I Better Be Good
If I ain't cool
My daddy gonna send me
To Military School
If I ain't nice
My girlie gonna freeze me
With cold shoulder ice
If I'm real late
My teacher gonna use me
For alligator bait
So, I better be good
I better be good
If I jump on the gas
The cops are gonna jump
All over my back
If I smoke too much
Doctor says he's gonna
Put my lungs in a crutch
If I'm caught without my pants
Consuelo's dad is gonna shoot
Until he sees me dance
So, I better be good
I had better be good
You better be nice
You better be nice
You better be nice
You better be nice
Nice, nice, nice - you better be
Nice, nice, nice - you better be
Nice, nice, nice - Uh, uh, uh, uh
Nice, nice, nice
Nice, nice, nice
Nice, nice, nice
You better be nice tonight
If I spray it on the seat
Lady gonna tie a big knot
In the meat
If I spewey too fast
Lover's gonna stick
My Wrangler in a cast
If zipper grabs skin
I'll know I had it out
When I shoulda kept it in
Ow.
I better be good
I better be good
I better be good
Ooh.
You better be nice
You better be nice
You better be nice
You better be nice
Nice, nice, nice - you better be
Nice, nice, nice - you better be
Nice, nice, nice - Uh, uh, uh, uh
Nice, nice, nice
I'd better be nice tonight - yeah
Nice, nice, nice
Nice, nice, nice
Nice, nice, nice

One Find
One (...) going down,
And then you slipped away,
One stop at a time (out of town),
We'll meet again someday.
Cause I,
I believe in love,
I still wish on,
Stars above,
I believe in love songs,
Yes, I think that they are real,
All you have to do is feel.
A chance missed for getting kissed,
I think there's so much more than this,
I will,
Guess I'll have to hold my breath and say..
That I,
I believe in fate,
I believe in good things coming to those who wait,
Although I'm anticipating late,
And all my hopes were beginning to fade,
When you will me,
How will we be,
This is only one,
Temporary find,
I'm sure before too long,
You will change your mind,
One find,
And this is only one of a many find,
I'm sure before too long,
You're gonna make up your mind.
I know all about it,
Well, I thought I did,
So I wrote a song about it,
And it goes a little something like this.
See now I,
I believe in love songs,
Yes, I think that they are real,
All you have to do, do, do,
You tell me,
All I have to do,
Say,
All we have to do,
Is feel,
Is feel,
Feel, so right,
Is feel,
Feel, so nice,
And this is so nice,
And this is so right,
And this is so right,
Right, find, and fine by me.

Say Something Nice
Say that you like me the way I am
Just take some time out to understand
It may not be much, but I do all I can
Say something nice
Id never do it to one of you
Id say something nice if it wasnt true
Id make you feel better when youre feeling blue
Id say something nice
Say something nice, only once or twice
Say something nice, only once or twice
Say something nice
I wanna hear that Im beautiful
But you wouldnt say it even if I were
Wearing my diamonds and a coat of fur
You wouldnt say nothin nice
Tell me you think that my hairs real nice
Dont stand around and just criticize
Cant you understand that when a person tries
You say something nice
And its oh so hard, oh so hard
To listen to the words that you say
Oh, say something nice, just once or twice
It wouldnt hurt, dont you see
I wanna hear something nice, say something nice
Say something nice, just once or twice
It dont hurt you at all, say something nice
Say something nice baby, only once or twice
Say something nice
Say something nice baby, only once or twice
Say something nice
Hey dont you hear me, hey dont you hear me
Hey dont you hear me, hey dont you hear me
Say something nice
Say something nice
And its oh so hard, and its oh so hard
And Im dying to hear what Ive never heard (fade out)

It Would Be So Nice
It would be so nice
It would be so nice
It would be so nice
To meet, sometime
Everybody wakes, and in the morning
Hot tea and cant stop yawning
Pass the butter please.
Have you ever read the daily standard?
Reading all about the plane thats landed
Upside down?
And no one knows what I did today
There can be no other way
But I would just like to say
It would be so nice
It would be so nice
It would be so nice
To meet sometime
It would be so nice
It would be so nice
It would be so nice
To meet sometime
Everybody cares about the weather
And everybody should know better
What a waste of time
Everybody lives beneath the ceiling
Living out a dream that sends them reeling
To a distant place
But no one knows what I did today
There can be no other way
But I would just like to say
It would be so nice
It would be so nice
It would be so nice
To meet sometime
It would be so nice
It would be so nice
It would be so nice
To meet sometime
It would be so nice
It would be so nice
It would be so nice
To meet sometime

Why Is It!
That…………
When you find a dress that’s a delight, it’s far too tight!
When you find just the right merchandise, it’s not in your size!
When you find a perfect fitting shoe, it’s in brown not blue!
When you find a shop that caters for your age, nothing in it is ‘the rage’!
When you search for nice elegant clothes, where you get them from, heaven knows!
You’re trying to look real smart, and not a tart, but the only designs are for the lower teens, .
At least there are jeans!
Oh, please don’t make us look so out of date, it’s not too late, to be an older beauty, a real cutie!
We’re certainly not past our ‘sale by’ date, never underrate us, MATE! ! !
There’s more to us than meets the eye, SWEETIE PIE! !

