On the 27th we came to the Cascade Rapids. The first or Little Cascade has about two feet fall, the second or Grand Cascade, a mile farther, is about a six foot sheer drop.

Cascade
Sweet water.
Coloured every shade,
By rainbow that caught my tears.
Crashing wild
Ocean child.
Through all the special years.
As sunset bled.
Love ran barefoot through my head.
My soul
Danced across the esplanade
To find horizons.
Where she had laid
That seascape down.
Where our dreams cascade.
Such joy
Is never real.
Until looking back.
Then you feel
All love that was made.
In naked moonlight
Under cascade.
She washed me clean.
No shooting star
That has ever been
Has ever seen
Such burning night.
Started by a raging sight
Of loving eyes.
Now rushing
Gushing
Before it dies.
Like a million hearts
With silver darts.
That waterfall.
When passion starts
We steal,
Like midnight raid.
Unreal.
That sprinkling
Twinkling
Cascade, .

A Rose That Once Stood Alone
A solitary rose grew in the darkest corner of the garden
Surrounded by many others
Yet remained alone
Time passed and trials came and went
One dealt a severe blow
And the rose began to wilt and wither
Forgotten...
Then... as if by a miracle...
There came a soft and gentle breeze
Followed by a ray of light
As all the other roses fell into darkness
The solitary rose began to shine
Shining with a special light...
And watered by a gentle cascade...
A cascade of love
A cascade of selfless affection
'I do... not now but forever...'
Said the rose to the sunlight
And there they remain
A rose in full bloom
With her sunshine smiling down on her...
You are my sunshine, my life, my very soul
And I your rose blooming in the light of your love.

Does The Road Wind?
does the road wind, cascade
and snake all the way?
should I come running
or rippling, beaming
or dreaming like a pale-face moon?
will the journey be comfy,
tranquil and pleasant
or it will be an adventure of surprises,
of tears with no resting place?
does the sun shine all day long
and the moon and stars dance
at night to comfort the weak and travel-sore?
tell me that I may know
help me that I do not moan
and groan like the bells
just tell me
does the road wind, cascade
and snake all the way?

Cadence & Cascade
Cadence and cascade
Kept a man named jade;
Cool in the shade
While his audience played.
Purred, whispered, spend us too:
We only serve for you.
Sliding mystified
On the wine of the tide
Stared pale-eyed
As his veil fell aside.
Sad paper courtesan
They found him just a man.
Caravan hotel
Where the sequin spell fell
Custom of the game.
Cadence oiled in love
Licked his velvet gloved hand
Cascade kissed his name.
Sad paper courtesan
They knew him just a man.

I Keep My Griefs
I keep some griefs in
a cascade of my mind,
In hidden corner, with
great care, none can find.
The blurred face of my dead
father, who died immature death,
his love and care, the sweet words,
snatch my present confidence, faith.
What for I fight, what for?
Nothing stays, nothing,
on Time's vast shore.
Who am I to be remembered,
when the Emperors couldn't win,
Time, the atrocious, cruel time,
who can only destroy and ruin?
I open the cascade and
Shed tear for the unshaken days,
of my sorrowful heart.
Read the story of every page.
Knowing fully well,
my day may end tonight...
Or tomorrow, like all mortals,
my soul will take another flight.

Mercy
Breeze blow
Over me
Into me
Beyond me
Sun shine
Above me
Within me
Throughout me
Moonlight cascade
All around me
Beneath me
Surround me
Raindrops fall
Upon me
Touch me
Escape me
If I am
Truly alive
Let me live
Or be done with me
Empty me
Lord, have mercy on me

Voodoo Rain in Chicago
Magic
Each glistening drop
tinkers and shimmers
Falls
from each which way
mystically resembling that which glitters
Yes, the Voodoo comes down, even in Chicago
Black
gathers energy fast
and bewitches even the strongest
Star
burning in crimson fury
cascade down on us the longest
Even in Chicago, Yes, the Voodoo comes Down

Cloudless Day
The clouds are breaking
up,
Moving into tomorrow,
Clouds are but a vapor,
Over the horizon,
The sun reappears,
Brightening up the day,
Blue skies cascade,
Like a beautiful canopy,
Covering the earth once
more.

They Dance Circles in Descent.
Tribal rhythms pulsate within my soul,
Echoes waver of life’s long since passed,
I sigh within the moment.
They dance circles in descent.
These unknown creatures
Mimicking angels in formation,
Cascade as water flows
Pure and clear in harmony.
The tears of the world are pooled,
As ambient flutes sound from the
Dark forests of nightshades mask.
Still the cascade continues,
Thousands upon thousands,
Tonnes upon tonnes of purity
In an ever ceaseless flow.
What elaborate beauty is this?
What a grace to have viewed
Glory such as this within the
Sanctuary of my soul.
Clear waters pass below,
Pastures green stretch unto
The distance as ancient trees,
Fountains of secret wisdoms
As they are, keep close eyes upon
Movements within the valley.
Thunder is heard upon the skylines,
The chainsaw roars,
Our most ancient wisdoms are lost.
The natives of the world sigh in unison
Holding on in the moment of descent,
Crying for the future, mourning Mother Nature,
Seeking a truth no soul could resent.

Wrong
Tears cascade down my face,
Because i can't find my place,
My place in life was somehow lost,
I could find it but with a cost,
I never knew why i thought i could be strong,
But in the end I was so, so wrong...

Gokul (Cascade poem-named for its cascading effect. It uses refrains of the first stanza-lines
The Cascade form has no rhyme scheme.
Gokul
Cascading events marched in the dark
Tenebrous war of lightnings flashed
Crossing Yamuna Vasudev fled
Gokul sprang prattling Krishna, Krishna
It was Kamsa the tyrant tortured
Feared of Devaki's child to kill him
He began killing each new born babe
Cascading events marched in the dark
Mathura grew dreadful by Kamsa
People were terrified and threatened
So alike Krishna's parents were jailed
Tenebrous war of lightnings flashed
Watching their babies being slaughtered
They prayed atleast their eighth child be saved
Dream-blessed they were guided by Lord's words
Crossing Yamuna Vasudev fled
With the divine babe in his hands up
Guarded by Adhisesha he walked
Through godly night showers to Gokul
Gokul sprang prattling Krishna, Krishna

Beauty At The Shower
naked body
under the shower
waters cascade
following the contours
the shadow
cast on the glass
i am
filled with desire
and lust
naked body
waiting on bed
just
the two of us
in the privacy of silence
