Injustices
seeking injustices throughout the land
trying to give a helping hand.
people running to and fro
not knowing which way to go.
children playing in the streets
and predators around offering treats.
elderly people who can't retire
too old to work and no one will hire.
unemployment lines longer than ever
in hopes that things will get better.
gas prices are all sky rocketing
c.e.o.'s doing the pocketing.
people all around losing their homes
and not enough money to pay their phones.
the richest nation in the world
and food being thrown away
and children starving every day.
everglades and rain forests being torn apart

No Apologies
Lately I've been too tired to be that man I used to be.
Overwhelmed and uninspired does it matter that no one's listening.
I've looked to find my place, I've searched to see my purpose served
but every where that I can see people getting what they don't deserve.
Cause I am what I am, I could change it all but never me.
It's the pride of a foolish man but I live my life with no apologies.
Convince the world I'm crazy, in truth maybe I am.
But I've cut my baggage loose I shed my skin I'm a better man.
No one left to pull me under no one left to drag me down.
Standing on my own two feet I find the strength to stand my ground.
I once dwelled on all the things in life I never had,

Is It War
is it war? or is it murder?
(war is a declared armed hostile conflict between nations.)
but! when you have bodies laying on the ground
without arms or legs
and no one to hear you pray.
then you question all you see
and if the butchering is meant to be.
have you ever seen a person taken out of their bed
taken to a wall and shot in the head.
or a person because of their religious belief
taken from their families and left with grief.
what about someone killed because
of the color of their skin
and the hathred building within.
what about women and children being kidnapped
for human trafficking, and living like slaves
for someones riches to gain.
there is no declared war in this world right now
but the butchering is everywhere to be found.
no matter what they may claim to be
they are terrorist, unlike you or me.
they will commit suicide and pray
to be a martyr
for living life is so much harder.
they are not soldiers of war
they are murderers who take joy
in all that they do.
but their time will come
this much is true.
so many injustices in this world
created by man, now it's time
for the believers to take a stand.
if you believe in GOD, freedom, justice
peace and love
then it's time that you spread the word
for all of these things to be heard.

How Do You Forgive?
How can you find forgiveness,
In somebody who hurt you so bad?
You still love them.
But the pain is still here,
Can it not go away?

Time perhaps, for wonder –
to look around in awe
at how all that surrounds us
has somehow come about..
we who do not even know
how to grow a fingernail…
time perhaps, for gratitude –
for what we have already,
forgetting for a moment, our desires…
we who have forgotten
whom or how to thank..
time perhaps, for praise –
if not the Lawyer, praise the laws…
if not the lover, praise the love…
we who might become
praiseworthy through our praise…

A student’s duty’s learning prime, of course;
Enough of time must be ear-marked for this;
Studying must be by self-interest, not force;
All other things, he need not howev’r miss.
Whenev’r you learn, you put your heart and soul;
The two are synchronously done in life;
Distractions should not be your life’s main goal;
They can put persons off gear very rife.
Manage your precious time quite prudently;
Though time is fixed, all things must find a place;
Planning helps one study efficiently;
