A multitude of causes unknown to former times are now acting with a combined force to blunt the discriminating powers of the mind, and unfitting it for all voluntary exertion to reduce it to a state of almost savage torpor.

Everyone confesses that exertion which brings out all the powers of body and mind is the best thing for us; but most people do all they can to get rid of it, and as a general rule nobody does much more than circumstances drive them to do.

Faculties

mind
multifaceted
a force
an unknown force
driving
all the mes
at times
communicating
with the mes
out of itself
god?
a diamond
a million sparkles
the rain
falls in
so many ways
slow, fast, slanted
big, small,
hot, cold, warm
solid, liquid
dancing down
the sky
mind
rains down
on me
in so many ways
slow,
fast,
real,
unreal
male,
female,
god, demons
a spectrum
of me
that sometimes
got lost
in all the mes
i walk through
all the mes
the same fashion
like the rain
slow, fast, warm, cold, hot, ....
at times listening
to that voice
that speaks from the mind
on its own
i reckon that's god
the only constant
in the vast space
of the mind
space a projection of mind
from there me
savour all the rain
washed down on me
mind where the almighty
rains down on me
with many mes
teaching me one or two things
to prevent me
from getting lost

On A Plateau Leaving

On a plateau leaving...
Are those who stood by to warn,
And 'suggest'...
Times to leave behind,
Limiting and upsetting pettiness...
Would overnight,
Be as useless as a waste of breath.

On a plateau leaving,
Are those who have achieved...
A higher consciousness.
And not one is looking to find,
Anyone from fading times...
Who did not have this addressed.

On a plateau leaving,
Are those in a new state of mind.
And...
On a plateau leaving,
Those who are commited to defeat and confine.
And...
On a plateau leaving,
Are those in a new state of mind.
And...
On a plateau leaving.
On a plateau leaving.

On a plateau leaving,
Are those in a new state of mind.
And...
On a plateau leaving,
Those who are commited to defeat and confine.
And...
On a plateau leaving,
Are those in a new state of mind.
And...
On a plateau leaving.
On a plateau leaving.
Yes...
On a plateau leaving,
Are those in a new state of mind.
And...
On a plateau leaving.
On a plateau leaving behind.

And...
On a plateau leaving.
On a plateau leaving
On a plateau leaving,
Are those in a new state of mind.
And...
On a plateau leaving.
On a plateau leaving.

We Can Turn This All Around

Minus sadness.
Reduce your madness.
Eliminate the negative...
For a positive return!

Subtract the stresses.
Address the messes.
Add a touch of happiness,
To produce that smile you've earned!

Divided chaos has us at a lost!
It doesn't do one good...
When the bad things keep on happening!
Conflicting wishes increase at such a cost.
And upside down,
Are emotions we've invested!

Minus sadness.
Reduce your madness.
Eliminate the negative...
For a positive return!

Subtract the stresses.
Address the messes.
Add a touch of happiness,
To produce that smile you've earned!

Too many people straining...
To bank on reminiscing pain,
Groaning its existence...
And allowing its persistence.

Too many pinching to regain,
A consciousness sitting...
To stay in times unfitting.

Many wish wanting the same to remain.
And the loud cries heard for change...
Will not stop folks from lamenting,
A past they can't see ending!

Minus sadness.
Reduce your madness.
Eliminate the negative...
For a positive return!

Subtract the stresses.
Address the messes.
Add a touch of happiness,
To produce that smile you've earned!

Or together will we burn...
Without learning we can turn this,
All around!

Savage

Words of power are killing me
While the sun displays its teeth.
All mockery is laughing
All violence is cheap.
She said...
"These are my guns
These are my furs
This is my living room."
"You can play with me there sometimes
If you catch me in the mood."
Savage
Savage
Savage
You savage...

She said...
"I have this unhappiness
To wear around my neck."
"It's a pretty piece of jewellery
To show what I protect."
She said...
"Everything is fiction
All cynic to the bone."
"So don't ask me to stay with you
Don't ask to see me home."
Savage
Savage
Savage
You savage...

The state I am in

In my periods of self-imposed isolation,
when I am in a state of being,
rather than that of action,
when my passiveness, becomes paramount,
and my ambition is reduced
to one of apathy,
when I exist as an inanimate object,
rather than an object which
reflects life,
when I am present,
but unaccounted for,
when I suffer from
sel-inflicted wounds
and wound others about me,
becoming a wall of inhumanity
that no one is able to scale,
including myself,
a solid nothing,
erected by one's own
faltering ego,
a state of inertia, that following
the laws of physics,
cannot move until acted upon
by an outside force,
(and probably not then either) ,
then I wonder,
what state is it,
that I am in?
Certainly not a vegatative state
as I would not be able to do
whatever the hell it is I am
doing now.
Certainly not a comatose state
as I would be unawake and
unaware of my surroundings.
It's possible that I could be
in such a state of mind
as to not know
just what it is that I am doing.
But that's ridiculous!
I do know what I'm doing.
So, what state am I in?

Why, Arizona, of course!

