A Little Pig (Fun Poem 61)
A little pig went to market,
but no one wanted to buy him
so the farmer took him home
and started calling him Babe.
Babe was a herding pig
and learned to herd sheep.
Everyone looked amazed
at the sheepdog trials.
Babe walked away
with the first prize
and left many sheepdogs
with their mouths open.
Then came a movie producer
and saw the little pig.
He wrote a story
and Babe got the lead.
Now the little pig that went to market
is a big movie star.
Last I heard is he in line

Hollywood 1996
1996 was the year I was with Chucky so dear.
In L.A. watching Independence Day flick, which is like every other shtick.
It was the year Margaux Hemmingway committed suicide,
it was from depression she could not hide.
I also ate at the famous restaurant Spago's in Beverly Hills,
close to Wilshire Boulevard and it was a thrill.
I walked in wearing a short pink jump suite,
customers turned around because I was hot and cute.
Chucky was there with me without a care, he knew all of them stopped to stare.
Everyone was dressed in suites with a tie, they all looked the same, I don't know why.
Then movie Star's mansions we traveled to see, it was really fun taking pictures for vacation memories.
I also took workshops on filmmaking in the day, it was very interesting I have to say.
I saw Angelica Houston for the first time, I wrote a poem about her that really did rhyme.
I also bought a postcard for a movie starring Marilyn Monroe,
it was the movie Niagara where she became a star from this show.
Then at night we went to The Comedy Store,
Richard Pryor performed in a wheelchair his comedy routine,
He talked very dirty for his act was not very clean.
Now I will always remember this trip for it is etched in my mind,
Thank you Chucky for showing me a really good time.

They tried to make me a star, a leading man. Well, I'm not a star even though they thought I looked like one. I'm a character actor. When I've had the choice I've always opted for the character role. I'd rather be the pillar that holds up the star than the star himself.

I love TV. I know all the theme songs from the shows I watch. I'm not one of those who'd rather be a movie star. I prefer TV because of the rushed way of working-on a movie set, you sit around and wait and wait to do a scene because they're adjusting the lights.
