Now that our media companies and it appears are policies are traded for cash, what is there to check the continuing consolidation of power and diminishing of democracy?

The media is absolutely essential to the functioning of a democracy. It's not our job to cozy up to power. We're supposed to be the check and balance on government.

In democracy
In democracy
Writ of the peole runs.
In democracy
Repesentatives should not
Called leaders.
In democracy
Representatives must not
Act as er whim.
In democracy
Representative should not
Show dictatorial style.
In democracy
Representative should not have
Arrogance of power.
In democracy
Treachery and
Ruthless decisions
Not good.
In democracy
The representatives
Should be sensitives
Towards sensitive issues.

The corporations that hold these copyrights are media companies that also control most of the new media that comes out. Estimates vary, but it's said that 98 percent of all culture is unavailable right now because of copyrights. So the reason they hold the copyrights isn't because they want to get paid, it's because they don't want all the old stuff competing with the media stream that they control now.

Consolidation isn't new, though... it was a major factor in our rush to form the Gathering and place a stake in the ground to ensure that there is a solid path for developers who are willing to stay independent and build their own companies on their own terms.

Cash In Your Face
You just could not know how long we tried
To see how this building looks inside
This must be a lucky day for me
Because the sign says theres a vacancy
Look I know you came a long way
But you made it just too late
So we had to give it to somebody else
Well I talked to you on the phone less than fifteen minutes ago
And you told me that it was cool
I graduated from howard u.
My job is paying good money too
And if you check on my resume
Youll find they all wanted me to stay
Well I cant take the time out
To check your credit card
cause the computer just broke down today
Well Ill stop by here tomorrow to complete our interview
But I know what youre gonna say
I know what your bottomline is
You might have the cash but you
Can...not cash in your face
We dont want you living in here
Say you might have the cash but you
Can...not cash in your face
We dont want your kind living in here
Too-oo, too-oo too bad,
Too-oo, too-oo too sad
Our first child is due here any day
Thats why were desperate for a place to stay
The location is so perfect too
So please try to do what you can do
Well in this apartment complex no children are allowed
And if you told me that I could have saved you alot of time
Well I thought the bill was passed that said you could not discriminate
But I know some excuse youll find
Because your bottom line is
You might have the cash but you
Can...not cash in your face
We dont want you living in here
Say you might have the cash but you
Can...not cash in your face
We dont want your kind living in here
Aye, you might be a great doctor
You might be a great lawyer
You might possess the key to the city
Or maybe a politician
You might have the cash but you
Can...not cash in your face
We dont want you living in here
Say you might have the cash but you
Can...not cash in your face
We dont want your kind living in here

The So Called Honorable
For to cling to power or for need of power on most policies they disagree
Between the Government and their Opposition there's does not seem much difference to me
Those out of power verbally attack those in power that is how it's been for years
Who wins or loses the Election should not be cause for joy or tears.
Who is in or out of power I for one do not care
That they do not bring change to my life for the good I am all too aware
Democracy is the best form of Government by many we are told
But the workings of Parliament has not changed from the long gone days of old.
Of the praises of Democratically Elected Governments many feel happy to sing
But in Parliament that Parliamentarians obliged to vote with their own parties does not seem a democratic thing
And that the Party or Parties elected by the majority of the voters makes decisions for everyone
Is hardly true democracy when all is said and done.
The hierarchy refer to Parliamentarins as the honorable a title he or she for life does keep
But such a title for most Politicians makes the word honor seem cheap
Like dysfunctional adolescents in Parliament every day
Supposed to be honorable men and women behave in a most immature way.

The Power Of Persuasion
Cock a snoot,
Loop the loop,
Hock the hula-hoop,
But now it yo-yod back again
Shiver me timbers,
Just jumped ship with a little faith
We could win the championship
Parachute substitute, problem is its soooo cute
Workless, cashless, hungry and in debt
Outta house, outta home, outta pocket
They persuade you,
That they made you then betrayed you
And they blame you with the power of persuasion
The power of persuasion
The power of persuasion
The power of persuasion
You bought the troll,
You bought the gonk,
You took it home, and put it on a pedestal
We needed a saviour,
But from its behaviour
Why did it have to be so extra-terrestrial?
Tax deductible. cash corruptible,
Never the less another poolswinner
Penniless dog tooth check,
Cash and carry find a girl,
Settle down and marry
They persuade you,
That they made you
The proclaim,
And theyll maim you with the power of persuasion
The power of persuasion
The power of persuasion
The power of persuasion
I sold the eskimo snow
Build the skyline outta playdo
Persuading you that monochrome is dayglo
With the power of persuasion

Continuing...............
Limitations are not for people for whom life is a continuing quest.
Boundaries are not for people for whom life is a continuing exploration.
Destinations are not for people for whom life is a continuing journey.
Harbours are not for people for whom life is a continuing sail.
Accomplishments are not for people for whom life is a continuing
Leisure is not for those who are always indulged in work.

The Times has much less power than you think. I believe we attribute power to the media generally that it simply doesn't have. It's very convenient to blame the media, the same way we blame television for everything that's going wrong in society.

