You can't tell any kind of a story without having some kind of a theme, something to say between the lines.

It's an indication of how cynical our society has become that any kind of love story with a sad theme is automatically ridiculed as sentimental junk.

My Kind Of Woman - My Kind Of Man (feat. Patty Loveless)
You don't need diamonds or big fancy cars
You say you're happy right where you are
We're bound together by a little gold band
You're my kind of woman
Oh, you're my kind of man
Oh, living without you is my only fear
You still drive me crazy when I hold you near
My boudy trembles with the touch of your hand
You're my kind of woman
Oh, you're my kind of man
chorus:
You're my kind of woman
You're my kind of man
A match made in heaven
By God's gentle hands
I'll love you forever
Together we'll stand
You're my kind of woman
You're my kind of man
(repeat chorus)
You're my kind of woman
And you're my kind of man

Love Of Another Kind
They say love is cruel
They say love is rather fragile
But Ive found in you
A love of another kind.
They say love brings hurt
I say love brings healing
Understanding first
Its a love of another kind.
(bridge)
The love I know
Is a love so few discover
They need to know
Jesus love is like no other.
They save love wont last
I say love is neverending
Cause in you I have
A love of another kind.
They would change their tune
They would add another measure
If they only knew
This love of another kind.
(repeat bridge)
(repeat verses)
Love of another kind
The love of another kind
The love of another kind
The love of another, the love of another kind.
Give me love
This is love (this is love)
Another kind, another kind of love.
This is love (this is love)
You need another kind of love
Another kind, another kind of love.
Another kind of love
This is love
Give me love
Another kind, another kind of love.

Even song
Lay away the story,--
Though the theme is sweet,
There's a lack of something yet,
Leaves it incomplete:--
There's a nameless yearning--
Strangely undefined--
For a story sweeter still
Than the written kind.
Therefore read no longer--
I've no heart to hear
But just something you make up,
O my mother dear.--
With your arms around me,
Hold me, folded-eyed,--
Only let your voice go on--
I'll be satisfied.

Some Kind Of Friend
Music by Barry Manilow
Lyrics by Adrienne Anderson
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I saw you at the Beechwood Cafe
You looked at me and then you looked away
That was some kind
Some kind of friend you turned out to be
You said you had places that you had to be
Now who is gonna be there for me
That was some kind
Some kind of friend you turned out to be
Lady that was some kind
Some kind of friend you turned out to be
Baby that was some kind
Some kind of friend you turned out to be
They say that women like you can't get enough
Got your Maserati built for two
They say that women like you like to play
with love
Is that true?
When I ran into you the other day
You smiled at me but you had nothing to say
That was some kind
Some kind of friend you turned out to be
Tell me why'd you do what you did to me
Covered up your life so I couldn't see
Now that was some kind
Some kind of friend you turned out to be
Lady that was some kind
Some kind of friend you turned to be
Baby that was some kind
Some kind of friend you turned out to be
I never should have let you get to me
Nevershould have let you bring me down
Didn't know that I was just some fantasy
That you found.

Am I The Kind Of Girl Who Could Be Your Boyfriend?
Am i the kind of girl who could be your boyfriend
Am i the kind of jill who could play with jacks
Am i the kind of girl who could be your boyfriend
The kind of screw that your toolbox lacks
Put on the shoes, come let's go bend the rules
We'll kiss and make up, showing them all
They're straight-laced fools
I'm the kind of girl who could be your boyfriend
Am i the kind of woman who could be your man
Let's twist it up
Let's fix it up
Let's bend it up
C'mon now
Let's send it on up
Am i the kind of girl who could be your boyfriend
Am i the kind of belle who could be your beau
Am i the kind of girl who could be your boyfriend
The kind of buck who could spend your dough
Tear up the ticket, who needs that show tonight
Tear up the ticket, i'll be the groom
And honey you'll be the bride in white
I'm the kind of girl who could be your boyfriend
Am i the kind of girl who could be your man
Let's twist it up
Let's send it up
Let's bend it up
C'mon now
Let's fix it up
La la la la la la la
Am i the kind of girl who could be your boyfriend
Am i the kind of girl who could be your man
Am i the kind of girl who could be your boyfriend
Am i the kind of girl who could be your man

