I know Raft did have some genuine affairs with actresses.

Gossip Magazines
When the actresses show everything
from conception to delivery,
with verve and pleasure
to enlighten the ignorant mass,
why the gossip magazines
spread rumours about
the riveting sagas
of love affairs and flirts
of the stars of the tinsel world,
politics and of those in the clutches
of the sages and saints
doing penance in ashrams
to purge the sins of others?
The boys drooled over
the topless photos of the movie stars
a decade back in lonely places.
Now they see, relish
all the performing actresses
in the nets and cell phones and iPods.
No chance for drooling!

Truffaut loved actresses, and he was very intense. All the actresses I knew wanted to do a film with him.

I don't see myself as competing with other actresses. I mean, I went through a time when I was in New York, and I was going to lots of auditions and trying to get parts, but even then, you're not really competing with the other actresses. There is a competition going on, but it's not like something you can win in that way.

Sad State Of Affairs
It’s a sad state of affairs
When you start to loose your friends
No one there to show they care
You even miss them driving you round the bend
It’s a sad state of affairs
When your ego is your compadre
He whispers in your ear 'you’re right and fair
You don’t need them, pay attention to what I say'
It’s a sad state of affairs
To know your smarter then those around you
What’s the point me going to your lair?
You speak nonsense but to you it sounds true
It’s a sad state of affairs
To have nothing going on in your life
Inside you’re dying to get up off the chair
But lack of motivation is your new strife
It’s a sad state of affairs
When you can’t even pay your bills
But to be honest do you even care?
Give me alcohol, shrooms and more pills
It’s a sad state of affairs
To not remember the years growing up
Except the fights between your family and your frère
Makes you think 'I could jump into that slowing truck'
It’s a sad state of affairs
When your writing is what you confide in
Teenage angst mixed with an adults raging stare
On this mountain of life I see people climbing
It’s a sad state of affairs
When you realise you’re the one slipping and sliding

People that have had genuine abduction experiences that I've met that seem very genuine to me, but they're just confused about why it happened. I've met a lot of people like which I regard as being very genuine... but there's a lot of crazy people out there.

Window Into The Past
A Window into the Past.
Visiting time over, mother was ill in hospital she had been so tired lately.
Nearby a small stream, an empty box of matches was my raft, rudderless
it rushed down rapids and disappeared under ground, under the town
and I wondered if it reached the docks. I had bought mother a chocolate,
in the same shop that sold oranges and but they were too expensive,
but ate most of the chocolate while listening to her instructions, to peel
spuds, buy milk and yesterday loaf (half the price) , open a tin of sardines.
But first I had to go down to the docks see what ships were in and also try
to find my raft. When I came home mother stood smoking in the kitchen,
she had peeled the spuds. They had let her out only so she could pack her
suitcase; she had to go up the mountains, where the air was pure, and be
cured… and I knew why I hadn’t found my raft.

Comparing Deeds Done
An exhaustion that comes,
To the one giving...
Seems to go overlooked,
By what others do to share.
As if a competition in a race is there.
Instead of feelings that are genuine,
When comparing deeds done...
At social affairs.
Amongst those they are who benefit,
From their being in cliques.
Just to say how their time is spent.
Regardless if what is done is effective.
And generating an effectiveness,
Seems for many not to be their purpose.
Or an involvement to them really meant.
'Then what is their purpose? '
That's a good question to ask.
But I'm just an observer.
I am not the one behind the assigning to them tasks.
'Then you have time to waste! '
Are you kidding?
I am on my way to another hat fitting.

Raft of Emotion
I’m trapped on a raft of emotion,
Surrounded by mountains of doom.
The clouds of despair have been gathering,
Over dark seas, of impending gloom.
But sat on a rock of happiness,
Is a saucer of joy and of hope.
And if I could wade over to it,
Or pull myself across on a rope.
I know that this raft of emotion,
Could become a boat filled with glee.
And the clouds of despair could all disperse,
But the only one who can change this is me.

Little Andrew
Air -- "Gypsy's Warning"
Andrew was a little infant,
And his life was two years old;
He was his parents' eldest boy,
And he was drowned, I was told.
His parents never more can see him
In this world of grief and pain,
And Oh! they will not forget him
While on earth they do remain.
On one bright and pleasant morning
His uncle thought it would be nice
To take his dear little nephew
Down to play upon a raft,
Where he was to work upon it,
An this little child would company be --
The raft the water rushed around it,
Yet he the danger did not see.
This little child knew no danger --
Its little soul was free from sin --
He was looking in the water,
When, alas, this child fell in.
Beneath the raft the water took him,
For the current was so strong,
And before they could rescue him
He was drowned and was gone.
Oh! how sad were his kind parents
When they saw their drowned child,
As they brought him from the water,
It almost made their hearts grow wild.
Oh! how mournful was the parting
From that little infant son.
Friends, I pray you, all take warning,
Be careful of your little ones.

Women, like men, gossip about their affairs
Among themselves in a limited circles.
Unless someone knows about one’s affairs,
What credit will it fetch the one, the conquest?

With no intent for any return.
I love her and my love is genuine
As I continue though ignored.

Harmony is in miss-belief
An island had an equal number of men
and women.
Each man had affairs before and after
the matrimony.
Each man believed that his spouse never
had affairs.
Marital harmony thus is preserved.
