If we should ever get to Heaven, we shall find nobody to reproach us for being black, or for being slaves.

Black History
Boom, boom, boom!
That was in 1530 to the Slave Trade;
My Mama told me so,
My Papa told me so,
In the name of our ancestors gone by;
Slaves for arms,
Slaves for powder,
Slaves for hardware,
Slaves for spirits;
Boom, boom, boom! !
All over the West Coast of Africa!
Today, i am a Blackman to tell you a story.
Black History, the Black African, the Black Race;
Of my ancestors gone by,
Boom, boom, boom!
Black head, black sugar, black coffee;
Where are the true identities of the Blacks?
That was in 1530 to the Slave trade.
Black History, black love;
A Black Race to a call.
Tap your fingers and do think about it,
My Mama told me so;
Bllack shoes, black phones;
With the Black History gone too soon,
My Papa told me so.
Black hair, black eyes;
The black coal to steam up the engines!
In the name of my ancestors gone by;
But, where are the black pens of love to share?
Do think about this and learn from it,
Boom, boom, boom!
A Blackman in the house to tell us a story;
Where is William Wilberforce?
Where is Thomas Buxton?
Where is Granville Sharp?
What about the Slaves? !
These men need to tell us more;
They killed my ancestors softly without compensations!
Black love, black stream, a black home to live in;
Like 'Naughty By Nature',
I've got 'Queen Latifah' to tell us more.
Of the Black Songs,
Of the Black race,
With a Black-Limo to keep us going;
This Slave Trade was a Black History to us all.
Boom, boom, boom!
Do contact Africa to learn more from this;
Like a black bird, a black cat and the black fingers! !
Do contact Africa to see things for yourselves.
Oh Blackman,
When are they going to admit to what they did?
Like a Black Ninja in the house,
Do know your history before you destroy yourselves.
Boom, boom, boom!
The very sound of the Slaves marching on;
This is our colour and, we have to respect it.
Black Cop, Black Soldier;
A Black Marine to a call,
We still have more to learn from each other.
Black wine, Black Doctor, Black People;
Know all about your history.
About where you came from and,
Where you are today;
Black seed, black marble, Black Prophets!
We still have more to learn.
Slaves for arms,
Slaves for hardware,
Slavces for powder,
Slaves for spirits;
Boom, boom, boom! ! !
Black beauty, black sea, black pot;
Black Nurse, black melody, black stamp;
Know your history always.
Of the freed Slaves from England to Sierra Leone,
With those from America to Liberia! ! ! !
Today the Black Panther is here to stay like,
The Black Writer.

It is the action of an uninstructed person to reproach others for his own misfortune; of one entering instruction, to reproach himself; and one perfectly instructed, to reproach neither others nor himself.

The Great Sin Of Prejudice Against Color
Children,
who made your skin white?
Was it not God?
Who made mine black?
Was it not the same God?
Am I to blame, therefore,
because my skin is black?
Does it not cast a reproach
on our Maker
to despise a part of His children,
because He has been pleased
to give them a black skin?
Indeed, children, it does;
and your teachers ought to tell you so,
and root up, if possible,
the great sin of prejudice
against color from your minds.
While Sabbath School Teachers
know of this great sin,
and not only do not teach
their pupils that it is a sin,
but too often indulge in it themselves,
can they expect God
to bless them or the children?
Does not God love colored children
as well as white children?
And did not the same Savior
die to save the one as well as the other?
If so,
white children must know
that if they go to Heaven,
they must go there
without their prejudice against color,
for in Heaven
black and white
are one in the love of Jesus.
Now children,
remember what Sojourner Truth has told you,
and thus get rid of your prejudice,
and learn to love colored children
that you may be
all the children of your Father
who is in Heaven.

