The Negroes are facing the alternative of rising in the sphere of production to supply their proportion of the manufacturers and merchants or of going down to the graves of paupers.

There are very important and practical issues raised by following this alternative route which says, let's look to material conditions, to the systems of production, to the needs that human beings have, and to competing alternative solutions to the satisfaction of those needs.

Farmers, merchants, manufacturers, and the traveling public have all had their troubles with the transportation lines, and the difficulties to which these struggles have given rise have produced that problem which is even now apparently far from solution.

Love is conditioned

Love for one is in proportion
To the influence you wield.
Concern for one is in proportion
To the identity you have.
Respect for one is in proportion
To the trust you have.
Don’t expect more than the due.

Time to Strike

It seems to me necessities
grow more expensive day by day
and at the same time luxuries
cost less than what we used to pay.

The values which we hold today
are not the ones our parents knew
It seems somehow we’ve lost our way.
I am convinced that this is true.

If you can’t pay you should not buy
For credit can put up the price
The crafty merchants have to try
to pay for when they advertise.

The goods for sale we do not need.
So they increase the price of food
Pursuit of profits is their creed.
Yet still they cry misunderstood.

Perhaps its time to call a halt
and force the merchants to review
A system very much at fault
I am afraid unless we do.

Well starve to death in luxury
because we cant afford to eat.
This is not how things ought to be.
I can do nothing but repeat

It seems to me necessities
grow more expensive day by day
and that unneeded luxuries
cost less that what we used to pay.

I find it hard to understand
why we must pay more for our food.
The laws of supply and demand
unless I have misunderstood.

Say necessities should cost less
Than luxuries we do not need
and only purchase to impress.
The merchants know we have to feed.

They do not need to advertise
the foodstuffs which they know we need
but constantly increase the price.
To satisfy their endless greed.

We only have ourselves to blame.
Our apathetic attitude
ensures that we can’t win
Though I am certain that we could

We have the power we could use
to bring the merchants in to line.
If we don’t buy, point blank refuse
except on terms which we define.

They’ll very quickly change their tune
they have to sell
But we wont win if we don’t try

Ill Supply The Love

Chorus:
You supply the night,
Baby, Ill supply the love
You supply the night,
Baby, Ill supply the love
I see a horseman in the sky,
It makes me turn and wonder why
I hear the same old fourteen reasons,
Must be the changin of the seasons
Chorus:
I met the girl across the sea,
She saved my life and came with me
A tender night of dark persuasion,
Could be my first and last occasion
Chorus:
(instrumental break)
Chorus repeats 2x:
Baby, Ill supply the love,
Baby, Ill supply the,
Ill supply the love

Home In The Sky

Come the morning ill be far from here
Slowly rising in another sphere
Old world goodbye cause Ill be
Home in the sky in the morning bye bye
Stars are crying over my old house
But Im still breathing happy above the clouds
Home
Home at last because
All of the bad times are past
Music is a lady that I still love
Cause she gives me the air that I breathe
Music is a lady that I still need
Cause she brings me the food that I eat
Come the morning ill be far from here
Slowly rising in another sphere
Home, world goodbye
Cause ill be home in the sky in the morning

A Massive Dosage Of Amnesia

'What is the alternative? '

The alternative to what?
Greed, arrogance or theft?
Or the time of duration,
Each has been in existence?

The alternative 'had' been peace.
Respect and acceptance...
Of one's right to live as one wishes.
But a life lived on credit...
And fed by greed, arrogance and theft,
Crept out of hand.
To leave a chaos left!

What is the alternative?
I think a massive dosage of amnesia will do it!
Because those who believe they will control,
All of life on this planet...
Are severely out of their minds already.

'Severely? '

S-E-verely!

Joe Fabulous

don't play my music on mtv
play it on the radio
we are the street kings and we don't care
yeah we really don't wanna know
i'm joe fabulous
life is my school
joe fabulous
and we are the merchants of cool
we do our thing
we believe in no sin
we are beyond your control
if you look closely
you'll find that were mostly
machines looking for a soul
im joe fabulous
life is my school
the next joe fabulous
and we are the merchants of cool
we aim to analyze
everything you say and do
so we can sell it back to you
joe fabulous
life is my school
joe fabulous
and we are the merchants of cool
there are no nations
just large corporations
flying the flag of the day
from dawn of creation
to civilisation
please don't take my music away
joe fabulous
life is my school
joe fabulous
play by my rules
joe fabulous
and we are the merchants of cool
thats all
bye bye everybody
bye bye

Must Be Freed

The ante-bellum Negro prayed,
For God to intercede,
And God in answer to him said,
'Your children shall be freed.'

The hand was seen upon the wall,
The fates at once decreed
That Negro bondsmen one and all,
Should soon be free, indeed.

'If Abraham Lincoln's president'
The South said, 'we'll secede;'
They apprehended he'd consent,
For Negroes to be freed.

To battle North against the South,
O'er states rights was agreed,
But echo from the cannon's mouth,
Said, 'Negroes must be freed.'

Confed'rates did with marked success,
McClellan's steps impede,
Till Abr'm Lincoln did confess,
That Negroes must be freed.

The Union boys with heaven's strength,
From that time did succeed;
And fought with valor till at length,
The Negro slaves were freed.

The Jim Crow car for Negroes made,
To crush their pride, indeed,
Has on the harps of thinkers played,
Those people must be freed.

The right of suffrage from the men,
Is taken out of greed;
A better day is coming when
They shall from this be freed.

Black men before the lyncher's rope,
In vain for mercy plead,
But justice cries, 'There is a hope,
From such you shall be freed.'

From ignorance and poverty,
From superstition's creed,
From those who crush his liberty,
The Negro must be freed.

The hand has written on the wall,
The clouds must all recede,
For God Whose word can never fall,
Says,'Negroes must be freed.'