Act Nice & Gentle
You dont need no fancy clothes
Whered you get them, goodness knows?
Just show some civility.
Act nice, act nice and gentle to me.
I dont need no luxuries,
As long as you are understanding,
Im not difficult to please.
Act nice, act nice and gentle to me.
Well Im the kind of guy who likes
To take you as I find you
So throw away those false eyelashes and,
Act nice, act nice, baby.
Come on baby, hold my hand.
Come on baby, understand, you gotta
Act nice, act nice and gentle to me.
Act nice, act nice and gentle to me.
Come on baby, hold my hand.
Come on baby, understand, you gotta
Act nice, act nice and gentle to me.
Act nice, act nice and gentle to me.

Generosity during life is a very different thing from generosity in the hour of death; one proceeds from genuine liberality and benevolence, the other from pride or fear.

A compliment reflected
To praise the ‘generosity of soul’
in someone other – and that, to their face –
must be, to know that quality oneself;
and more, to be familiar in its use;
what splendour there of human character –
to link together these two noble words:
to recognise in others, one’s own soul;
and then, to see one’s generosity,
reflected in another’s qualities;
and then, to link the two as action seen,
joins mind, heart, soul, in generosity
in one that names and one that’s named, akin!
To show, and see, and praise, makes parity
in earth as is in heav’n: true charity.

Crime Dont Pay
I got drunk with a real nice guy last night
In a mood to talk or fight
And he said, whats the matter
You dont look like you do so bad
I said I just been taking for everything I had
Someone took a fancy to my wallet
And my coat
So what you smiling at - aint you been in that boat
Its something that there really should be
Something done about
He said dont knock it sonny
Thats the way I started out
And now I got a nice suit
I got a nice car
Its been a nice day
Dont tell me that crime dont pay
Okay

But Its A Nice Dream
(peter allen)
Well go away
Make love all day
Youll never stay
But its a nice dream
Just me for you
Our whole life through
It wont come true
But its a nice dream
Such a nice dream
So, kiss me goodbye
Im sorry that it went so fast
Our future has become our past
Too good we couldnt last
Oh, and now we see
With you and me
Ones gotta let go
But its a nice dream
Oh, baby, such a nice dream
So, kiss me goodbye
Im sorry that it went so fast
Our future has become our past
Too good we couldnt last
Mmm, and now we see
With you and me
Ones gotta let go
And let the other go free
Aah, in love well still be
Oh, it proves it was real
It was a real nice dream

My Canadian Chronicles 22
Sometimes we go to places
to meet strangers
whom have come into our lives
never knowing what we might find.
We are moved by their kindness
and their giving up their time
to take us here and there
wondering all the time
how we can repay their generosity.
We can give them our friendship,
but never feeling that is enough.
We can only offer what we can give
which in our case is not much
always hoping one day
we can treat them to the world.
Forever we will link hands
across the oceans wide
hoping all the time they will visit us
and we can extend the same generosity
that they have shown to us.

You Can't Keep A Job
Why should I let you sleep...
When,
I can't get a wink.
And,
You want even let me nod...
When I've worked real hard.
Why should I listen to you...
When,
You never listen to me.
And,
I find it real odd...
You can't keep a job!
But you tell me how you work,
All day!
And you say you have no time,
To play.
And...
When I turn away you tell me,
I'm being evil.
I'm just trying to do my best...
To get me some rest.
Why should I let you sleep...
When,
I can't get a wink.
And,
You want even let me nod...
When I've worked real hard.
Why should I listen to you...
When,
You never listen to me.
And,
I find it real odd...
You can't keep a job!
I find it real odd...
You can't keep a job!
Why should I listen to you...
When,
You never listen to me.
And,
I find it real odd...
You can't keep a job!
'Today? '
I find it real odd...
You can't keep a job!
'Today? '
I find it real odd...
You can't keep a job!
'Today? '
I find it real odd...
You can't keep a job!

Hooch
Its your last chance to find yourself in consequence.
Its so hard to find a simple reason.
Maybe Ill find myself with evidence.
Hate breeds with nothing believe in.
Another day another day in paradise.
If you only knew wouldnt it be nice.
Get away get away get away.
Im about to detonate.
Everything to lose
Nothing to prove
Just when everything has fallen to the ground
Gonna knock it down
Just believe me when I tell you its alright.
This time were on our way to tragedy
Forever bored and ourside from the in crowd.
Ive come to grip confronting my reality.
Numbstruck its me against the world now.
For all you know for all you know its not for real
Spare me the obsession that you deal.
Get away get away get away.
Im about to detonate.
Everything to lose
Nothing to prove
Just when everything has fall to the ground
Gonna knock it down
Just believe me when I tell you its alright.
Everything to lose
Nothing to prove
Just when everything has fall to the ground
Gonna knock it down
Just believe me when I tell you its alright.
I shouldve know right from the start
That youd take this trust and rip me apart.
Could be a change of heart.
Ill fall into you, but dont believe that this is real.
Ill fall into you, but dont believe that this is real.
Ill fall into you, but dont believe that this is real.
Ill fall into you, but dont believe that this is real

Reformation
When the slavery was abolished,
The equality was not envisaged.
The equality has been established,
Thanks to the masters’ generosity.
Applauded is the generosity.
It’ll translate itself to fraternity.