Heaven Is
Heaven is a woman
Dressed in blue
And heaven is knowing
Someone who is in love with you
Heaven is a television
Left on all day
And heaven is making love
And then running away
Heaven is
Heaven is
Heaven is believing
What your eyes dont see
And heaven is christy canyon
Falling in love with me
Heaven in waking up
To be a millionaire
And heaven is spending the whole next day
Just walking on air
Heaven is
Heaven is
Heaven is
Heaven is
All these things you say and do
It doesnt mean that much to you
But all these things you said to me
The memories wont set me free
Heaven is a dream
When it wont come true
And heaven is the sky
When its always blue
Heaven is the girl
With short black hair
And heaven is a woman
With enough to spare
Heaven is
Heaven is
Heaven is
Heaven is
Heaven is
And heaven is taking a holiday
And heaven is having you here to stay
And heaven is never ever saying sorry
And heaven is as easy as abc
And heaven is your eyes when theyre always blue
And heaven is just right here with you
Heaven is
Heaven is
Heaven is

Hidden Sorrow
Only because i smile,
Doesn't prove my glee,
For my hidden sorrow,
Is now controlling me,
This sea of melancholy,
Is slowly drowning me,
Under the burning crimson sky,
And screeching black stars,
the contempt that boils within,
Creates only a greater sorrow,
This contempt for myself,
And the reproach I give myself,
This reproach I can't bear,
This abuse I can't withstand,
the torment and pain,
Feds my growing hidden sorrow,

Heaven Help Me
If you want it you can have it
Thats what you said
But I dont want the things that you leave behind
Take the pictures, take the windows and the walls
But baby wont you leave me my peace of mind
Oh such a waste of time
Oh such a waste
I still want you baby
Heaven help me heaven help me
Talk to strangers talk to strangers
Heaven help me
Over you
Help me over you
I cant seem to take these changes
Everything reminds my heart of you
Thought the first time was the last time
Of being apart
Now I find Im having to search again
Itll happen

Come together
I just wish somebody would tell me when
Oh such a waste of time
Oh such a waste
I still want you baby

Heaven Is One Step Away
By eric clapton
We searched all through the night.
I couldnt find it; you couldnt find it.
I knew something wasnt right.
I couldnt find it; you couldnt find it.
And they say heaven is one step away.
Heaven is one step away.
And then there came the dawn:
I couldnt find it; you couldnt find it.
I just had to carry on.
I couldnt find it; you couldnt find it.
Chorus
We didnt leave till a quarter to three.
All your friends, they were laughing at me.
I dont get it, I dont understand;
Who is that man holding your hand?
First verse
Chorus
Heaven is one step away.
Heaven is one step away.
Heaven is one step away.
Heaven is one step away.

Heaven Help Us
Heaven help the child who never had a home,
Heaven help the girl who walks the street alone
Heaven help the roses if the bombs begin to fall,
Heaven help us all.
Heaven help the black man if he struggles one more day,
Heaven help the white man if he turns his back away,
Heaven help the man who kicks the man who has to crawl,
Heaven help us all.
Heaven help us all, heaven help us all, help us all.
Heaven help us, Lord, hear our call when we call
Oh, yeah!
Heaven help the boy who won't reach twenty-one,
Heaven help the man who gave that boy a gun.
Heaven help the people with their backs against the wall,
Lord, Heaven help us all.
Heaven help us all, heaven help us all, heaven help us all, help us all.
Heaven help us, Lord, hear our call when we call.
Now I lay me down before I go to sleep.
In a troubled world, I pray the Lord to keep, keep hatred from the mighty,
And the mighty from the small,
Heaven help us all.
Oh, oh, oh, yeah!
Heaven help us all.

