We will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind. In the faith that looks through death, in years that bring the philosophic mind.

Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower,
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind.

Philippians 4: 13
The strength to resist the night
The strength to endure the day
The strength to keep righteous paths in sight
The strength to take them without delay
The strength to find a purpose in life
The strength to find the truths it brings
The strength to kick away from strife
The strength to stabalize the rock it clings
The strength to light a friend’s day up
The strength to resist wrathful foes
The strength to fill a stranger’s dry cup
The strength to shun sin when it opposed
The strength to feel a injured man’s pain
The strength to hold a reject’s hand
The strength to act against any gain
The strength to love without demand
The strength to understand that our King
Has blessed us with more than we can contain
Therefore regardless what time may bring
The strength will continue to reign

Ain't Gonna Grieve
by Bob Dylan
Well, I ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
And ain't a-gonna grieve no more.
Come on brother, join the band,
Come on sisters, clap your hands,
Tell everybody that's in the land,
You ain't a-gonna grieve no more.
Well, I ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
And ain't a-gonna grieve no more.
Brown and blue and white and black,
All one color on the one-way track,
We got this far and ain't a-goin' back
And ain't a-gonna grieve no more.
Well, I ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
I ain't a-gonna grieve no more.
We're gonna notify your next of kin,
You're gonna raise the roof until the house falls in.
If you get knocked down get up again,
We ain't a-gonna grieve no more.
Well, I ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
I ain't a-gonna grieve no more.
We'll sing this song all night long,
Sing it to my baby from midnight on.
She'll sing it to you when I'm dead and gone,
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more.
Well, I ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
I ain't a-gonna grieve no more

Into The Fire
The sky was falling and streaked with blood
I heard you calling me, then you disappeared into the dust
Up the stairs, into the fire
Up the stairs, into the fire
I need your kiss, but love and duty called you someplace higher
Somewhere up the stairs, into the fire
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
You gave your love to see, in fields of red and autumn brown
You gave your love to me and lay your young body down
Up the stairs, into the fire
Up the stairs, into the fire
I need you near, but love and duty called you someplace higher
Somewhere up the stairs, into the fire
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
It was dark, too dark to see, you held me in the light you gave
You lay your hand on me
Then walked into the darkness of your smoky grave
Up the stairs, into the fire
Up the stairs, into the fire
I need your kiss, but love and duty called you someplace higher
Somewhere up the stairs, into the fire
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love
May your love bring us love

Yourself... And A Belief
Affirm in yourself... in the strength you have
The mind and the physical power you have
To command your own world, each day
Understand in the strength that you have deep inside,
And your faith will help you show the way.
Learn what you have from yesterday
Believe in what tomorrow will bring
Follow a patient beating heart carry you through
Everything will work out for best if you trust and believe
And there is no limit to what you can do...
With God's grace and blessings
And true faith that will make you more successful

What do you mean by faith? Is faith enough for Man? Should he be satisfied with faith alone? Is there no way of finding out the truth? Is the attitude of faith, of believing in something for which there can be no more than philosophic proof, the true mark of a Christian?

Grieve Not
Grieve not for me that I, have stepped outside the pale.
Man's death is not a void, a thick congeal of night.
The ground whereon I stand, is just beyond the veil;
A firmament of soul, illumined by the Light.
Grieve not for me that, I transcend this human dream,
For I ascend above, the tumult, din and blare.
Come visit my gravesite, as often as you deem,
You'll visit my remains, but I will be elsewhere.
Death is disunion, a spiritual flight, of soul from sense.

The Gift of Faith
It is said, “Faith is a gift from above,
God-given to those who believe”.
In fact, Faith is to all mankind given,
But for some it remains hidden
In the recesses of the mind
Until they seek it and find
That it is, indeed, God-given.
Faith is often discovered
After some anguish and doubt;
But whichever way is followed
That way is lit by its light.
No one has gone astray
Who sought to find a way
To uncover a gift so great.
But how does one make a start,
And seek a gift hidden from sight,
When there are no signs to mark
A way where all around is dark?
Here is a useful suggestion:
Take the highway of persuasion,
Never the by-way of refutation,
Don’t deride the Faith of another,
Nor dismiss Faith altogether,
Never cease from seeking,
Or ever despair of finding
The goal of your search,
The gift within your reach.

Can you look beyond the shallow
Can you look beyond the shallow?
To find a deeper meaning which is true.
Can you look beyond the shadows?
To find a philosophy for you
Can you find hope in times of madness?
to bring you through your despair
can you find strength and guidance
in the books over there
can you find faith
in actions good works and deeds done
can you find solace when the game is lost and not won
can keep both eyes open
when others with prejudice are opposed
can you find meaning where there seems to be none or it is supposed
, then my friend you’ll never lose and the battle will be half won.
For how we perceive and what we believe
Makes us whole
a heart that looks beyond the shallow
will find what it looks for it will find its goal.

