At the present moment, the security of coherent philosophy, which existed from Parmenides to Hegel, is lost.

The River of Permanence
It is not possible to step
Into the same river twice,
Said Heraclitus of Ephesus.
Since other and yet other waters
Keep flowing on,
The river is never the same.
And like the river,
Everything in the world
Is in constant change and flux.
Nonsense! Retorted Parmenides
Of Elea. Nothing is in flux.
Things never change, he said,
The world is permanent.
Objects of thought and speech
Must exist all the time.
They cannot change
Because change consists in
Things coming into being,
Or ceasing to exist;
Whereas words have
An immutable meaning.
Of course a table differs from a chair
Parmenides continued,
And so does the nightingale
From the elephant.
Or the land from the sky.
However,
We live in an illusionary world.
Things only appear to be different.
And mind you,
There are no opposites in the world.
For warm means merely not cold
And dark means no light.
More than a century later,
Aristotle scratched his head rumbling:
Is not this talk a next door to madness?
After all even a lunatic
Would not confuse fire with ice.
How can one argue,
From thought and language
As a frame of reference
To the world at large?
How can one reconcile
The existential with the copulative?
The past with the future?
Tell us Parmenides,
How can Socrates be alive
If he is dead?
Yet Parmenides
Remained unperturbed and smiled.
Your logic, Aristotle, is not flawless.
It does not hold water.
Look:
On a deeper level of reality
Things are always the same,
Belonging to an ultimately
Homogeneous cosmos.
In the final analysis
There is neither past nor future
Only an eternal present.
When you refer to Socrates
Your memory unfolds
Not in the past but in the present.
Your recollection happens now,
Right in this moment,
Immortalizing him.

Talking Back to Parmenides
He was taller than I expected.
Standing at the white city gate
Parmenides of Elea patiently waited.
What year is this? He asked.
2005, I said.
All these years, he murmured.
Yes, I nodded, you were born
More than twenty five centuries ago.
You were writing in hexameters
About the Way of Truth
And the Way of Seeming,
I reminded him.
Yes, I remember that, he said.
My memory is as good as in my youth.
I used to delve into the Enigma of Being
In the quest for finding the hidden heart of
Certainty and permanence.
We were silent for a while.
And then I said:
I read in a Dictionary of Philosophy
That you believe that reality does not change
And is unknowable.
Well, I still believe that, Parmenides said.
In that case let me ask you this:
If reality is unknowable
Then how do you know
That it does not change?

The philosophy to live
The life is
respect and dignity
My philosophy of
life is to
live with dreams
Is satisfying to
think at the
philosophy to live
The philosophy to
live is sacred
and genuine
Is essential that
the philosophy to
live is a
conscious and satisfying
act of our
personal existence
The philosophy to
live must be
defended from excessive
attacks
The philosophy to
live will be
a peaceful and
motivated revolution
The life is
a great and
magnificent work
The life must
be lived slowly
because only thus
can be authentic
The life is
not appearance
The life travels
in the present
The life is
an alternation of
emotions and sensations
There shouldn't be
obsessions in life
because it's an
unrepeatable and extravagant
thing

He had decided long ago that no Situation had any objective reality: it only existed in the minds of those who happened to be in on it at any specific moment. The only consolation he drew from the present chaos was that his theory managed to explain it.

One Must Learn To Love The Present Good Moment
One must learn to love the present good moment
In itself and for itself
As if there were only it and no other-
One must learn to love the present good moment
Without wondering why it will pass
And why all things must –
One must learn to give one’s heart and mind wholly to the present good moment-
And when it is over
Wake from the dream
With joy and gratitude
Despite regretting that the moment is gone.

Papa Hegel he say that all we learn from history is that we learn nothing from history. I know people who can't even learn from what happened this morning. Hegel must have been taking the long view.

The only real security is not in owning or possessing, not in demanding or expecting, not in hoping, even. Security in a relationship lies neither in looking back to what it was, nor forward to what it might be, but living in the present and accepting it as it is now.

Feel the Moment
Feel the moment
And be present.
Smell the aroma of the moment
And never show that you are absent.
Feel the moment
The moment of dialogue
The moment of possibilities
The moment of expectation.
The moment of love.
Grab the moment
Treasure it as a priceless jewel
Claim it as a great gift
Hold it as your very own.

Present here
To the credibility
Of my security
You present here
My goodluck.
I put myself
In the elite group
With your present
And more powerful
Nodoubt.

People Take Picture Of Each Other
People take pictures of the Summer,
Just in case someone thought they had missed it,
And to proved that it really existed.
Fathers take pictures of the mothers,
And the sisters take pictures of brothers,
Just to show that they love one another.
You can't picture love that you took from me,
When we were young and the world was free.
Pictures of things as they used to be,
Don't show me no more, please.
People take pictures of each other,
Just to prove that they really existed,
Just to prove that they really existed.
People take pictures of each other,
And the moment to last them for ever,
Of the time when they mattered to someone.
People take pictures of the Summer,
Just in case someone thought they had missed it,
Just to proved that it really existed.
People take pictures of each other,
And the moment to last them for ever,
Of the time when they mattered to someone.
Picture of me when I was just three,
Sucking my thumb by the old oak tree.
Oh how I love things as they used to be,
Don't show me no more, please.

Self Security Is What
That doubt is cut…
And a pond is just that…
Because of the Lotus…
Self security is what…
A heart beat which is…
Complete for love is there…
And after the rain…
The dew glistens under the sun-light…
The night is full of stars…
And without…there is no night…
Darkness, a deep hole within ones…
SOUL…
Lessening the smile upon a face…
Self security is what…
A lover returning real love…
For it is shared…
Security should not be false…
Do all is lost…
Love, Self-respect, and growth…
If when you look at self…
And cannot feel security…
You suffer internally…
Self security is what…
(-An expiration date not …
Forwarded…
A step not stepped…
A love not reflecting…
A heart not properly…
Beating…
Family members not coming by…
Self security is what…
Snow, with all the same flakes…
Twins, that look nothing alike…
A shoe that does not fit…
And a seat in which one cannot…
Sit…
So inside you cry…
And with every breath you die…
(Self security) …(self)
And your wings let you…FLY.

A Difficult Life! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
no whys
but dies again and again and again
alive again and again and again
no destinations
but orientations again and again and again
lost in forested thoughts
concepts dead like machines
but improvisations again and again and again
future
but present moment-to-moment awareness again and again and again