Heaven and Hell
the gambling house
god is outside
counting
who would win his abode
he knows too
who will win and lose
the roulette, the bucclarrete, the black jacks
let them in to find their hell and heaven anyway
if that is what they want
the church
god is inside
quietly
among his flock
sitting right inside them
he knows too who will win his abode
the real apostles from the judases
the hypocrites
scribes and pharisees
let them in anywhere to find their heaven and hell
everything is a gamble
including heaven and hell
and god
the master of the game

Heaven Only Knows
(heaven only knows...)
Oh, I know its strange
But I think that its about to change
So Ill take the chance
To get back into the straight again
Chorus:
Heaven only knows (Im really on the level)
Heaven only knows (Im trying to find a way)
Heaven only knows (Im walking down the straight & lonely road today)
(again...)
(heaven only knows...)
Now the sun will shine
And Im gonna work it out this time
And before the light
All I gotta take is one more night.
Repeat chorus
Heaven only knows, heaven only knows
Heaven only knows, heaven only knows
Heaven only knows, heaven only knows
Heaven only knows, heaven only knows
Heaven only knows.
(heaven only knows)
As the hours go by
I can only wonder why
You can change your mind
But you never change the price.
Repeat chorus
Heaven only knows, heaven only knows
Heaven only knows, heaven only knows.

Leave the holy parables and answer my question
If could ask God
why I am facing adversity the whole time,
at times have to bare a cross
while my oppressors
are triumphant as if
they are not accountable
and are totally sinless,
I would not be able to lay the cause
against the heaven
and it troubles me
why God is allowing it
or has it been decided in His decisions of fate?
Still by myself
I find no answers
and this is no reproach
and maybe I will wonder
until death silences my mouth
and here I am not challenging God
but only want to understand my life and existence better.

I Can't Let My Heaven Walk Away
I cant let my heaven walk away
Just cant let my heaven walk away
Just gotta find a way to make her stay
I dont know what Ive done wrong
Look up and find my heaven gone
Called her name but I called in vain
I know she cant answer from a picture frame
Only an hour ago I held her in real flesh and blood
She just grabbed her coat and said please Ive had enough
She kept me well like a Sunday prayer
Just like my own right hand the girl was always there
To every man but me her eyes were blind
I was in the promise land long before my time
I cant let my heaven walk away
Just cant let my heaven walk away
Just gotta find a way to make her stay
I dont know what Ive done wrong
Look up and find my heaven gone
I accused my baby of being a liar
I said the flesh is weak in Gods key trial
I only asked her to hear her tell me no
But my question back-fired, I didnt expect her to go
I cant let my heaven walk away
Just cant let my heaven walk away
Just gotta find a way to make her stay
I dont know what Ive done wrong
Look up and find my heaven gone
(Repeat)

Heaven Is Waiting
(pilson, parrish, hendrix)
Oh yeah
Old temptations
New frustrations
Open up your eyes
Lets get high on new sensations
Let your spirits fly
Everybodys crazy
Youve got to find a way
Weve got to come together
Let me hear you say
Heaven is waiting
And well all shine on
Heaven is waiting
And well all shine on
Shine on, baby
In a world of
Self destruction
No one ever wins
You see
Revolutions
No solution
The answer lies within
Were crying out for freedom
Well find it someday
Weve got to come together
Just dont be afriad
Heaven is waiting
And well all shine on
Heaven is waiting
And well all shine on
Heaven is waiting
And well all shine on
On and on
Heaven is waiting
All shine on
And on
Heaven is waiting
Heaven is waiting
And well all shine on
Heaven is waiting
And well all live on
Heaven is waiting
And well all shine on
Heaven is waiting--all shine on
(repeat)
Heaven is waiting--and well all shine on

Only the Slaves
How to regard a manner as decent
Is only a requirement of manliness.
It despises the master to see the slave perish,
And the men have reawakened.
Manners of a slave are laudable when man
Is sufficient as a master, and love is a learning all common.
To live a wreck and survive a storm is a slavery
Of every man. Regard a manner in this city as sacred.
The key to the city lies in the minds of men who are leaders.
The painting of a king is adequate for the retelling.
It is a city in the air, and I call it Red and Yellow.
Kings and queens are averse to these intricacies.
We are masters, and they are slaves of the House.
A Palace is built in heaven if you are good.
Only the slaves are the masters in Heaven.

