Fashion is so close in revealing a person's inner feelings and everybody seems to hate to lay claim to vanity so people tend to push it away. It's really too close to the quick of the soul.

Gone to Far
I have done it now,
I have pushed him far enough,
I know that I have gone to far,
But the walls around me are building up,
I can’t see that how much he loves me,
I thought I was doing the right thing by pushing everyone away,
I hate myself for doing the wrong things,
I blame myself for causing the pain in everyone around me,
I am afraid to let anyone get close to me,
I surround myself with the guilt I feel inside,
On the inside I cry,
He is gone to far,
Far away from me,
I am ashamed of my life because its empty like my soul,

I am walking the streets at night,
bathing myself in the moonlight,
watching others go about their business,
so many people living in the darkness,
but this is not a dark and colourless land,
for you must try and understand,
that here your thoughts are divine,
as every moment is frozen in time.

for in darkness we’re all the same.

In Vanity Fair, as we bow and smile,
As we talk of the opera after the weather,
As we chat of fashion and fad and style,
We know we are playing a part together.
You know that the mirth she wears, she borrows;
She knows you laugh but to hide your sorrows;
We know that under the silks and laces,
And back of beautiful, beaming faces,
Lie secret trouble and grim despair,
In Vanity Fair.
In Vanity Fair, on dress parade,
Our colors look bright and our swords are gleaming;
But many a uniform's worn and frayed,
And most of the weapons, despite their seeming.
