Our tradition of political thought had its definite beginning in the teachings of Plato and Aristotle. I believe it came to a no less definite end in the theories of Karl Marx.

When you have shot and killed a man you have in some measure clarified your attitude toward him. You have given a definite answer to a definite problem. For better or worse you have acted decisively. In a way, the next move is up to him.

Learn to limit yourself, to content yourself with some definite thing, and some definite work; dare to be what you are, and learn to resign with a good grace all that you are not and to believe in your own individuality.

Definite Maybe
Got a letter through the post that says I dont exist.
Apparently the new computer thinks I wont be missed.
We need more facts, perhaps you would find out and forward them.
Theres no proof or trace or date or place or where or when.
Central informations got no news today (today).
Is there a change in my position?
No decision, no decision.
All I ever get is a definite maybe.
Head office thinks Im dead,
But Im not even ill.
How do I get attention,
Tell me who I have to kill.
Is there a change in my condition?
Not today.
The answer comes with repetition,
No decision, no decision.
round and round the circle goes,
Stood in line but the counter was closed.
And when I ask who is responsible,
Nobody knows, try one of those.
All I want is a yes or a no,
(all he wants is a yes or a no).
But all I ever get is a definite maybe.
Tried to make my life a misery,
But they dont want to know,
They dont want to know,
They dont want to know.
And all I ever get is a definite maybe.
No decision, no decision.
Surely there must be a way to open all the doors,
And wade through all the petty bureaucratic little laws.
Frustration everywhere I turn, I just get more and more.
Everyones got problems and theyve heard all mine before.
Oh, Im tired of making endless calls.
(somebody help this poor man.)
Banging my head against the wall.
I walk along an endless corridor,
Then I knock on the door, then I realize
That Ive been there before.
No one here can hear my case.
So all I ever get is a definite maybe.
When they say, no news today, get back in the queue,
What can I do? what can I do? what can I do?
No decision, no decision.
No decision.
All I ever get (no decision) is a definite maybe (no decision).

What If You Were Wrong?
you are using
a human mind
limited as mine
why are you so
definite?
what if you are
wrong like the
way it was with
myself when i
first met you and
told you about
a definite right?
sometimes i can
be wrong
i told you that before.
you never told me
once
you're not the wise man
that i must respect.

Light Alone Yet Awaits
no definite destination is there
not in the horizon
not in any other hole of space
rushing hurriedly yet all the nerves
your their mine whole the crowd
no one leave a foot-step to anybody
definite is only the grave
our ancestors
your grand grands
high-neck
low-collar
heels
bare feet
arrogant charisma of reining the time
no definite destination to attain
yet nerves are shivering to move at once
where to where my nymph
the child new born
the bread you ploughed in the field
the corns your blood drops
await somewhere a bit away
for a jerk
to diminish the dark forever within the dark
and light alone
just a street-beggar
waiting with coarse hand
who has entered a journey
where destination finds itself to reach him...

An Afternoon Poem
When i write this one,
this general idea about something
with nothing definite in particular
falling short of the images required
of a poem,
i really have no audience in mind
i am just writing like talking a walk or
sitting on a bench watching some of you
passing by,
definitely, this is an afternoon poem
and that is what is definite about it
i am tired
but i cannot rest
when i arrive in the house
only the dogs meet me
there is no one here
no note
left on the fridge
there is only this silence that keeps
me company
and the image of the wagging tail of
a dog
the only loyalty that seems
to abide by the rules
of this
game, well,
i should not be surprised
it has been this way
and i like it that way now
this nonirritating
spectator

I Dance..Without Music
Life is a dance which leads each one of us to the ultimate truth-Death. Here I am traveling towards my coffin, not walking but dancing. Without music, without obliged to any defined rhythm, I am inching towards it, towards my coffin. Throughout my dancing once again I am watching everything...
I am dancing without music
Dancing without definite steps
Without a rhythm and melody
Dancing towards the coffin
Daylight creeping away streets
Through the deserted ferries
Windless deserts and silence
I am dancing without music
Through colorless dreams
Through unspoken whispers
Through cemeteries
I am dancing without music
I am dancing without music
Dancing without definite steps
without a rhythm and melody
Dancing towards the coffin
Without wearing glass shoes
Without a stockings
Without feeling bleeding feet
I am dancing without music
Through burned gardens
Through spring never visited valleys
Through silence filled emptiness
I am dancing without music
I am dancing without music
Dancing without definite steps
Without a rhythm and melody
Dancing towards the coffin

The human being is in the most literal sense a political animal, not merely a gregarious animal, but an animal which can individuate itself only in the midst of society.
Obviously Older Than You Babe...
she stretches her breast
as a way of confirming that the duo
are longer than her hair
sagging
like the way she thinks for
herself now
a train of thought dragged
into nowhere
nothing definite where is the
next stop....

Frightened Lady
(hicks)
Just like a top the world goes spinning round
Nobody knows whats going on Ive found
Even from jerusalem to old japan
Nobody seems to have a definite, definite plan
Must be a peaceful way for us to go
Even the simplest of man must know
The situations getting worse and worse
One day the bubbles gonna burst
But dont be frightened lady
We will never let them take your boy to war
No dont be frightened lady
We will never ever go to war no more
Why dont they finish it all
We are only people and were terribly small
Why dont they finish it all
Do they think that people dont mean nothing, nothing at all
Chorus
Students are marching now in every land
They wont be shifted just like grains of sand
If we dont get together pretty soon
Well do the same thing on the moon

The Philosophy Of This Journey.....
one leaves............takes a journey..............far...........farther away........
alone,
not stopping, longing, looking for more, but not really definite on what to look for,
it searches, passes by every town, takes the road, sees a row of trees,
a line of coasts,
it rains, there is flood in the river, you do not stop.........leaves again,
it shines in one place
sun is good,
clouds are as beautiful as one notices from time to time
by the window
of the bus, of the plane.......
one leaves, takes another journey, one knows what he is searching,
a glimpse, but not really definite still
along this journey
life becomes what it really is,
it is a passing wind that blows your hair
but none is taken away from you
not even a lock of hair, not even the scent in your skin.
