It is critical that parents and other trusted adults initiate conversations with kids about underage drinking well in advance of the first time they are faced with a decision regarding alcohol.

What's Wrong With Kid Now?
Whats wrong with kids today? The way they speak, they don't care,
Oh what's wrong with kids, they don't even like anymore to share;
Some have become bullies, and like to cause harm and trouble,
Where back years ago, when I was young, kids would would be so humble.
What's wrong with young people, They don't care if they get caught,
Swearing, lying, cheating, Doing drugs, they'll not do what theyre taught;
Some underage caught driving and end up killing someone they don't know,
But fail to take the blame, please God, let them see that others know.
What's wrong with some young adults, who have become parents too soon,
Then leave their young ones unattended, and babies left in their room;
While the parents are out doing drugs and drink, not caring at all,
Please God, they need to grow up and see, they have taken a fall.
What's wrong with other people, from many different places,
Coming to our country, who cause strife, for strangers faces;
Why can't they think of becoming a very trusting, caring friend,
Please God. Make them see, the world has gone round the bend.
What's wrong with country leaders, who bring shame to their country,
By stirring up strife in their party, being dishonest, to so many;
Why don't they realize they'll be caught, when they don't expect too,
Please God, help us to get honest leaders, to be honest and be true.

If Children Ruled The World
If Children Ruled The World,
Parents, Adults and Teachers will go to bed at 8: 00
and wake up at 7: 00 to dress up for school.
At school children will treat them like nothing,
and Parents, Adults and Teachers will have nothing to do or say.
In the morning at school, they would have to line up like chrildrens used to do like every single mornings.
If Children Ruled The World,
Lollies will be for everyone even adults and parents.
Parents and Adults will have such awful rotten teeth just like all children used to have in their teeths.
Every mornings right after adults brushes their teeths or hairs, the children would have to check if their hairs and teeths are alright.
In School Trips children goes for free but the adults has to always pay.
If Children Ruled The World,
the world wou; d be treated badly.
The children would be rich and adults would be poor and always ask for children for some money.
There will be no clean water,
No food for the adults to eat except lollies.
If Children Ruled The World,
WE'LL ALL BE IN A JAM!

Why Did I Have To Die
they promised they'd be there
for their friends wedding day
they promised they'd be there
for their friends wedding day
but they drank and drove anyway
they crashed and died before the end of the day
and deaths hand took them away
their family standing waving them away
they said they'd be with us forever
they said friendship
is the that keeps us all together
when we were kids
laughing and talking away
adults would ask us about drinking
and never knew what to say
now were older
still laughing and talking away
but when adults ask us about drinking
we say were doin it every day
why don't we just say
yea
im drinkin away my life
i might as well be slitting my throat with a knife
and erase my future kids and wife
so now im gonna get in this car
and drive
when i told you i'd never do it
i guess i lied
now im crashed and dear
and why
because to everyone i ever knew
i fed a lie
and after the crash
death stared me in the eye
and refused
when i asked to say bye
and as i floated away
i watched my friends and family cry
then i asked myself
why did i have to be stupid
why did i have to die

Sonnet: Adults
Adults are selfish beings of the earth;
Adults don’t forgive/ forget tho’ mature;
Adults are creatures adamant by birth;
Adults are jealous beings, by nature.
Adults have arguing tongues till the end;
Adults misunderstand others with ease;
Adults can neither condescend nor bend;
Adults cannot adjust with/others please.
Adults are sinful in thought, word and deed
Adults are the ones, misguiding the youth;
Adults are beings revengeful indeed;
Adults can speak effortlessly untruth.
Adults advise but remember old fights;
Adults cannot give up their insane rights!

Family Gatherings
Meeting at my Grandma's house at noon
Its the same thing everytime
Kids get in line to eat before anyone else
the kids sit at a separate table than the adults
After lunch everyone goes outside and plays something
If not outside then everyone sits in the family room
Conversations about anything and everything go on
This tradition makes my family what it is
Everyone cares about everyone and we would not trade these lunches for anything
Tradition is what my family is about.

Children And Adults
Obnoxious children fiercely chose the worst,
Worried by the panicky messages, they pleaded
For rest and peace so as to grow colossal, gigantic
Like parents of a certain gender that they trusted.
Elegant and glamorous were their parents,
Tender-loving-care became the guidance,
For parents respected the large children
Like a spider respects the grass.
A deafening roar was noticed by the teachers of the school
And a faint hissing sound inspired the children to cry for fear,
Needing the help of the adults, needing and needing care,
Just so as to learn what scare to avoid at what time of the year.

Parents Vs Children
Things that i don't understand in this world is that why do some people
get into relationship, getting married, enjoying life and making love.
But when it comes to children or when they already have kids, they
could not accept their responsibilities as parents. They do have
regrets of having kids especially if the kids are naughty, giving problem
or giving them headaches. They always beating, shouting, saying bad words to the kids saying wish you never exist, wish you never been born.
Instead of being calm, giving advice, doing good things which would make their children happy and be proud to have good parents.
Instead of thinking good ideas which would make them close to each other
.
Child is a child, they need more time with their parents. They need
attention, care, and love. Children are curious to everything, they need
to know antyhing as part of growing up. They need the guidance of
parents, but what I see nowadays is different. Parents just give material things to show their love for their kids.
Some parents just go out to parties, shopping, prefer to hang out with their friends rather than their kids. Then they just leave the children
to the nannies/babysitter.
Parents make their children be far from them instead children to get
close to the nannies who always there for them and give the love to the children. Parents must be a role model for the children, but what i see
now is that children do as what their parents do, they become more liberated.
There are also some parents who give up for their children. Some choose their own happiness, they don't like to stay at home with their kids. especially if thier husband dont have time for them too. the tendency, both couple would have a problem that result to divorce.
Where is the love that they shared? where is the promises and vows they had?

Poor Poor Kids
Be quiet! Don't make a sound!
Speak when you're spoken to!
What awful fearful bounds
Speaking only on cue
Poor poor kids
You can't go out and play today!
It's punishment, unfitting the crime
This parental power display
For kids, like serving hard-time
Poor poor kids
Adults wield such power
They must be listened to
They can their poor kids cower
As they dim their kids world view
Power seeds have been sown
Hopefully they'll not sprout
So when kids are fully grown
Their kids will not self doubt

Random Thoughts
i
i YET have to
see a little black girl
wishing that
she is white.
ii
that little brown girl
over there
sitting in one of the
dark corners of her own
messy tropical world
wish that her skin
is white her hair blond
her parents
either British or
American
iii
i wish that kids
shall remain as kids forever
not minding
the color of the skin
when they become
full blown
adults.
