To appear on the stage drunk, to have them leave there and remember me making drunken mistakes, that was death.

Death Is Not The End

When youre sad and when youre lonely and you havent got a friend
Just remember that death is not the end
And all that youve held sacred, falls down and does not mend
Just remember that death is no the end
Not the end, not the end
Just remember that death is not the end
When youre standing at the crossroads that you cannot comprehend
Just remember that death is not the end
And all your dreams have vanished and you dont know whats up the bend
Just remember that death is not the end
Not the end, not the end
Just remember that death is not the end
When the storm clouds gather round you, and heavy rains descend
Just remember that death is not the end
And theres no one there to comfort you, with a helpin hand to lend
Just remember that death is not the end
Not the end, not the end
Just remember that death is not the end
Oh, the tree of life is growing
Where the spirit never dies
And the bright light of salvation shines
In dark and empty skies
When the cities are on fire with the burning flesh of men
Just remember that death is not the end
And you search in vain to find just one law abiding citizen
Just remember that death is not the end
Not the end, not the end
Just remember that death is not the end

Freedom to err

I am free with my parent
But I fear making mistakes.
I am free with my boss
But I fear making mistakes.
I am free with my wife
And fear not making mistakes.
She isn’t like that with me.
Real freedom is where you
Have freedom to make mistakes.

A Welcoming Of Their Own Grief

I remember a time,
When being honest with integrity...
Actually made a difference.
People had respect for those,
Who used their minds and were direct.

I also remember,
When people were not so quick...
To protect obvious mistakes made.
Or wasted the time to debate,
A welcoming of their own grief.

I remember a time,
When being honest with integrity...
Actually made a difference to leave.
And people did not pass judgement,
Before they listened to comprehend.

And today people have grown accustomed...
To ignore the message to then blame the messenger,
For their mistakes made to say as if offended...
They should be forgiven for not being accountable,
As they played unconsciously until it became too late.

And I remember the day when I walked away to leave,
This insanity to embrace my peace.

Forgive Each Others Mistakes

I elevated you so high, and allowed myself to free fall.
I wouldn’t believe what I chose to become, as I hit life’s brick wall.
Do you remember looking into my eyes as we promised each other it all?
Feel nothing, as you watch me fall, and you stood there looking so tall.

But through my heartache I forgot that we can all make mistakes.
And even though you were the perfect girl in my eyes.
And even though I love what love creates.
In the end we are only human, and even humans can keep making the same mistakes.

So I’m pulling my last rip chord, and I’m saving myself from certain death.
I will hit the ground running, and moving forward with my every breath.

Now through the scattered pieces of my heart, I remembered that we can all make mistakes.
And even though I’m not fully fixed, this broken heart forgives an imperfect girl.
And even though I love what love creates.
In the end you were only human, and even humans can forgive each others mistakes.

I Was Drunk And It Was Fun

I was drunk and it was fun,
At least I think, for it did not return;
To keep save in my memory,
The last 16 hours lived by me.

I was drunk and it was fun,
As in daze, round and round I spun;
Where I stopped, I did not know,
So I asked the bartender to pour.

I was drunk and it was fun,
Robber chasing me, I could not run,
So I took the hand that I was dealt,
And handed over all of my wealth.

I was drunk and it was fun,
No, I do not remember this gun.
Now this lie detector test I fail,
I have time remember -life in jail.

Get Off The Stage

Oh, you silly old man
You silly old man
Youre making a fool of yourself
So get off the stage
You silly old man
In your misguided trousers
With your mascara and your fender guitar
And you think you can arouse us ?
But the song that you just sang
It sounds exactly like the last one
And the next one
I bet you it will sound
Like this one
Downstage, and offstage
Dont you feel all run in ?
And do you wonder when they will take it away ?
This is your final fling
But then applause ran high
But for the patience of the ones behind you
As a verse drags on like a month drags on
Its very short, but it seems very long
And the song that you just sang
It sounds exactly like the last one
And the next one
I bet you it will sound
Like this one
So, get off the stage
Oh, get off the stage
And when we get down off of the stage
Please stay off the stage - all day !
Get off the stage
Oh, get off the stage
And when weve had our money back
Then Id like your back in plaster
Oh, I know that you say
How age has no meaning
Oh, but here is your audience now
And theyre screaming :
Get off the stage
Oh, get off the stage
Because Ive given you enough of my time
And the money that wasnt even mine
Have you seen yourself recently ?
Oh, get off the stage
Oh, get off the stage
For whom, oh ...
For whom, oh ...
For whom, oh ...
For whom, oh ...
Get off the stage
Get off the stage
Get off the stage
For whom the bell tolls

Deeds Done They Do To Leave

Don't you believe people make mistakes?
And should be forgiven for those they make?

'Sure.
I've made quite a few myself.
And not one did I make,
Was an intention to undermine someone else,
Consciously.

Nor did I,
With a premeditation done...
Inflict sorrow on anyone.

Those are not 'mistakes'.
That is a remorse received for a thing done,
Now bringing feelings of guilt and grief.

Feelings of guilt that brings one grief,
Is a payback.
And those are divinely distributed.

Mistakes can be corrected.
Heartaches and 'breaks'...
Are way beyond my jurisdiction to mend.
They require much prayer and faith.
And that is what I have relied on to keep my head up,
To protect from those of destructive forces.

So those who choose to say,
They should be forgiven for making mistakes.
And expect a forgiveness done...
Are 'consciously' approving their own devious activities.
That is the way I see deeds done they do to leave.
With expectations to continue their deceptions.
After an appropriate forgiveness has been delivered.'
Those are not mistakes.
And there is quite a difference.'

