All Over Your Face
When I see you, you smile as if everything is alright,
but I know your smile is just a mask for your hurt and sadness,
for the truth is written all over your face.
Behind your dark brown gleaming eyes I can see the tears you have cried.
It’s written all over your face.
I can even see behind your blush the anger wrinkles in your cheeks from you clinching your teeth. It’s written all over your face.
I can even see the hurt and disappointment you now carry in your soul.
It’s written all over your face.
I just want you to know my friend I’m there for you whenever you need a shoulder to cry on, an ear to vent in, and of course arms to hug you. I love and care for you and hope you can see that because it’s written all over my face.
Written In Sand
Your eyes are the color of the sea
You look my way and the waves
Wash over me
Your body shivers with the
Fading light
You say, baby, lets just make
It last tonight.
And when the morning comes
You take me by the hand
And say our love is written in sand
Written in sand
We hear the ocean roar
Were swept away on to some
Distant shore
You whisper secrets of the heart
They keep us close when the
World keeps us apart
Until tomorrow comes
Time is on our hands
Because this love is written in
Sand
Written in sand
Solo
Nothing lies between
A woman and a man
When their love is written in sand
When their love is written in sand
When their love is written in sand

It's written in here/Ovdje pise
It's written in here all that hurts
it's written in here all that laughs
it's written in here all that wants
it's written in here all that waits
it's written in here in every tear
it's written in here read beneath
or do not read at all
it's written in here butterflies in heart
it's written in here all dresses torn
it's written in here twilight and dawn
it's written in here clocks in the soul
it's written in here in every tear
it's written in here read beneath
or do not read at all
ovdje piše sve što boli
ovdje piše sve što se smije
ovdje piše sve što hoće
ovdje piše sve što čeka
ovdje piše u svakoj suzi
ovdje piše čitaj ispod
ili ne ćitaj uopšte
ovdje piše leptiri u srcu
ovdje piše rašivene halje
ovdje piše zore i sutoni
ovdje piše satovi u duši
ovdje piše u svakoj suzi
ovdje piše čitaj ispod
ili ne čitaj uopšte

Beware Words Written
words celebrating what is written
beware allure of beauty in words written
seek instead words thoughts not written
words not written thoughts not written
themes not written which need to be written
the importance of the unwritten demands writing
important world needs consciousness needs writing
urgent global necessity issues demands needs writing
actions resolutions policy change harmony restoration needs writing

Spoke To The Heart
many will read
few will comment
written words provoked
no response
in heart of emptiness
no answering echo chimed
perhaps these probing words
were not written to you
perhaps your faith
was still fledgling
unable to leave nest
to venture forth
upon world adventures
courage to take wing
was lacking
it was not your time
words never spoke
to your heart
perhaps they were not
written to you
perhaps you never
opened minds eye
perhaps you never will
perhaps this is not
your life purpose
perhaps to lead is
not written upon
enlightened soul
is not an aspiration
also born are those
who must follow
who must serve

Can A Poem Be Written
CAN A POEM BE WRITTEN
Can a Poem be written
In Anger Frustration Fear Disappointment?
Can it be written
In Failure?
Can a Poem be written
When no light shines
And the middle of the night is longer
Than life itself?
Can a Poem be written now
When old afraid sad angry foolish failure me
Cannot even dream?

Written In The Stars
All around everybody shouts
Their insides out, hear the laughing crowd
The wind blows cold, summers gone by
Wander on the boulevards
Up and down
Its written in the stars
Its written on the walls
You will defy my heart
Take my soul
This frame of my mind brings me here
Goes up in flames and fades away
Like the mirror sucked my face
From all its grace
Lost my faith, lost my sight
Eyes like ice
Ow!
Shes deeper than the sky
Shes made of gold
Shes like the rising sun
Its written in the stars
Its written on the walls
You will defy my heart
Take my soul
Faith, written in the stars
Faith, written on the stars
Face the change of life
Face the chains of love

I Have Written My Life Away-Most Of What I Have Written Is Already Lost
I HAVE WRITTEN MY LIFE AWAY- MOST OF WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN IS ALREADY LOST
I have written my life away-
Most of what I have written is already lost-
A portion of the work remains-
And who knows how long it will last?
I will try in the time left
To make it better –
But who knows
It may be like
Much of most things
Not worth keeping-
I have written my life away-
Thank God I had the time to do this.