Those Who Are Less Fortunate Then You
Consolidation.
The gathering of a nation.
Make us one.
Make us whole.
Destroy this void.
With armies sent to destroy.
Under political control.
Creating a martial law.
Protesters are silenced with the sounds gun fire.
Lethal force has been authorized.
And blood pours and pools right under our feet.
Their is no going back.
Their is no retreat.
That flag marks the day of defeat.
Consolidation.
The gathering of a nation.
Make us one.
Make us whole.
Destroy this void.
With armies sent to destroy.
Under political control.
Consolidation.
The gathering of a nation.
Make us one.
Make us whole.
Destroy this void.
With armies sent to destroy.
Under political control.
Monsters with innocent faces.
The poison in this water has become so tasteless.
Does this mean it won't kill?
The fight for the freedom of the defenseless.
Let our crys be heard.
Let them hear us all over the world.
Consolidation.
The gathering of a nation.
Make us one.
Make us whole.
Destroy this void.
With armies sent to destroy.
Under political control.
Divide us into groups of races, religions, classes and other discrimination's.
It doesn't change that we are all made of this flesh.
With hearts that all beat the same.
We all bleed the same.
No matter the cage we're imprisoned in.
This won't change.
Consolidation.
The gathering of a nation.
Make us one.
Make us whole.
Destroy this void.
With armies sent to destroy.
Under political control.
Consolidation.
The gathering of a nation.
Make us one.
Make us whole.
Destroy this void.
With armies sent to destroy.
Under political control.
All we ask for, all we want, all we seek is the right to be as we are.
Is our very existence so wrong?
That no haven or shelter shall be given to those who less fortunate then you, then you, then you?

What is democracy?
They said that the government of the people,
By the people and for the people, remarkable,
Democracy in many countries of third world,
Derived from aimless policies and controversies untold,
People on the street hope for the better tomorrow,
As the tomorrow, their hope never comes true,
Is Painting the finger once in a few years the democracy?
Is carrying the placards with empty stomach a liberty?
Are the indebted human tied with the voiceless economical stump?
When people having nothing, they have the voice,
When people everything, they have a voice with no noise.
Human are made dump for they not want to lose their properties,
Human are made to be tolerant, when they are kept vertical,
Human are confused with capitalistic democracy,
Human are not comfortable with socialistic democracy,
What is the meaning for democracy,
when the mind and the body are controlled?

Diminishing Of Integrity
A diminishing of integrity,
Now gone.
A diminishing of equality,
Now gone.
And...
A quality of life once wished,
To value and exist to admit...
Is,
A deficit of dreams,
That seem to demean...
With no purpose or meaning.
A diminishing of integrity,
Now gone.
A diminishing of equality,
Now gone.
With a deficit of dreams,
That seem to demean...
With no purpose or meaning.
A diminishing of integrity,
Now gone.
With a deficit of dreams,
That seem to demean...
With no purpose or meaning.
A diminishing of integrity,
Now gone.
And seems to demean,
With no purpose or meaning.
A diminishing of integrity,
Now gone.
With no purpose or meaning.
A diminishing of integrity,
Now gone.
A diminishing of integrity,
Now gone.
A diminishing of integrity,
Now gone.
Now gone.
Now gone.
A diminishing of integrity,
Now gone.
Gone!

On The Same Page
Some of you have questioned the necessity,
Of this morning's meeting.
And as C.E.O. of Rapid Mess Industries...
I felt it my duty and extreme importance,
That we all are on the same page as we move forward...
With our set agenda.
Now,
Before we begin...
Are there any questions?
No questions?
Great.
Lonnie?
'Yes, Mister Duke? '
Lonnie, I am going to list our accomplishments,
And you concur.
Understood?
'Yes, Mister Duke.'
Creation of environmental hazards?
'Check! '
Successful depletion of the middle class?
'Check! '
Ignoring the infrastructure?
'Check! '
The marketing of expicit decadence?
'Check! '
Creation of conflicts wherever they can be created?
'Check! '
Ruining the economy?
'Check! '
Devastation of race relations?
'Check! '
Imprisoning our citizens at alarming rates?
'Check! '
AND...
Last but not least,
Promoting our arrogance globally...
To ensure our policies are understood?
'And...
Check! '
'Oh...
Mister Duke?
There is one more thing not mentioned.'
And what would that be, Lonnie?
'Propaganda!
You did not mention any of it! '
No Lonnie.
It has been determined,
Our successes speak for themselves!

The POWERFULL
I am the power
Below my bower
Are decided
The bullet’s shower
I am the power
If you are rebel
But are capable
I would help you
Like the crow’s pebble
I am the power
If you are weak
My help is bleak
Let you not shriek
Due to oppression
I am the power
All kinds of “cracies”
Are my policies
Brutal use of power
Are my legacies
I am the power
All organizations
Are in collaboration
Always abet me
In all possible fashion
I am the power
Poor are exploited
Rich are invited
For attaining coffers
Looted from the blighted
I am the power
My ostensible fights
For the all human right
Are my devices
That help me flight
I am the power
