We are very fond of blaming the poor for destroying the environment. But often it is the powerful, including governments, that are responsible.

I Will Over Come, With Adversity In Full Swing
I will overcome.
With adversity in full swing
I will rewrite it all.
Including who I am.
Destroying the victim
Becoming the savior.
There is just no victim here
Never again.
Listen to me a I scream.
My lungs are exploding.
No more mere whispers.
No more falling on deaf ears.
Killing every once of doubt.
Dedication with greatest sensation.
A fabulous celebration.
I will overcome.
With adversity in full swing
I will rewrite it all.
Including who I am.
Destroying the victim
Becoming the savior.
There is just no victim here
Never again.
My soul burns as never before
This is my new heaven
This is my new hell.
And all I want is more.
An undying hunger as the clock strikes eleven
This is no longer my dirty dusty old shell.
I will overcome.
With adversity in full swing
I will rewrite it all.
Including who I am.
Destroying the victim
Becoming the savior.
There is just no victim here
Never again.
I'm no longer a man in hiding
I am a man now confiding
With every secret we go deeper
The mountain is now getting steeper
So I tie my boot
And I ready my rifle to shoot
I will overcome.
With adversity in full swing
I will rewrite it all.
Including who I am.
Destroying the victim
Becoming the savior.
There is just no victim here
Never again.
My dreams are in my sights
My passage with spiritual rites
Bound to nothing and no one
Oh the possibilities that have come
Everyone looks better then the next.
I am attacking another T-Rex.
I will overcome.
With adversity in full swing
I will rewrite it all.
Including who I am.
Destroying the victim
Becoming the savior.
There is just no victim here
Never again.

Since the governments are in the pockets of businesses, who's going to control this most powerful institution? Business is more powerful than politics, and it's more powerful than religion. So it's going to have to be the vigilante consumer.

War
Tragedy spawned by powerful and greedy;
Nurtured by innocent, ignorant and needy.
Politician and general safe behind buffers
As each patriotic soldier fights and suffers.
If not for the poor, who would ever wage war?
It’s waged so powerful egos can be staged.
Each time a confused, lonely soldier has to die,
Power and money are the real reasons why.
How can destroying a country and its population
Ever help inspire and unite it as a nation?
In America democracy’s a product of so few years
Built on a bloody Civil War and oceans of tears.
Through war all classes think they can be winners,
But spoils are just for the powerful and their sinners.

The Human Race!
to overthrow the yoke
of oppression, we have to
first come to an honest
assessment of where we are!
not only where we are,
but how we got here...
we cannot put off the blame
on other people, governments,
or even corporations! where
we are is where we've allowed
ourselves to be!
when we sit silently by and
watch our human rights be taken;
when we allow profit at the expense
of people to become the norm....
when we allow the rape of the
environment to pad the pockets
of convenience... when we go to
war, blindly following, with our
heads stuck in the sand... we are
responsible.
apathy is the unpardonable sin!
to be free, to fully realize freedom,
we have to work at it... both as
individuals, and in community!
we are one family, often dysfunctional,
but always one family... one family,
one race, THE HUMAN RACE!

I don't accept at all the quite popular argument that the press is responsible for the monarchy's recent troubles. The monarchy's responsible for the monarchy's recent troubles. To blame the press is the old thing of blaming the messenger for the message.

Machine Churning Above
I do not care for political scandal and intrigues
because only those with the same moral guilt,
the same capacity for wrongdoing, throw the
stones, whenever they come to power they
become worse dictators
People blaming others for what is wrong just wait
to sing their own song of corruption - I appreciate
them playing games and wish them luck; whistle-
blowers take over from those they sack, no reform
possible in a world where
The morally pure never accuse and never enter
politics, the poor will always be helpless as moguls
play with money and might, I refuse to join any camp
as the game is to become the next powerful despot
and use the poor masses
As fodder to feed the machine churning above, no
self-righteous person can accuse another as we all
have the same ability to commit the same crimes
given that the same circumstances apply to us all…

