There's no sense talking about priorities. Priorities reveal themselves. We're all transparent against the face of the clock.
Every Hour I Have Is Precious
You said you would be here.
And gave a time when you would arrive.
That time passed.
I did not get upset.
I elected to believe you had other priorities.
Since you did not call me to confirm that!
A week had gone by...
And you left a message on my answering service.
I did not call right away,
Since at the time I had priorities.
I called you when I could.
And when I expressed that...
You believed I was upset!
I was not upset at all.

What Are You Laboring For?
What do you labor for my friend; what is your purpose in the end?
Do you labor for a present need, or do you just work to succeed?
Do you punch in a clock for men, to then work eight hours or ten?
Do you put forth effort each day, in a place that you’ll never stay?
These can be asked by all of us, until these bodies return to dust.
But what about time men spend, towards an eternity with no end?
Maybe many aren’t mindful of, the priorities from The Lord above,
Priorities God has for you and me, which extend well into eternity.
When men stand before The Lord, what about all the labor before,
Done while on this earthly sphere, all labored for what down here?
When this life upon earth is past, what in eternity for you will last?
Will all of the effort made by us, simply be blown away like dust?
All of this life is futile, my friend, when your life comes to an end,
Except all of the labor done, for Jesus Christ, God’s Eternal Son.
Wages we don’t get from The Lord, but, from Him, eternal reward,
It’s not only lasting, but its worth, far exceeds the wages on earth.
So why continue to labor in vain, when you can have eternal gain?
Acknowledge God in all you do, and watch what God does in you,
As He stores you treasure above, He fills you with desire and love,
To serve His Son unceasingly, as He prepares us for life eternally.

I used to live the luxury life
A new house, three cars to drive
Steppin' over the credit line

Procrastination vs Priority
If it weren’t for procrastination, I’d have no alone time at all.
Between family, friends and work I need some time to stall…
Just a few moments for myself to think and cleanse my mind.
If I attend to all my priorities they’ll be impossible to find.
Parties, holiday times and vacations are all lots of fun,
But preparing and recovering from them keeps me on the run.
Then there are job duties with meetings and work at night.
It seems like alone time may never be within my sight.
I have a list of things to do like a garage sale planned for years
Or annual medical and dental exams postponed due to my fears.
Tax forms mold upon my desk though April springs anew;
I've done nothing but strain my brain keeping them close in view.
The creation of procrastination is a concept not always bad.
It provides opportunities to review all the priorities that I’ve had.
If it can rearrange my goals and thus provide that alone time,
How can procrastination be called anything but simply sublime?

I think we lost a great deal of sympathy and support with the way in which the crisis was handled, most importantly I think when we appeared to be grasping for too much at one time instead of identifying our priorities in a much more responsible fashion.

Priorities To Keep As They Are Kept
I don't care what that's about.
To argue what it shouldn't be.
Or what's been said by who...
Between the 'he-said-she-sayers'.
That's their investment.
Not mine.
And I am not the one to pass judgement,
Or find time to do it.
However...
Maybe one day they will find,
The decisions that they have made...
Brought no benefits to their advantage.
Who knows?
I am grateful to have taken chances,
With faith that is still in place.
I know what that's about.
What I am about.
And how I've been tested.
With a healing done,
From mental and physical wounds.
Those experiences are vivid.
No one can accuse me of not being pleasant,
When I exit from their presence.