Savage Earth Heart

Ooooh!
...let me see the savage
I want to see the savage coming
Crashing through your face
I want to be there
When the savage comes
I want to be there
When the savage comes
When your savage earth heart
Cuts through
I wanna be a witness
Or a victim to your spell
Crackling in lightening
Dressed in shadows
Red like a carousel
I want to be there
When the savage comes
I want to be there
When the savage comes
When your savage earth heart
...cuts through
Will you lay all of your
Deepest wildest secrets bare?
Will you let all of those
Rumbling old gods take rage?
I want to be there
When the savage comes
I want to be there
When the savage comes
When your savage earth heart
Cuts through!
Then I was taken smoothly
By the vulture of the soul
That hideous strength
That numbs the tongue
And he led me like a cinder
Through the fields of hell
To doubt my friends and to hate myself
But when my savage earth heart
...cuts through
When my savage earth heart
Cuts through
Then my savage earth heart
...cuts through
And the culture of the soul laid waste

State Of Mind

You don't need to hang around
You don't need to talk right now
Gotta feeling, it's a mistake
Gotta feeling, it's gonna break
Some days, sometimes just don't feel right
Too hot to touch
It's getting too much
You know it's just a state of mind
Driving you wild
You're torn up inside
You know it's just a state of mind
State of mind
All I need is to breathe
All I need is to believe
Gotta have it, now I know
Gotta have it, take it slow
Some days, sometimes it just goes right
Too hot to touch
It's getting too much
You know it's just a state of mind
Driving you wild
You're torn up inside
You know it's just a state of mind
State of mind
State of mind
State of mind
Ahhh
Too hot to touch (Yeah)
Ahhh
(It's my state of mind)
Driving you wild
(I was driving you wild)
Too hot to touch
It's getting too much
You know it's just a state of mind
Driving you wild
You're torn up inside
You know it's just a state of mind
State of mind
State of mind
State of mind
Too hot to touch
It's getting too much
You know it's just a state of mind
Driving you wild
You're torn up inside
You know it's just a state of mind
State of mind
State of mind
State of mind
You know it's just a state of mind

Aurobindo-24-Savitri-Book -2

An appreciation on Savitri
Book II The Book of the Traveller of the Worlds
Canto IV The Kingdoms of the Little Life
Words within inverted commas are Aurobindo's

Life's seed 'woke from happy torpor a blind Force
Compelling it to sense and seek and feel.'
Yes, a blind force.. unlnowing the two destinations
'A groping consciousness in a voiceless world,
A guideless sense was given her for her road; '
'In her substance of unthinking mute soul-strength
That cannot utter what its depths divine,
Awoke a blind necessity to know.'

'Inflicting on the body desire and hope, '
'She brought into Matter's dull tenacity '
'Her wandering unsure steps, her cry for change.'
'Adorer of a joy without a name,
In her obscure cathedral of delight
To dim dwarf gods she offers secret rites.'
True, a fear-ride on a blindfolded march
'Matter dissatisfies, she turns to Mind; '

'Only a glimmer sometimes splits mind's sky
Justifying the ambiguous providence
That makes of night a path to unknown dawns
Or a dark clue to some diviner state.'
Truth is rarely cloaked in glittering attire
In here Thine word-woven brocade glitters
'Like a child-soul left near the gates of Hell
Fumbling through fog in search of Paradise.'..glorious

'On dim confines where Life and Matter meet
He wandered among things half-seen, half-guessed,
Pursued by ungrasped beginnings and lost ends.'
'Himself was dim to himself, half-felt, obscure,
As if in a struggle of the Void to be.'
'This blindfold force could place no thinking step; '...

............My consciousness this moment,
O'Guru, I'm in awe....in invincible heights
Ineffable Thee embellishing poetic creation
My inquisitive apprehension, erring Thee may opine
May thereso, let Savitri in my self arise
Aroused thereso be knowledge and fortune

Bleak outlook; for some.

I did not think things could get worse.
But I was wrong quite obviously
The guardians of the public purse.
Decided unilaterally.

We must reduce expenditure
I have no choice but to agree.
Though I am absolutely sure
all will not suffer equally.

The savage cuts which they propose
may well reduce the deficit.
I see no reason to suppose
that everyone will benefit.

The rich of course won’t feel the chill.
The little man will have to pay.
He always did and always will.
Because that is the Tory way.

It is their mission to conserve
the privilege which they enjoy
By any means which will serve
and any means they can employ.

Perhaps I have a biased view.
.Maybe I am too cynical.
Though I believe my words are true.
I could be wrong it’s possible.

That they are acting for the best.
A dangerous experiment.
Which when they put it to the test.
Might just succeed by accident.

Then they will claim all credit due.
But if it fails they will deny
as politicians always do
They had no choice; they had to try.

Though you may take a different view.
Not everybody will agree
What you conclude is up to you.
I think we’ll have to wait and see.

I do not think this government
Will last. The strains are showing now.
The general public discontent.
How long before their final bow.

The rich cannot impose their will
As they have always done before.
Why should the poorest foot the bill
A question that they can’t ignore.

Although I’m sure that they will try.
By quoting massaged statistics.
Which I for one choose not to buy.
I can see through their dirty tricks.
