Butterfly Collector
Stuck behind,
Only watching,
She moves fleetingly,
I’m only watching.
The glass between us,
Only watching,
The gulf behind us,
I’m only watching.
I don’t want to be
A butterfly collector,
I don’t want to be
Just a butterfly collector.
The class between us,
Only watching,
She moves on the street,
I’m only watching.
I don’t want to be
A butterfly collector,
I don’t want to be
Just a butterfly collector.
I want to be somewhere else,
I want to be far away,
I want to be somebody else,
Because I don’t want to be a butterfly collector.
I don’t want to be
A butterfly collector,
I don’t want to be
Just a butterfly collector.
I don’t want to be,
I don’t want to be,
I don’t want to be,
I don’t want to be a butterfly collector.

Where ever it is, shes goin, too.
Give her my autograph and tell her
Its been nice knowin you.
Chorus
Shes a star collector (collector of stars)
She only sims to please young celebraties.
Shes a star collector (collector of stars)
How can I love her, when I just dont respect her?
When everthing is goin my way,
She wants to be close at hand.
She moves to some other doorway
When things dont go the way she planned.

People are broad-minded. They'll accept the fact that a person can be an alcoholic, a dope fiend, a wife beater and even a newspaperman, but if a man doesn't drive, there's something wrong with him.

Oh Collector
Oh collector I'm so sorry
You had the notion that I was rolling
In the money no I'm sorry
But I'll pay you
No Worry
Let's Sing Softly
Let's Sing Softly
Oh so softly
Not so heavy
I've been heavy with my fortune
Like a crystal and a hammer
I'm so sorry Oh collector
I'm away now in a hurry
Repeat Chorus
Get up all you fighters
Don't you lie here now
Oh collector you had it coming
It was that funny we were rolling
Oh collector we're so sorry
And we'll pay you
No Worry
Repeat Chorus x3

The Old Miser and his 3rd Wife
1
The Old Miser
my husband is dying
and he makes me promise
I must put all his money in his coffin
when he dies
“O my legal third wife
the only one surviving -
you must put all my money
secretly in my coffin”
Sure thing, sure thing
you Old Miser!
You made me suffer all my life
and now in your death
you want to bring away all the money
Sure thing, sure thing
you Old Miser!
2
Now, he’s dead
and I’ve arranged for his funeral
and while everyone’s busy
with all these preparations
I dutifully take all his money
from the hiding place
which he whispered to me
with his last breath
and he bit my ear and he snarled:
“Put all my money
in my coffin”
Sure thing, sure thing
you Old Miser!
You made me suffer all my life
and now in your death
you want to bring all the money away
Sure thing, sure thing
you Old Miser!
3
So I take all his money
and bring it to the bank
and deposit it in my name
and make a cheque out for 10 million
and put the cheque below his head
Sure thing, sure thing
you Old Miser!
You made me suffer all my life
and now in your death
you can take all the money away
Sure thing, sure thing
you Old Miser!

Ibrahim II
You are better off today than yesterday,
But tomorrow comes and it will be worst off!
Oh Ibrahim my lover! ! This is how the world is,
And we have to face the realities around us at all times.
Of the water which was turned into blood!
Of the River Nile which was turned into frogs!
But, there is One Law for us all;
Yes, One Law for the native born and for the stranger.
The book of war!
The book peace,
The book of joy,
The book of love,
The book of romance,
The book of rivers;
And like the first moon of the year! !
However, all the rivers that flow ends up to the sea.

The Worst And The Best
in the hospitals and jails
it's the worst
in madhouses
it's the worst
in penthouses
it's the worst
in skid row flophouses
it's the worst
at poetry readings
at rock concerts
at benefits for the disabled
it's the worst
at funerals
at weddings
it's the worst
at parades
at skating rinks
at sexual orgies
it's the worst
at midnight
at 3 a.m.
at 5:45 p.m.
it's the worst

For Years/ A Miser Of Every Minute
FOR YEARS/ A MISER OF EVERY MINUTE
For years
A miser of every minute
For my work.
And now near old age
I understand
All that time given to works
Never to be read,
And so
A seeming tranquility.
If all my time wasted
Why be a miser
Any longer?
And yet,
What have I done?
Can I somehow still
Do something?

Put circle round this this and a circle round that

VIOLENT J AND SHAGGS 2 DOPE: Ive lived on hell of a life, if your to take it tonight, Ive lived the life of a king, but so muck to darken the light/Looking 360 degrees, two hundred thousand disease, how can I lay back and chill, so many down on their knees/But then again who am I, Im just some typical guy, I aint no in hero, I just been wondering why...
VIOLENT J AND SHAGGS 2 DOPE (CHORUS): I seen some children/Crossing the bridge/What kind of life did/They get to live? What kind of choice do/They get to make/What if it was a/Childs mistake?
VIOLENT J AND SHAGGS 2 DOPE: Ill never question the book, but lets say I lived by the book, I never ate meat on Tuesdays, how much bigger would my wings look?/I try to pray everyday, but sometimes get lost on the way, I seen the holiest spirit, so muck to miss lead the way/I gave the visions I got, I been told Im gonna rot, inside the devils intestines, Im still here holding my spot, Ive just been wondering why...
VIOLENT J AND SHAGGS 2 DOPE (CHORUS): I seen some children/Crossing the bridge/What kind of life did/They get to live? What kind of choice do/They get to make/What if it was a/Childs mistake?
BREAK DOWN: COME ON UP AND OPEN UP YOUR DOOR/WHAT IF ITS A PERGATORY DOOR/COME ON UP AND OPEN UP YOUR DOOR/WHAT IF ITS A PERGATORY DOOR/ in take me instead!
CHORUS: I seen some children/Crossing the bridge/What kind of life did/They get to live? What kind of choice do/They get to make/What if it was a/Childs mistake?/ in take me instead!
CHORUS: I seen some children/Crossing the bridge/What kind of life did/They get to live? What kind of choice do/They get to make/What if it was a/Childs mistake?/ in take me instead!

Open Book's Monologue (revisited the years later portion of part 16)
Maybe I'm the book, and maybe you're the reader
but who is you? is it not everyone
since I'm open, for all to point at laugh at, out of malice or for fun
because they know my thoughts, they know i love her? !
what did i do?
i never said i love you! ! !
how can they know?
how did i reap what i did now sow? !
The worst part
about being an open book,
is an open book can't close itself, can't have a heart
anyone can know all from just one look
there seems to be something wrong with being too open and honest
but it's too late a book can't close itself
can't move by its own accord to a shelf
an open book can never rest
so now I'm the book, so since im there just read
just read.... and watch my heart, my purpose, my soul, my life, me
watch.... watch them bleed
