Devil's Haircut

Something's wrong 'cause my mind is fading
And everywhere I look there's a dead end waiting
Temperature's dropping at the rotten oasis
Stealing kisses from the leperous faces

Heads are hanging from the garbage man trees
Mouthwash jukebox gasoline
Crystals are pointing at a poor man's pockets
Smiling eyes ripping out of his sockets

Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind

Love machines on the sympathy crutches
Discount orgies on the dropout buses
Hitching a ride with the bleeding noses
Coming to town with the brief case blues

Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind

Something's wrong 'cause my mind is fading
Ghetto-blasting disintegrating
Rock 'n' roll

Inspired by Issa - Chrysanthemum

out of the chrysanthemum
three inchworms doing
a glide dance

too bright a stage
for these inchworms' glide dance
the chrysanthemum

inspired by

carefully measured
by the inchworm...
chrysanthemum

Chrysanthemum

Yes I hate the way I feel and it makes no sense
Five months gone and all I got
Pretty pink flowers on my chain link fence
I dont like what it means
Cause I know theres more to come
I cant go home without
Chrysanthemum
I walk around lost and I dont know why
I dont see the faces or the places I should recognize
Its like that dream where it feels like home but it dont look right
Yes I will look everywhere tonight
I will not stop till I make things right
And I cant go home till I see the sun
I cant go home without
Chrysanthemum
No I cant go home without
Chrysanthemum

Bad Haircut Day

You go to the salon with great expectations
and come back home with a style
that you wouldn't be caught dead with
and instead of a great big smile,
you frown and wash that hair right out
and do what you can with it.
When you're done you look in the mirror
and really have to admit
that most beauticians are clueless
about what they have to do
to make you look like you.

Now most men don't have this problem.
They seem to be satisfied.
At least you never hear them complain
and you know they've never cried
over a haircut, a haircut?
That's probably because when they were a boy
no one ever said,
'Is that hair your pride and joy
or just what's on your head? '

My haircut

My haircut,
It was a misserable time,
To watch my hair go,
Snip, snip, snip,
It drifts away in a silence unknown,
To all who have known,
The misserable haircut,
I love my hair,
But it had to go,
like seeing something die,
But i could never really weep,
It is sad to say goodbye,
My hair will grow back,
But only to see it go again.

The man in chrysanthemum land

There's a brave little berry-brown man
At the opposite side of the earth;
Of the White, and the Black, and the Tan,
He's the smallest in compass and girth.
O! he's little, and lively, and Tan,
And he's showing the world what he's worth.
For his nation is born, and its birth
Is for hardihood, courage, and sand,
So you take off your cap
To the brave little Jap
Who fights for Chrysanthemum Land.

Near the house that the little man keeps,
There's a Bug-a-boo building its lair;
It prowls, and it growls, and it sleeps
At the foot of his tiny back stair.
But the little brown man never sleeps,
For the Brownie will battle the Bear--
He has soldiers and ships to command;
So take off you cap
To the brave little Jap
Who fights for Chrysanthemum Land.

Uncle Sam stands a-watching near by,
With his finger aside of his nose--
John Bull with a wink in his eye,
Looks round to see how the wind blows--
O! jolly old John, with his eye
Ever set on the East and its woes.
More than hoeing their own little rows
These wary old wags understand,
But they take off their caps
To the brave little Japs
Who fight for Chrysanthemum Land.

Now he's given us Geishas, and themes
For operas, stories, and plays,
His silks and his chinas are dreams,
And we copy his quaint little ways;
O! we look on his land in our dreams,
But his value we failed to appraise,
For he'll gather his laurels and bays--
His Cruisers and Columns are manned,
And we take off our caps
To the brave little Japs
Who fight for Chrysanthemum Land.

Angel is a white Shih Tzu with patterns of white and gold,
Angel also comes to the names of Ang, and Angie I am told.
Mrs. Gaylin is her proud owner along with her spouse,
Angel is really cute and quiet as a mouse.
Mrs. Gaylin said Angels needs a haircut soon,
Mrs. Gaylin will take her for a haircut maybe at noon.
Now Angel is a is a rescue dog Mrs. Gaylin also did say,
they adopted her on one sunny day.
Going for walks Angel does go,

Get Myself Arrested

I wear the same shoes as anyone
I get the same blues as everyone
So try and call me, Im immobile man, yes I am
Got a haircut, got a silver tooth, gonna get myself arrested
Got some friends in my bmw, tryin to get themselves arrested
I suck the same lines as anyone
I do the same time as anyone
Dont try and call me, Im immobile man, yes I am
Got a haircut, got a silver tooth, gonna get myself arrested
Got some friends in my bmw, tryin to get themselves arrested
He only grows for guys he knows and me
He only grows for guys he knows and me
Well alright
Dont try and call me Im immobile man
Dont try and call me Im immobile man, yes I am
Got a haircut, got a silver tooth, gonna get myself arrested
Got some friends in my bmw, tryin to get themselves arrested
Got no time for the selfish me and yous, tryin to get myself arrested

A Pantoum - What Flower Do I Want To Be?

What flower do i want to be?
I ask myself in garden of the world,
In front of it i humble contemplate,
Amazed by beautiness that lies in it.

I ask myself in garden of the world,
A rose with seductive suave fragrance i feel,
Amazed by beautiness that lies in it,
So romantic feelings the velvet rose petals awakes in me.

A rose with seductive suave fragrance i feel,
Or a chrysanthemum with charismatic perfume,
So romantic feelings the velvet rose petals awakes in me,
Such amazing pearl of autumn is the elegant chrysanthemum.

Or a chrysanthemum with charismatic perfume,
Or a tulip with perfect shapes and smooth lines,
Such amazing pearl of autumn is the elegant chrysanthemum,
Such a worthy tulip rising up like a pray towards the sun.

Or a tulip with perfect shapes and smooth lines,
Or another flowers with delicate design,
Such a worthy tulip rising up like a pray towards the sun,
So amazing flowers lies in front of me.

Or another flowers with delicate design,
Garden of the world is infinite,
Such amazing flowers lie in front of me,
From all of these beauties i wonder.

Garden of the world is infinite,
In front of it i humble contemplate,
From all of these beauties i wonder,
What flower do i want to be?

The Chrysanthemums in the Eastern Garden

The days of my youth left me long ago;
And now in their turn dwindle my years of prime.
With what thoughts of sadness and loneliness
I walk again in this cold, deserted place!
In the midst of the garden long I stand alone;
The sunshine, faint; the wind and dew chill.
The autumn lettuce is tangled and turned to seed;
The fair trees are blighted and withered away.
All that is left are a few chrysanthemum-flowers
That have newly opened beneath the wattled fence.
I had brought wine and meant to fill my cup,
When the sight of these made me stay my hand.
I remember, when I was young,
How easily my mood changed from sad to gay.
If I saw wine, no matter what season,
Before I drank it, my heart was already glad.
But now that age comes,
A moment of joy is harder and harder to get.
And always I fear that when I am quite old
The strongest liquor will leave me comfortless.
Therefore I ask you, late chrysanthemum-flower
At this sad season why do you bloom alone?
Though well I know that it was not for my sake,
Taught by you, for a while I will open my face.