The Strength Within
The dark clouds are filling the skies.
The rain will soon settle in.
My sorrow then begins to rise.
Find strength within, find strength within.
All of the mountains are steeper ahead,
And I've struggled thust far I've been.
I calmly lower my head.
Find strength within, find strength within.
The world around me is dying.
Surrender is conquering a thousand men.
The life within me is crying.
Find strength within, find strength within.
I use to wonder when I'd walk my last mile,
Until I found Jesus, my friend.
Now there's a reason to smile!
I've found strength within, I've found strength within.

Lend me your strength
Please lend me your strength
until I find my own
Without you the pain is amplified
not sure if I can do it on my own
But you tell me I'm strong
and I really do want to believe you
But I need to see it in myself
and that's the hardest thing to do
Lately I've been feeling like a pebble
stagnant and forgotten on the ground
But you could always pick me up
bring me back to the here and now
So please lend me your strength
at least until I find some of my own
without you the pain has multiplied
not sure if I'll survive on my own
But you tell me I'm a fighter
you believe I can conquer anything
this is just a test of my strength
you say I have to find my wings
Where would I be without you
my world would be a twisting labyrinth
but deep down I know I'm stronger than this
through your belief I found my strength

My Faith
My Faith is all I need: it allows all that I believe;
There are no limits, so long as my heart and mind may conceive.
Surely it has been tested-necessary to know it exists-
Yet, when the calamitous clouds clear, its strength persists.
Faith is my only refuge, through a long, lonely night-
In an otherwise perpetual darkness, Faith is my only light!
This is all the aid I need, to suffer through any travesty-
Faith is my salvation, as I exalt in His Majesty!
Faith is my dream weaver, as I aspire to greater height:
The strength I possess, should I need to exercise might;
It resides in the safety of my heart, soul, and mind
And allows that I may leave even most grievous pain, behind;
Faith shines, upon my ultimate earthly destinations-
It is answer to all-past sorrows, current concerns, and future jubilations!

A Plea
Take a look inside yourself,
and you'll see there's so much left.
No matter all the pain you feel.
Your aching heart is made of steel.
Your well of strength is deep and real.
Though you'll need some time to grieve.
The intensity of this pain will leave.
You still have so much left to do.
Don't let the suffering put an end to you.
Continue on with strength of mind.
With your worries left behind.
With a prayer and mighty soul.
You will never lose control.
Put these thoughts of death to rest.
You've still not seen the very best.
Think of all the freinds you'll miss.
Plus all of those you've not yet kissed.
It's not the end my precious freind.
Your splendid life has just began.

In Life, In Death
The decades come, the decades go,
Events like blurs fly by
And tracking us, each day we know,
Death makes us hear him sigh...
He won't give up while we still breathe,
He hates the good we do,
Yet loves it when we're forced to grieve,
Though we may battle through...
By faith, yes, faith and faith alone,
This pilgrim soul endures,
Though now it lives here on its own,
This saved soul still adores...
Despite the pain and suffering
That old age brings in spades,
This sacred soul's recovering,
For God's love never fades...
In life, in death, this soul persists,
Rejecting doubts and fears,
Selecting truths, faith still exists,
Despite the lonely years...
How could you know the things I've seen,
The things these ears have heard,
The good and bad and in-between,
The kind and callous word?
But know this now, while Death still haunts,
Eternal life is mine...
Regardless of the way Death taunts,
Its powers I decline...
I'll live this life, God's gracious gift,
Defiant to the end!
Till God gives my saved soul a lift
To meet the Sinners' Friend...

A Prayer
My God (oh, let me call Thee mine,
Weak, wretched sinner though I be),
My trembling soul would fain be Thine;
My feeble faith still clings to Thee.
Not only for the Past I grieve,
The Future fills me with dismay;
Unless Thou hasten to relieve,
Thy suppliant is a castaway.
I cannot say my faith is strong,
I dare not hope my love is great;
But strength and love to Thee belong;
Oh, do not leave me desolate!
I know I owe my all to Thee;
Oh, take the heart I cannot give!
Do Thou my strength - my Saviour be,
And make me to Thy glory live.

A Test Of Faith
Faith you profess your faith.
But when your neighbor
is busy stoning you to death
where then will your faith be?
Is your faith only for the favorable?
Is death threatened a faith turning factor?
Is sin supplied an alluring aphrodisiac savored?
Where then is your faith when tested?
Where then is your God when you need not?
