Paper Men To Air Hopes And Fears

The first speaker said
Fear fire. Fear furnaces
Incinerators, the city dump
The faint scratch of a match.

The second speaker said
Fear water. Fear drenching rain
Drizzle, oceans, puddles, a damp
Day and the flush toilet.

Fear wind. And it needn't be
A hurricane. Drafts, open

Splendid Treasure

Sometimes I think and try to find
What brings pleasure to my mind
And what is that feels so nice
And makes me to do it twice
And then I think the best thing
That can to all joy bring

Lonely Grill

Box speaker talkin out a tune
Two for one on a blue lagoon
Another lost and found
Bartender takes another pass
Puts the salt on the rim of another glass
And he sits it down
I know every color of every neon sign
Flashing out a heartache in the back of my mind
Down at the lonely grill
Got nothing but time to kill at the end of everyday

Why Not Now?

After your dead people say good things about you,
when you were alive they made you blue.
What about when you are alive?
why do we have to wait to
when there’s no more “your life”?
Now there is some good souls,
they are nice and say nice things and let you know.
Then of course there is the ones who are mad,
say mean things to make you feel sad.
If they only knew who you really are,
they would regret what they said thus far.
