Gratitude is the least of virtues; ingratitude is the worst of vices.
Gratitude is the least of virtues, but ingratitude the worst of vices.
The grudge, meaningless
Though brooded, hatched, fed and cared
by the crow,
No koel shows any gratitude to its foster
mother,
For which no crow broods any grudge
against the koels.
Must you grudge one for ones ingratitude?

IT's Not As Painful
There's a nail in the bottom of my shoe.
But it's not as painful as losing you.
There's a splinter embedded in my skin.
But it's not as painful as the place I'm in.
There's a scar from cancer on my breast.
But it's not as troublesome as no rest.
There's a black cloud hanging over my head.
But it's not as dreary as my silent bed.
There's a line or two that's on my brow.
But they're only a reminder of you somehow.
There's an echo in the night I hear.
But it's just a memory of your voice in my ear.
There's an eyelash caught inside my eye
But it's not as painful as saying goodbye.
Pain is just a temporary thing.
But loss is a constant terrible thing.

Painful Solitude
Painful rejection
Your silence speaks volumes
Solitary dove flies alone,
Looking for a place to belong,
She is lost, heart full of pain
Will she ever be able to sing again?
Painful illness
My body agony
My mind endures
Painful isolation
Painful solitude
Painful loneliness

I Am Quiet In Gratitude To God
I am quiet in gratitude to God
Saved again
Near tears in tears
Grateful to God
And trying within
To let the Gratitude be everything
And forget for a time
The fear that will return again-
Quiet in Gratitude to God
And wanting that Gratitude to be everything.

The general cry is against ingratitude, but the complaint is misplaced, it should be against vanity; none but direct villains are capable of willful ingratitude; but almost everybody is capable of thinking he hath done more that another deserves, while the other thinks he hath received less than he deserves.

Qualifications for gratitude
To load off what is not required,
What is in excess or a burden,
What turned stale or left over,
Or what cannot be carried with
Will not account for gratitude.
What is given for a gain,
From fear or under duress
Also will not count for gratitude.
To bequeath at the end of life
Also does not earn gratitude.

Gratitude is our most direct line to God and the angels. If we take the time, no matter how crazy and troubled we feel, we can find something to be thankful for. The more we seek gratitude, the more reason the angels will give us for gratitude and joy to exist in our lives.

Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.

The Painful Choice
The times are many
In everyone's Life,
When we must decide
One thing or another....
Many are painless,
Some are painful,
But nevertheless,
A choice must be made....
How painful the choice is
To choose a person,
From two that love you;
Especially, when in different ways,
You love them both......

Be a conferrer.
Confer a favour; seek not a favour.
To confer means winning gratitude.
To win gratitude is superior
To showing gratitude for the favours.

Gratitiude
Good times gone but you missed them
What's gone wrong in your system
Things they bounce just like a spaulding
What'd you think you miss your calling
It's so free this kind of feeling
It's like life it's so appealing
When you got so much to say
It's called gratitude
Good times gone but you feed it
Hate's grown strong you feel you need it
Just one thing do you know
What you think that the world owes you
What's gonna set you free
Look inside and you'll see
When you got so much to say
It's called gratitude

A courtesy with a Black Bear
I met a bear on a city roadside accidentally.
'Don't get frightened that I know Men sing well
And I would like to hear a song from your deep voice.'
The bear told in a friendly manner.
I strum my old Ukulele and started singing;
' It's mighty dark for me to travel*
Oh! The beautiful bears are our friends
That reminds us in the book of History.
Hardly I carry this honeycomb with bees in my childhood old satchel.
I am sorry, it could be melt now as my poor heart is warm like an autumnal breeze.'
Bear showed me a wry smile and I realized that sniffed I am an Alcoholic.
I saw some bruises on my back and that could be the touch of bear's claws,
But it's not painful.
The scenario resembles my precious grandson's lost 'Teddy bear' in this cryptic homeward dream.
(*'Bill Monroe with Jim & Jesse')
[ I am not worthy to loosen the thongs of his sandals.-A humble prayer-]
I dedicate this poem to baby Adam and I am sure that one day you understand this unseen old silly man's dream.

Only for you
I can bear any insult
I can bear any misdeed
I can bear any oppression
I can bear the wounds of love or
Those of hatred
I can bear everything
But only for you God
Only for you.

It Is Not An Act
Perhaps I should not be so quick,
To express my lack of disappointment.
But my take it or leave it attitude,
Developed from realizing...
To no one do I have to prove anything!
My experiences lived,
Has taught me that.
And to express my gratitude for my blessings,
Comes to me naturally.
It is not an act.
I am here to do one thing,
And one thing only!
To be the best that I can be.
That's it.