Not That Kind Of Girl
Im not that kind of girl who thinks I can change the world
With just a simple twirl of my hair
Ill never break your heart, tear your soul apart
With just a simple spark from my stare
Wont go playing with your insides
Take your wallet for its big size
Wont be suckered in by those foolish games
1:
Oh, oh, Im not that kind of girl
Oh, oh, Im not that kind of girl
Oh, oh, Im not that kind of girl
Oh, oh, Im not that kind of girl
Im not that of girl who think you can rule my world
With just a simple wave of your hand
So dont you push me down, or start to play around
Cause when you see me frown, just beware
Dont go playing with my insides
Tell me stories, tell me big lies
Wont be taken in by those silly games
Repeat 1
Come on, come on
Yo, tell me vc, what kind of girl are you?
Let me know
Im not the kind of girl to make you lose your mind
I wanna be the kind of girl youll never leave behind
Youre gonna take it, never fake it, you know youll see
That Im just the kind of girl I always wanted to be
Im not that kind of girl, Im not that kind of girl
Im not that kind of girl
I like your kind of girl, I like that kind of girl
I like your kind of girl
Im not that kind of girl
I like your kind of girl, I like all kinds of girls
I like your kind of girl
Im not that kind of girl

A FEW KIND WORDS
A few kind words
From a stranger far away
Makes my poem mean more
Than I can by myself make.

Who care.

Now That The Year Is Growing Kind Of Old (Envelope Couplet Sestets)
Now that the year is growing kind of old
when the true story of Jesus we are told,
we are living up to a day of giving
while daily we hear joyful birds singing
as when they did that child once behold,
now that the year is growing kind of old.
Now that the year is growing kind of old
our Christian faith we do at times uphold
while to others we bring some happiness
like messengers of God we try to bless,
sing happy songs on each friendly threshold,
now that the year is growing kind of old.
Now that the year is growing kind of old
while some live sheltered in a stronghold
in a world of chaos there is tranquillity,
when in God we find some serenity,
in our own lives we act cheerful and bold,
now that the year is growing kind of old.
Now that the year is growing kind of old
in our lives God’s blessings are manifold,
while merrily bells do jingle and chime,
we tell of loving that goes past all time,
we celebrate Christmas in each household,
now that the year is growing kind of old.

A Love Above Loves
When I think of you
I think of a certain kind of love
When I hear your name
I hear a certain kind of love
When I look at you
I see a certain kind of love
When I hold you
I hold a certain kind of love
When I kiss you
I kiss a certain kind of love
When I touch you
I touch a certain kind of love
When I fell in love with you
I fell in love with a certain kind of love
When I'm with you
I'm with a certain kind of love
When I'm wrapped up in you
I'm wrapped up in a certain kind of love
This certain kind of love
Is stronger than love
It is a transcended state
A love that can only be gifted from above
A love that is greater than any other love
This certain kind of love
Is strong and true
This certain kind of love
Makes two people stay true
This certain kind of love
Can never be extinguished
I believe that we have this kind of love
A love so true
Maybe not love at first sight
But I do believe that I was meant for you
Do you believe it too?
This certain kind of love
Is a love above loves
This certain kind of love
Is a true love
So true

Where Is My Boy
Where is my boy?
I saw you come out of a scene.
Maybe in some kind of dream.
Something that never comes.
Time that I take...
See over in arms Ill race.
Ill race in to find you.
Ill race in to find you.
Time stands.
I open your house to my world.
I see you come out of it all,
Unharmed and unscathed,
And shoutin, oh.
Come on in.
In houses I live in.
And changes youre making.
To the state of affairs.
Callin where is my boy?
I have seen you so often.
I cry where is my boy?
Oh, have you all forgotten?
That in some kind of dream,
Have I seen you before.
Oh have I seen you before?
Oh, where is my boy?
So come all the way.
Changin the number.
Changin the house where you live.
Change your lines.
Have I seen you before?
In some kind of a dream?
In a place youve forgotten.
A place Ive forgotten.
So where is my boy?
When I kneel in your arms,
I flew awry.
Where is my boy?
Have I seen you before?
In some kind of a dream?
Have I seen you before?
In some kind of a dream?
Your arms and your legs are shattered.
Where is my boy?
Where is my boy?
I said where is my boy?
Have I seen you before?
When I look in your eye,
Tell me he had to go.
Said I seen you before,
In some kind of dream.
Seems Ive seen you before.
In some kind of a dream.
I say where is the boy?
Have I seen you before?
Yeah, I saw you before.
In some kind of a dream.
I say where was my head?
When I needed it most?
Oh, I stayed here before,
Yes I stay in the place I know.