Gratis Et Amore
for the poems that i have written
and which you read
by heart, i bless you with a prayer for luck
for another year
for the poems which i have not written yet,
i wish you a longer life, so you may read them
when they become finally written
for the poems i have in mind and which i will not write
i wish you patience i wish you some prayers
may these poems realize their worth
may they decide to become truths
with you i pray that God may be also kind
for those still unspoken
and may God bless your mind
may they open up like tight buds to become the flowers
of the world, the sun to warm them, the rain to shower them
may these poems live and linger
may they be like grass always unswerving to grow and cover everything
alive and loving.

Shakespeare Has Left The Stage
creativity insistent demands
constant favoured
singular lip service consummated
creativity denied
moves on muted
to other receptive
minds hearts lives
insistent themes must be espoused
that which should be written
should be written into being
that which must be written
must be written into eternity
muse is insistent mistress
great works must be written
Shakespeare has left the stage
who will take up gauntlet challenge

A Poem Can Be Written Anywhere, Anytime
A poem can be written anywhere, anytime-
A poem can be written too early in the morning
While waiting in Talpiot for ‘Rami Levi Supermarket’ to open-
It can be written in one’s head in a frozen Army barracks in Beit El
Or in a small room on Rav Berlin St on an old Smith- Corona
In the first happy years of one’s marriage-
It can be written for years from Haganah St. in French Hill
In the family years and the lonely ones
It can be written walking by the sea in Tel Aviv
With small children in hand-
It can be written on the same shore years later when one’s life has been broken
By Love’s desertion-
It can be written in old age on Rehov Shahal in Givat Mordechai
As one takes joy from the birth of one’s first grandchild-
A poem can be written anywhere anytime-
I have been writing my poems in Israel
For more than half a lifetime-
May those too
Who come after me
Read and Write Poetry here.

Bequeathing a Heart
Bequeath my heart unto a fable
That I may love and be loved
That the tales of my youth
May still ring true to some degree
I ask that I grow not old, alone
Embittered by each passing year
In the solitary gloom, forlorn
By the anguish of the unrequited heart
Yet to know the union of another
That I may become the tragedy of the unwriten
Unable to gift my heart in such a way
That I no longer able to love
That I am unable to be loved
Let those tales, those words once written
Prove not to be of a false hope
It is to all such fables I now ask of you
To love as it has been written
Bequeath my heart unto them

Had I Written Less
HAD I WRITTEN LESS
Had I written less
And had it been more perfect-
Had there been four or five poems
Worth remembering-
Even two-
Even one.-
Had I written less
Would I have known
The meaning and joy
A long life of writing has given?

Written In Stone
When we kiss that way
I search for words that
Might explain
How can a love go so deep
Girl, its in my blood
Itll always be a part of me
If we stay together
Or if we go our separate ways
I know... love will last forever
The sun may someday lose its light
The moon may not shine one night
Your heart will always have a home
It is written in stone - written
In stone
Seasons go by and minds
Have changed
But I will never doubt why i
Feel this way
It goes on so strong
Like a solid rock
Even when the moments gone
Nothing lasts forever
But one things sure to stay
The same
Our love... the love is getting better
The sun may someday lose its light
The moon may not shine one night
I know just how the story goes
It is written in stone - written
In stone
True love is timeless and
Unconditional
You dont need to read the writing
On the wall
I can see the future - happiness
Wont fade away
The sun is in the sky just like it
Was yesterday
Love will last forever
The sun may someday lose its light
The moon may not shine one night
Your heart will never be alone
It is written in stone - written
In stone
True love is timeless
It will grow through smiles
And sadness
Wont you walk with me
Our love, it will be forever
I know sometimes you might not
Believe it
But baby Ill do my best to show
You, let you see it
Time might not be so bad
I know well come out ahead
Love is timeless
Timeless and unconditional
You dont need to read the writing
On the wall
Its written in stone
Happiness wont fade away

This Poem Should Have Been Written Long Ago By Someone Else
This poem should have been written long ago by someone else
They should have said what needs to be said
Clearly and yet beautifully
They should have known what to do with their words and their intimations -
But instead I old I tired old I I with the I I I always I’ing
Have to write it again-
This poem should have been written by someone else
The way I was when I was young
But even then probably it should have been written by someone else
Younger happier stronger wiser more courageous able to give and inspire others to love life more and make it more good and more beautiful
A real poet a great poet should have written this poem
And then it would be one
Even I would try not to forget.