Inheriting A Confusion....

when we go back to
a place
we think sometimes
that it
will only be for a while

a few days
hence
you want to go again somewhere
wanting
to remember someone else
for someone

when we return it is because we
want to begin again
but in so doing
we want to leave again

i do not really understand
what i am at

i remember father when he rushed us
early that day
to ozamis

when we reached there just when the sun
was about to set
we rushed again
back home

he was not drunk
what i still remember is that confusion in his face

it is now
mine.

Making Plans

You say tomorrow youre going
Its so hard for me to believe
Im making plans for the heartaches
cause youre making plans to leave
The tears for me will be falling
Like a tree shedding its leaves
Im making plans for the tear drops
cause youre making plans to leave
Youre making plans to forget me
Im making plans to miss you
Im getting ready ti grieve
Im making plans to be lonesome
cause youre making plans to leave
Im making plans to be lonesome
cause youre making plans to leave

Catching Mistakes

When I was a young boy,
I enjoyed...
The freedom of not making sense,
When jumping over fences then.

When I...
Did annoy,
I employed...
A look of innocence defending,
A right to make up alibis.

I did not know,
I was denying in hiding.
Or protecting a falsity seen.
I was just a little boy.
And playing that 'little' boy scene.

But..
Today so much I've grown,
To show I have courage.
With a nourishing of integrity.
And today I want it known,
Dignity and pride I will leave.
And what that means.

When I was a young boy,
I enjoyed...
The freedom of not making sense,
When jumping over fences then.

When I...
Did annoy,
I employed...
A look of innocence defending,
A right to make up alibis.

But today I'm not afraid,
To say I've made mistakes...
That bother me.
And I,
Wish to be forgiven...
For not catching mistakes I leave.

Forever Loss

Where was I when the news broke?
I don’t remember, I don’t remember
The phone rang, a familiar voice
“Come home” they said “she’s gone”

How long did the journey take?
I don’t remember, I don’t remember
All family adorned in black
Strange this unfamiliar home

Did I speak a single word?
I don’t remember, I don’t remember
My mothers in the kitchen
Drunk, alone, weeping

Was it raining on the day?
I don’t remember, I don’t remember
They put her in the ground
She was gone forever

How did it all end?
I don’t remember, I don’t remember
The priest spoke in a sombre tone
“And she lives on in our loving memory”

I’ll never forget, I’ll never forget

Puzzling

Shall I return from where I came
Or go some other place?
Shall I return to who I am
Or wear another face?
I ask myself these questions
because I can't remember.
I know that when I came this time
It was in a cold December.
Why did I not bring memories
to accompany me on this stage?
It certainly would feel calming
to know this as I age.

And if my calmness depends on that
then I'll never lay to rest
all the wonders of who I'll be
when I leave this stage to the rest.

Death of my first love

I can still remember the weeping of the sky
When I lost you from my mind and wanted to die!

Life of my childhood was very fine
Then I was yours and you were mine!

I made you cry for your mistakes
Now my eyes have become two lakes
That overflow with tears whenever I think
I cannot cut off our invisible link!

Death of my first love shocked me so much
I still remember your tender touch!

The Ballad Of Ira Hayes

Gather round you people and a story I will tell
About a brave young indian you should remember well
From the tribe of pima indians, a proud and a peaceful band
They farmed the phoenix valley in arizona land
Down their ditches for a thousand years the sparkling water rushed
Till their white man stole their water rights and the running water hushed
Now iras folks were hungry and their farms wene crops of weeds
But when war came he volunteers and forgot, the white mans greed
Call him, drunken ira hayes, he wont answer anymore
Not the whiskey-drinking indian or the marine who went to war
Yes, call him, drunken ira hayes, he wont answer anymore
Not the whiskey-drinking indian or the marine who went to war.
They started up iwo jima hill, 250 men
But only 27 lived to walk back down that hill again
And when the fight was over and the old glory raised
One of the men who held it high was the indian ira hayes
Call him, drunken ira hayes, he wont answer anymore
Not the whiskey-drinking indian or the marine who went to war
Call him, drunken ira hayes, he wont answer anymore
Not the whiskey-drinking indian or the marine who went to war.
Now ira returned a hero, celebrated throughout the land
He was wined and speeched and honored, everybody shook his hand
But he was just a pima indian, no money crops, no chance
And at home nobody cared what ira had done and the wind did the indians
Dance
Call him, drunken ira hayes, he wont answer anymore
Not the whiskey-drinking indian or the marine who went to war
Call him, drunken ira hayes, he wont answer anymore
Not the whiskey-drinking indian or the marine who went to war.
And ira started drinking hard, jail was often his home
They let him raise the flag there and lower it like youd throw a dog a bone
He died drunk early one morning, alone in the land he had fought to save
Two inches of water in a lonely ditch was the grave for ira hayes
Call him, drunken ira hayes, he wont answer anymore
Not the whiskey-drinking indian or the marine who went to war
Yes, call him, drunken ira hayes, he wont answer anymore
Not the whiskey-drinking indian or the marine who went to war.
Yes, call him, drunken ira hayes, but his land is still as dry
And his ghost is lying thirsty in the ditch where ira died
Call him, drunken ira hayes, he wont answer anymore
Not the whiskey-drinking indian or the marine who went to war
Yes, call him, drunken ira hayes, he wont answer anymore
Not the whiskey-drinking indian or the marine who went to war.