Our Level Of Responsibility!
our level of responsibility
far deeper than our occasional
stabs at compassion, and truth...
when we sit down to eat, and eat
far more than we need, and throw
the leftovers out... we are
responsible fot the hungry!
when we go to sleep at night, in
houses too big and too plush, we
are responsible for the homeless...
when we drive our SUV's around for
no reason at all, burning excess
gas, we are responsible for the
oil spills...
when we vote people in office,
whose agenda is profit at all costs,
we are responsible for countries
invaded...
when we turn our backs and walk away,
or stick our heads in the sand, we are
responsible for the loss of human rights...
when we allow the banning of books, and
legislation against free speech, we are
responsible for ignorance, and allow
ourselves to be enslaved!
responsible, every thought, every intent,
every action!

I'm crazy about Grant: his character, his nature, his science in fighting and everything else. But I don't like the idea that he never accepted the blame for anything, always found someone else to blame for any mistake that was ever made, including blaming Prentiss for Shiloh.

Blaming Poverty On The Poor
Give us your deprived, your malleable muddled masses
hoping for a gentler taskmaster
Welcome to the multi-trillion dollar industry, Poverty
A.K.A, cheapest labor force
Poverty works, never ever unemployed
A much needed commodity to justify
White-collar crime classes
Teaching dastardly deeds—to procure monetary needs-
fostering avarice greed
Give us your deprived, your malleable muddled masses
hoping for a gentler taskmaster
Welcome to the multi-trillion dollar industry, Poverty
A.K.A., cheapest labor force
Poverty creates jobs for those financing the societal
Institution of ya godda pay more taxes
Blaming Poverty on the poor
Look! what Enron did to those less fortunate
Blaming Poverty on the poor
Did not corporations want a billion dollar welfare check
Blaming Poverty on the poor
Blaming Poverty on the poor
Give us your deprived, your malleable muddled masses
hoping for a gentler taskmaster
Welcome to the multi-trillion dollar industry, Poverty
A.K.A., cheapest labor force
No penance just punishment augmenting the pillar of economic pillaging
Poor people put in the pillory from the political pulpit
Poverty is prime property
Poverty pimps portrayed as political preachers purely punitive but polite
The pluralization of Poverty provides prestige of the patricians
Poverty, the promissory note from the bureaucratic infidel
The Truth will tell—the truth will tell
Poverty the patriotic prisoner on trial for treason

Provide water and air which is clean and pure
Water
Is the most important
Need of life
The miracle liquid
Is scarce and polluted
Specially in the villages
The poor and needy
Are force to drink it in plenty
Science and technology
Is being used more and more
By all the countries
Underdeveloped nations
In their urge
To become developed
Use resources
In an unbalanced manner
Nobody bothers
About the poor villagers
Industries of rich and powerful
Pollute environment and soil
Toxifying the water underneath
With chemicals like chlorine
Rivers and lakes too face their ire
Poor people forced to drink
The same water
Causing diseases
In the poor and needy
What was provided by god?
Free of cost, is now bought
Enormous profits are earned
In the name of water,
Pure and healthy
I ask everybody
To wake and rise
Force the rulers
To use their might
Provide water and air
Which is clean and pure
Develop water purifiers
Cheap and handy
Distribute them to the needy
Save poor people from
Disease and dying

It Is Time To Take Responsibility
It is time to take responsibility.
And stop blaming those,
Who created such a monumental mess.
~This we agree.
But those who protest our forward steps,
Just happen to be the very same people...
Who wish us not to succeed.
They want others to believe...
Their incompetence is missed.
And those choosing to ignore them,
And their pretensiousness...
Need to be convinced.
With a powerful blockading obstructing facts.
By a showing of their ignorance...
That keeps a stagnation intact.~
It is time to take responsibility.
And stop blaming those,
Who created such a monumental mess.
~Have you come forward to confess?
Or are you joining us to have this addressed?
Let me dropp this clue on you...
Most of us came out of the womb prepared.
And not to dance like Fred Astaire.~