Heaven Sent
Your eyes are like deep wells of desire
Once in your arms Im on fire
You were sent girl so perfectly true
Changing my life
Now Im a survivor
Heaven sent
Thats what I call you
Heaven sent
Thats what I call you
Late at night when the evening fire has died
Theres a look in your eye
Seductive images fly
Heaven sent
Thats what I call you
Heaven sent
Thats what I call you
One day youll see what angels can see
Dressed in black if she comes back
I think Ill lose my mind
Tuesday she works
In the library uptown
Some useful knowledge
Can always be found
Dont burn the library
Till youve read all the books
Sometimes in life
You get a second look
Heaven sent
Thats what I call you
Heaven sent
Thats what I call you
Heaven sent
Thats what I call you
Heaven sent
Thats what I call you
Heaven sent
Heaven sent
Heaven sent

You Already Take Me There
When all I have is on the floor divided, divided
When I'm a world away from peace
Behind your eyes is where I know
I'll find it, I'll find it
'Cause who You are defines my dreams
You already take me there
You already take me there
You already take me there
Heaven in the here and now
When I'm a broken-hearted man
Complacent and tired
When I've been knocked out of the race
I've been a fool for long enough
To fight it, to fight it
It's in your arms I find my place
You already take me there
You already take me there
You already take me there
Heaven in the here and now (now)
You meet me where I am
Forgive me where I am
Where I lose myself in grace
(Where I'm lost and found)
I want to lose myself in grace
Let your love reign down all over me
(Over me)
Cover me
You already take me there
You already take me there
Heaven in the here and now
Heaven in the here and now
Heaven in the here and now

The Love Sonnets Of Proteus. Part II: To Juliet: XXXIX
FAREWELL TO JULIET
Juliet, farewell. I would not be forgiven
Even if I forgave. These words must be
The last between us two in Earth or Heaven,
The last and bitterest. You are henceforth free
For ever from my bitter words and me.
You shall not at my hand be further vexed
With either love, reproach or jealousy
(So help me Heaven), in this world or the next.
Our souls are single for all time to come
And for eternity, and this farewell
Is as the trumpet note, the crack of doom,
Which heralds an eternal silence. Hell
Has no more fixed and absolute decree.
And Heaven and Hell may meet,--yet never we.

Black Woman!
BEAUTIFUL BLACK WOMAN, YOUR SENSUOUS
SPLENDOR IS LIKE THE SHINING SUN YOUR
WONDROUS WAYS COME FROM YOUR SOUL
WHICH NO ONE MAN MAY HOPE TO CONTROL
BEAUTIFUL BLACK WOMAN, YOU ARE THE GUIDING
HOPE OF OUR PEOPLE
BEAUTIFUL BLACK WOMAN, YOUR MIND MAINTAINS
YOUR GLORIOUS POWER
BEAUTIFUL BLACK WOMAN, YOUR SPIRIT IS
LIKE A SHINING CHURCH TOWER WHICH POINTS THE
WAY TO HEAVEN ABOVE AND WHICH
SEEKS TO FIND TRUE LOVE
BEAUTIFUL BLACK WOMAN, YOU ARE THE GUIDING
HOPE OF OUR PEOPLE
BEAUTIFUL BLACK WOMAN, YOUR TIME IS LIKE A
PRECIOUS COMMODITY
BEAUTIFUL BLACK WOMAN, YOUR EBONY WILL IS
STRONG AND FREE SO TAKE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME
AND YOUR DETERMINED WILL AND USE THEM BOTH TO
EMPHASIZE WHAT YOU REALLY FEEL
BEAUTIFUL BLACK WOMAN, YOU ARE THE GUIDING HOPE
OF OUR PEOPLE
BEAUTIFUL BLACK WOMAN, IN YOU LIES OUR FUTURE!

Pater Omnipotens
Serene in his unconquerable might
Endued[,] the Almighty King, his steadfast throne
Encompassed unapproachably with power
And darkness and deep solitude an awe
Stood like a black cloud on some aery cliff
Embosoming its lightning—in his sight
Unnumbered glorious spirits trembling stood
Like slaves before their Lord—prostrate around
Heaven’s multitudes hymned everlasting praise.
