Al and Tommy and I sharing the biggest laugh because it was predicted by everything we did in the first three or four records in my career. It was predicted in the grooves that we would be here sometime later on down the road.

Visionary Nicolaas Pieter Johannes Van Rensburg
Some people
view visionary Van Rensburg similar
to Nostradamus,
but most do not even know
about this remarkable, humble
and religious man.
During the second Anglo-Boer war
he was to the Boers
a true prophet from God
and both commandant-generals Christiaan De Wet
and Koos De La Rey as well as president Steyn
consulted him for advice.
They were generals
who humiliated the British
time and time again
with daring tactics
and who were never captured.
His mother taught him
about the Bible
from being small
and as a child
while he herded sheep,
he took the Bible along.
He made more than seven hundred
predictions of which
some he could interpret correctly
and the meaning of others
was beyond him.
His warnings to Boer commandos
came true literary
and he predicted
Boer farmsteads burning
and women and children
being killed.
Long in advance
he predicted the First World War,
the flue epidemic
and even went to Lichtenburg
to warn general De La Rey
of his impending death.
Some writers believe
that the events in Zimbabwe,
the fall of European governments,
and the war between Islam
and the United States
have being predicted by him.
Even Koeberg nuclear power station
blowing up near Cape Town,
which he predicted
may be impending,
if the current maintenance of it
where faulty workmanship
lead to a turbine blowing,
is considered.
Neither can his predictions
of a South African civil war
or a coming worldwide war
be taken lightly.

Tommy Keep Your Head Down
Tommy is a soldier in the army
Tommy thinks all the “Top Brass” are barmy
Tommy is out on patrol in Iraq
Tommy hears gun-fire, he’s under attack
“Tommy keep your head down” a voice did say
Tommy saw the “Insurgents” run away
Tommy felt a burning pain in his head
Tommy fell to the ground, and Tommy bled
Tommy did not wish to die in the sand
Tommy had a wife,5 kids, all unplanned
Tommy has a widow and 5 orphans
Tommy has donated all his organs
Tommy was a soldier in the army
Tommy knows all the “Top Brass” are barmy________________

Autumn gold
on tv - the weather - guy
predicted enthusiastically
a lot of sun and a blue sky
beautiful warm late summer days
during the upcoming autumn break
he did not know
for sure
he did not lie
probably
the ticking on the window
sings a different song
the clouds are sharing
nothing but rain
I have to go out
before the rain stops
into that wet world
into the cold
would it help
if I remembered
would it be different
if I could touch
the autumnleaves
made of sunny gold

4: 00 A.m.
a little cat
is crying in the rain
in the middle of the road
not far from where
i am seated
this cat is thrown
away by its mother
because it has
no milk to
feed it
and its mother is
thrown away by
the owner
because
there is no more
food in the kitchen
to feed
it
there is no more
free meal to speak of
these days
and feeding cats
is not an
exception to this new rule
meanwhile the rain
has become stronger
the typhoon has come
as predicted
i can hear the
little cat no more
tomorrow
perhaps the road
will be empty
and clean

Old Records Never Die
(ian hunter)
Sometimes you realize
That there is an end to life.
Yesterday I heard them say
A heros blown away.
And its so hard to lose
Someone whos close to you.
Oh me, I did not see
The danger every day.
But musics something in the air,
So he can play it anywhere.
Old records never die.
Get youre healing from a song,
Just when everything goes wrong.
Play it right
Through the night
Till morning brings you light.
And if some folk laugh at you
Let em all laugh they never knew.
Oh all those scenes, to me it seems
Some folk never dream.
? ? , I feel a force
Rebel with some other cause.
Old records never die.
Old records never die.
You can watch the waves roll by.
You can see it in their eyes.
Old records never die.
Old records never die.
You can watch the waves roll by.
? ?
Old records never die.
I can hear you
And I know why
Old records never die.
