member of the districk where I vote.
An', altho' we come to be close cobbers lately,
Monday last he hardly knoo me when I spoke;
An' he didn't sort o' seem to want to, greatly;
But he rose his hand an' nodded most sedately,
He's an awful, absent-minded sort o' bloke.
But who am I, whose ways is drear an' drab?
So I simply sez, 'Good evenin', Mr Blabb,'
An' passes on.
'An' I hopes you ain't forgot me, Mr Blabb.