What Kind Of Girl
(graham russell, rex goh)
What kind of girl, what kind of girl
What kind of man is enough to begin to understand
How love begins so small
From that first day when she wakes and your arms are all she has
To hold on to
Youll never let her go and you say
What kind of girl
Youll never run any more now the world has come alive
For you, youll say ( how did I once survive )
What kind of girl does it take that gives everything she has
Always to share, her love is everywhere
And youll say what kind of girl
What kind of girl
What kind of girl
What kind of girl
What kind of girl
From that first day when she wakes and your arms are all she has
To hold on to
Youll never let her go and you say
What kind of girl
What kind of girl
What kind of girl
What kind of girl
What kind of girl

Crown Of Thorns
You ever heard the story
of Mr. Faded Glory?
Say he who rides a pony must someday fall
I been talkin' to my alter
Says life is what you make it
And if you make it death well then rest
your soul away
Away away yeah
It's a broken kind of feeling
She'd have to tie me to the ceiling
A bad moon's a comin'
better say your prayers
I wanna tell you that I love you
But does it really matter?
I just can't stand to see you dragging down.
Again, again, again.
So I'm singing
This is my kinda love
It's the kind that moves on
It's the kind that leaves you alone
This is my kinda love
It's the kind that moves on
It's the kind and leaves me alone
I used to treat you like a lady
Now you're a substitute teacher
This bottle's not a pretty, not a pretty sight
I owe the man some money
so I'm turnin over honey
Oh Mr. Faded Glory is once again doin' time.
This is my kinda love
It's the kind that moves on
It's the kind that leaves me alone
This is my kinda love
It's a crown of thorns
It's the kind that
It's the kind that leaves me alone
Like a crown of thorns
So know who you know.
So don't burn your bridges cause
someday, yeah
Start singing
This is my kinda love
It's the kind that moves on
It's the kind that leaves me alone
This is my kinda love
It's a crown of thorns
It's the kind that leaves me alone

Eve (original beauty)
She stood naked in the garden
With more beauty
Than the first full bloom rose,
The kind and depth of
Beauty
God in Heaven only knows.
The kind of
Beauty that is deep and wild,
The kind of
Beauty lost like the days of a child,
The kind of
Beauty mankind
Has been trying desperately
(without realization)
Forever to find.
The kind of
Beauty
God has put upon
Every souls mind.
The kind of
Beauty
That forever causes God
To call us:
'Mine! '
The kind of original beauty
God understands,
The kind of beauty awaiting
The return of each woman, and man.

Orbiting goes On
what kind of society
can't providework for all,
what kind of commuinty,
can't find places for the homeless,
what kind of society has no obligation
for all the sick, crippled and infirm,
what kind of community agrees
to let some have so much more than they can use
while others not enough to live on,
what kind of society does not honor its agreements
with old aged, one parent children and orphans,
because of bad planning
what kind of community lets its neighbors starve
while others have more than enough,
what kind of family is not involved in education
to stamp out ethnic and gender discrimination,
what kind of society thrives on unemployment,
what kind of society is indifferebt to suicide,
what kind of family lets their children use and sell dope,
what kind of society lets pollution destroy the atmospheres
what kind of planet can survive this way,
and goes in search for other life
and still calls it self a democracy and democratic

What kind of Man is this?
What kind of Man is this?
To embrace this world with a kiss
and show to us the love of God.
What kind of Man is this?
What kind of man is this?
That betrayed You with a kiss
the Son of Man he sent to die.
What kind of man is this?
How can a man do this?
To betray You with a kiss
and sell his soul for silver coins.
What kind of man is this?
What kind of world is mine?
That condemns this Man so fine
and nails Him to a cross of wood.
What kind of world is mine?
What kind of Man is He?
Who gave His life for me
upon that cross of Calvary.
What kind of Man is He?
What kind of man are you?
To do the things you do
and turn your back upon His love.
What kind of man are you?
What kind of man am I?
That I could watch Him die
and remain unmoved by His cry.
What kind of man am I?
Oh Lord I now can see
that You have died for me
and gave Your life a sacrifice
on the Cross of Calvary.
My Lord may I tell you this?
That I've been moved by Your kiss
and come to kneel before Your cross.
My Lord may I tell you this?
Forgive me Lord I cry
that for me You had to die.
It was the only way to save
such a sinful wretch as I.
A Different Kind Of Christmas
But somehow there's a sadness in the song
In our hearts we know that something's wrong
Chorus:
It's a different kind of Christmas
In a different kind of world
Even though it looks the same
Everything has changed
It's a different kind of Christmas
Children opening gifts with wonder and surprise
I wish that I could still see through such innocent eyes
I used to feel so safe inside I had a place to run and hide
In my daddy's arms I felt secure
No one can protect us anymore
Chorus:
It's a different kind of Christmas
In a different kind of world
Even though it looks the same
Everything has changed
It's a different kind of Christmas
Sending cards that talk of peace and love and cheer
Oh that's what we need if we'd only believe
It would be!
Chorus:
It's a different kind of Christmas
In a different kind of world
Even though it looks the same
Everything has changed
It's a different kind of Christmas
