Jilted Tongue

Growing up in this time,
So many things rushing around us,
We see things one should never see,
We hear what one should never hear.
And still when we know it is wrong,
We speak with a jilted tongue.

As we grow old we see again,
The truth of the wicked that has polluted our minds,
And we sink into a shadow hiding from it all,
And we try to clear our mind of hate and of wrong,
But still the past is there,
Still we remember a time we spoke with a jilted tongue.

Remember who you are as you see what is all around you,
Believe in what you are and what you can be by following what's true,
Never look at things you see that no one should see,
Never listen to the things you hear that no one should hear,
Know that it is wrong,
And do not speak with jilted tongue.

God's Gifts

GOD gave man two ears so that he might hear
Man's truth and also man's lies,
Then also to help man find his way
GOD then gave man two eyes,
Man was then given just one mouth
And also just one tongue
So he would tell the truth and not a lie
And he was gifted that, when he was young.
Two ears for man so he can hear everything
And two eyes for him to see without fail
One mouth and one tongue for the truth
But still from all these gifts; man fell.

The sixth sense

Eyes are there to steer the way;
Ears are there to tell the way.
Nose to sense the danger, tongue
To select food and skin to feel heat.
I direct my eyes to see women,
Ears to hear them, nose to smell them,
Tongue to kiss them and skin to toss them.
Is it due to sixth sense or starvation?

Sonnet: The Tongue

Tongue, the muscle belly in the mouth’s floor!
That grandmothers used to narrate folklore;
With sensors to taste the food that we eat,
And speak fluently with neighbors who cheat.

The boneless tongue gives creatures satiety;
In misdemeanor, speaks words so nasty;
The tongue-tied man cannot speak out too well;
The one with a long tongue argues like hell.

The tongue can emit both a soothing word,
And also cut like a double-edged sword;
The tongue helps one to sing a sweet song,
And touch one’s nose-tip whenever too long.

The tongue can start a war or conclude it;
Some stars use it for their kissing habit.

Blind, Deaf, Dumb and Dead

Lord, I was blind and could not see
the full extent of Your love for me.
Lord, I was deaf and could not hear
the words of life You spoke so clear.

My heart was cold and unaware
of all the wounds You had to bear.
I was dead in trespasses and sin
when You came to earth my love to win.

Then my Lord You reached out to me
and touched my eyes and made me see.
Unstopped my ears to hear Your word
to hear what You were saying Lord.

You unloosed my tongue so I could speak
of the One Who came my soul to seek.
My heart renewed and began to beat
and in Christ alone I stood complete.

You and your Career

Your ears were choosing what to hear,
When mighty jungles claimed noises,
The reason behind the brain and what is clear.

My sight detained me and made me disappear,
Where was I situated, afterwards with afterimages?
Your ears were choosing what to hear.

Your instrument is heavenly in this world and atmosphere,
Like music has spoken and never abuses,
The reason behind the brain and what is clear.

I ride on a faith too majestic and pure to adhere,
Such innocence exhibits the advantages,
Your ears were choosing what to hear,

My mind is passing a test, like drinking beer,
Inner fighting has survived the ambushes,
The reason behind the brain and what is clear.

I can never refuse a man to speak about a career,
The laughing is acted due to this and never ceases,
Your ears were choosing what to hear,
The reason behind the brain and what is clear.

Your Name on my Tongue

Your name on my tongue
is a beautiful thing.
Your name is a wonderful
thing to sing.
If I whisper it softly
it's like a breeze.
It's an altar to which
I fall on my knees.

Your name on my tongue
I can even taste.
Your name on my tongue
is so well placed.
It's where it belongs
behind my lips.
When I open them
out your name slips.

I speak it. I hear it.
I praise its sound and know
I'll say it over and again
because I love it so.

Ode To The Child

the child is the
father, mother
mentor of the man
he gathers the whole
language for him
his mother tongue
with all the shades of meaning
in the first many years of his life
when you hear a man speak
he is speaking the tongue
of his childhood
when you hear a man lie
he is lying on the inoncence
of his childhood

Untie My Tongue

Untie my tongue.
Let me speak what it is I feel.
Reveal it from its depth...
Upon surfaces unknown.
To be shown with sincerety.
And a calm and ease of breath.

The peace resting within me,
I seek to be released.
No longer do I accept escapes...
To hide or deny my wish to be freed!

Let me speak what it is I feel.
Untie my tongue...
To share what I have been able to overcome.
With someone there...
Who will hear and know,
My voice!

Whatever You Like

I have two ears
I have to hear atleast twice.
You have no ears
Why should I speak?

See, Tears only
Rolling from my eyes
And I am unable to see.
You have big round eyes
You can also do
Whatever you like.

Psalm 39 part 1

v.1-3
C. M.
Watchfulness over the tongue.

Thus I resolved before the Lord,-
"Now will I watch my tongue;
Lest I let slip one sinful word,
Or do my neighbor wrong."

And if I'm e'er constrained to stay
With men of lives profane,
I'll set a double guard that day,
Nor let my talk be vain.

I'll scarce allow my lips to speak
The pious thoughts I feel,
Lest scoffers should th' occasion take
To mock my holy zeal.

Yet if some proper hour appear,
I'll not be overawed,
But let the scoffing sinners hear
That I can speak for God.

In The Movie Of The Mind...

to get back the substance of
my meaning
i must learn to speak the wisdom
of nonsense

you laugh and it only in the absurdity of your
childish laughter
that you get back what is long due you
that understanding
that there is actually nothing great that
amazes us
into belief
into the appreciation of the apparel of life
its accessories

there are no earrings to the
ears of mankind
there are only ears missing what it must
rightly hear

to get back the real meaning of my existence
i must believe in nothing

i must float in air
and this is what they call as soul
ghost

winds, sighs, whispers
sweet nothings

i take back meaning and i throw away everything
that i have collected in my hands

i hold emptiness now
and so i have become so full

it is this irony
this paradox that makes reality

one is not one and earth is never earth
thoughts can never be thoughts
dog to dog, dust to dust

when we speak again try to find out what is in our mouth
i am opening my mouth now

you laugh, it is still the same tongue
same teeth

there is nothing about this philosophy
there is only this restlessness that looks for a seat

in the dark, waiting that somehow this is another movie house
and there is coming

the next show.

Deep Silences Like Thunderbolts Were Hurled

Deep silences like thunderbolts were hurled
through the noiseless deafness of my quiet world.
These sounds were generated from within
for my ears were not able to take sounds in.

From the noisy world no sound could be heard
no clashing of drums or song of a bird.
My eyes could see your lips talking to me
but what you said remained a mystery.

Cut off from the noisy world around
and from its vast cacophony of sound.
I could not hear a dog bark or baby cry,
the rustling wind or river rippling by.

Then there down by the Sea of Galilee
they begged Jesus to lay his hands on me.
I was deaf and dumb and could hardly talk
but Jesus took me aside for a walk.

He reached out touching my tongue and my ear
cried out 'Ephphatha' and then I could hear.
My tongue was loosened and then I could speak
now I'm no longer an outcast or freak.

Overwhelmed and amazed at everything
I heard all the people His praises sing.
For although Jesus told them not to tell
they told everyone He'd done all things well.
