When I think about my life, I wonder if I will survive to see 25 or will I fall? Like my friends, they just keep dying. People round me always crying. In this place that I like to call my home. Life goes by really fast, and it seems that there are times when you're burying a lot of friends and family. And then there are times that feel really precious and everybody is doing okay. This is one of those times.

The Best Of Times
when we who were
privileged
think back over
the course of our lives
when we consider
our struggles
to gain an education
earn a living
we know
the best of times
were hard won
effort sustained
in affirmation
of honour integrity
that the favour
of our divine God
was a blessing
of heavy burden
yet our best times
were these times
were achieved moments
of quiet personal happiness

Family vs. Friends
Friends come in your life as ocean waves come and go.
You friends may be there one day and be gone the next.
Family is like blood, you need it to survive and it will always be there.
Family is there the day you are born and will be until the day you die.
Friends may be there for the short term, it is your family that will
remain by your side.
Always put your family first, friends should go second.
Family will be there to support you and catch you when you fall.
Friends may be good to talk to when you are feeling down,

Loving Power
Throughout the good times and the bad times that caused smiles or tears.
I need to say thank you because you have helped through
those times a lot over the last few years.

Raising The Dead
Because I cared,
I kept my friends alive
bathed in the light
of the good times we had shared.
But going back to compare
the in-between times too, I see
they have given up the fight
(together with the good times we had shared) .
Even the ones who still breathe!
(Especially the ones who still breathe) .
It wasn’t old Mortality
that carried them away.
They just seem to have slid into senility
and let their hearts decay.
They have accepted the walls
constructed for old age
with a semi-serious intention
for a senior citizen’s pension
(that rapidly disintegrating cage) .
At the Judgement Hour
when they have power
and the necessity to choose,
each finds
that this is what it means to die.
Supine among the debris of their minds,
they give a semi-intentional,
highly conventional
sigh
and press “Snooze”.

We Are Best Friends, Brothers, and a Family
Once our eyes meet,
We confront each other and speak for the first time.
At this moment,
We knew we were meant to be friends.
We walk into the same path to the future,
Where we will spend time together.
We keep going farther.
Always playing and foolish with each other,
Always be there for each other,
Always supporting each other,
Always talking about the problems each other,
Always understanding each other,
Although, we fight infrequently, and
Had a doubt about each other,
Not enough to put faith in each other,
Hesitate to trust each other,
Our despair times,
We went through together.
That's all it matters, not being alone to go through all these I had,
but having someone stood next to me,
And penetrate through all these tough times we had.
It makes our friendship even stronger ever than before.
We are now best friends.
