Indecision regarding the choice among pleasures temporarily robs a man of inner peace. After due reflection, he attains joy by turning away from the lower pleasures and seeking the higher ones.

Your Acts Kept Practiced
While you were deciding,
Who was and who was not worthy...
The Earth beneath your feet,
Was being sold...
As you directed tactics.
While you were practicing,
Division and indecision...
Your own deceit taught you knew,
Was preparing to teach...
A lesson or two!
And now you seek,
A return to pleasures.
Those pleasures you fed...
To keep your nose up high,
And your disguise...
Being stripped from you,
Right before your eyes.
And now you seek,
A return to pleasures.
And without measure...
Your treasures have been downsized!
While you were deciding,
Who was and who was not worthy...
The Earth beneath your feet,
Was being sold...
As you directed tactics.
Your acts kept practiced...
Has entrapped you as one victimized.

To know the pains of power, we must go to those who have it; to know its pleasures, we must go to those who are seeking it. The pains of power are real; its pleasures imaginary.

Oh What Pleasures
Oh what pleasures I have had
with just my thoughts of you.
I could not say them all aloud
for none would think them true.
Only I can treasure these.
Only I can know
what these pleasures have done to me
and where they had me go.
Into the garden under a bough
with no one there to see,
under the starlit evening skies
with your arms enclosing me.
Onto the fields in broad daylight
trying to avoid the sun,
succumbing to nature's mating call
We two become as one.
Oh what pleasures my thoughts do give
but never would I say.
I keep them silently in my mind
and pray they're true someday.

Seeking For Happiness
Seeking for happiness we must go slowly;
The road leads not down avenues of haste;
But often gently winds through by ways lowly,
Whose hidden pleasures are serene and chaste.
Seeking for happiness we must take heed
Of simple joys that are not found in speed.
Eager for noon-time's large effulgent splendour,
Too oft we miss the beauty of the dawn,
Which tiptoes by us, evanescent, tender,
Its pure delights unrecognised till gone.
Seeking for happiness we needs must care
For all the little things that make life fair.
Dreaming of future pleasures and achievements
We must not let to-day starve at our door;
Nor wait till after losses and bereavements
Before we count the riches in our store.
Seeking for happiness we must prize this-
Not what will be, or was, but that which is.
In simple pathways hand in hand with duty
(With faith and love, too, ever at her side),
May happiness be met in all her beauty
The while we search for her both far and wide.
Seeking for happiness we find the way
Doing the things we ought to do each day.

Sleepwalking
(K.J.Garside C.Gray)
Trippy little Popsicle cod,
Did I get it quite right?
Broken got broke,
Was it good to smoke?
I am not sure,
Was it good to sing?
Was it right to love?
Was it wrong this turning that I took?
Does the song sound right?
Do I look alright?
I spent all night getting it right.
So you would love me more,
So you would love me more.
Pray for your indecision girl,
Run from your indecision girl,
Hide from your indecision girl.
Somnambulation up and down the road,
I lay in the garden with the cats,
Oh my how the grass did grow,
I watch the clock till the day did stop.
I pray for my lovers return,
I spent all night getting it right.
So you would love me more,
So you would love me more.
Pray for your indecision girl,
Burn for your indecision girl,
Blind from your indecision girl.

How Nice To Be A Naughty Frog!
Reading love in your eye's gives me pride.
I am floating on that lottery winners tide.
I am your ugly frog you lovingly kissed.
Turning into that handsome dream Prince.
How Nice To Be A Naughty Frog!
You treasure my sexy body essences pure.
Charming love pleasures divine for sure.
Our body odours sing affectionate songs.
Paradise concealed in your legs so strong.
How Nice To Be A Naughty Frog!
A stream flowing in paradise lasting forever.
Dashing country pursuits seeking pleasure.
Making love with an handsome Frog dear.
Your naked beauty outstanding and clear.
How Nice To Be A Naughty Frog!
Your tadpole eggs wriggling inside I adore.
Giggle on that dream cloud with you amore.
Pleasures amongst fragrant flowers all fun.
Under golden lightning of that sinking sun.
How Nice To Be A Naughty Frog!

I have a lot of pleasures that I think might be guilty for some people, but I don't really believe in "guilty" guilty pleasures. If I like chocolate, I'm going to eat it. And I won't eat it in a closet.

The pleasures of the world are deceitful; they promise more than they give. They trouble us in seeking them, they do not satisfy us when possessing them and they make us despair in losing them.

What Pleasure Is This To You, O God?
what pleasure is this to you, o god,
in creating and destroying me again and again?
are you not tired of this boring game?
you scatter around me a wealth of pleasures
all of them but beyond my tiny reach-
all my life i waste in greed and tears
i acquire nothing but wrinkles and silvery hair-
why not teach me the real pleasures of living?

The Pleasures of Ordinary Life
I've had my share of necessary losses,
Of dreams I know no longer can come true.
I'm done now with the whys and the becauses.
It's time to make things good, not just make do.
It's time to stop complaining and pursue
The pleasures of an ordinary life.
I used to rail against my compromises.
I yearned for the wild music, the swift race.
But happiness arrived in new disguises:
Sun lighting a child's hair. A friend's embrace.
Slow dancing in a safe and quiet place.
The pleasures of an ordinary life.
I'll have no trumpets, triumphs, trails of glory.
It seems the woman I've turned out to be
Is not the heroine of some grand story.
But I have learned to find the poetry
In what my hands can touch, my eyes can see.
The pleasures of an ordinary life.
Young fantasies of magic and of mystery
Are over. But they really can't compete
With all we've built together: A long history.
Connections that help render us complete.
Ties that hold and heal us. And the sweet,
Sweet pleasures of an ordinary life.

Golden Coins
(words & music by giant - baum - kaye)
Say youre mine, then ask me what you will
All your dreams, my darling Ill fulfill
Golden coins, I will bring to you
Silver trinkets and rubies too
In return dear Im begging you
For the pleasures of love
Ill bring gifts, like you never saw
Priceless garments that youll adore
Persian rugs to enhance your floor
For the pleasures of love
Darling, choose anything you please
Rich brocade, or woven tapestries
In exchange, I plead on my knees
For the pleasure of love
Golden coins, Ill place at your feet
Precious jewels to make life complete
All my treasures are yours my sweet
For the pleasures of love

The true lover of learning then must his earliest youth, as far as in him lies, desire all truth. . .He whose desires are drawn toward knowledge in every form will be absorbed in the pleasures of the soul, and will hardly feel bodily pleasures- -I mean, if he be a true philosopher and not a sham one. . .Then how can he who has the magnificence of mind and is the spectator of all times and all existence, think much of human life He cannot. Or can such a one account death fearful No indeed.
Celtic Sonant
Deep peace of the running wave to you
Deep peace of the flowing air to you
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you
Deep peace of the shining star to you
Deep peace of the son of peace to you
One man stood firm guarding cups overflowing
Brimful of memories and yesterdays dreams
He could never explain his own silent thunder
The ocean just blows rough at this time of year
And the wheel keeps on turning
The wheel keeps on turning
The wheel keeps on turning
Turning around
Away we will sail with all our flags flying
Too many changes can cause us delay
Each star in the sky is there for a reason
Making it so bright for this time of day
And the wheel keeps on turning
The wheel keeps on turning
The wheel keeps on turning
This fool made it round
